Hi Ramón! I loved watching this thoughtful review, and I'm so thrilled that you've been enjoying Prequel! Even though I know my Prequel products inside and out, it's SO interesting to hear them described from a chemist's point of view. You bring such a unique and pertinent perspective to this platform!
I would love to see a glycerin based face mist and/or serum from the brand! I’ve found I prefer glycerin over HA as a humectant and would love to see a brand really lean into that ingredient.
This seems like a great line. I plan to purchase soon. I’ve been waiting for the urea moisturizer to restock. I’m not excited about oat in products for my own use though for allergy and autoimmune concerns. I am excited about it not having hyaluronic acid. I hope she is able to formulate a mineral sunscreen in the future with the same brand values. I like the pumps in the packaging.
I just got the Barrier Therapy and love it! It’s huge and like I can use it on face and body. Next I need to try to Gleanser! Oooh and the ointment. Must have.
I've been waiting for this! I plan to purchase. I love that it's affordable as well as so high quality, and also the larger containers help with not filling up landfills, etc.
Definitely would be interested if you do a later in depth video on hypochlorous acid. I've tried three so far, and tried decanting it once (and learned the hard way that the brand isnt kidding when they say not to decant it lol). I don't notice a difference if they're still active (based on the smell 😂)
I really appreciate your stance on commenting/recommending skincare (ingredients) based on your own experience and/or knowledge. Not many are that honest and represent such values, so kudos. And I would love to have Prequel available in Europe one day, looks like very nicely formulated line up with jumbo sized products 🤩 edit - ps: love your sweatshirt, it really suits you!
i started using the tower 28 hypochlorous acid spray and i think it’s helped clear some stubborn breakouts just can’t get past the smell. i wonder of this one has the same sensory experience
I’m buying the moisturizer and cleanser at some point the hypochlorous acid spray, I’ve used skinsmart spray for my feet and just my body while I’m at work or during the summer when I sweat more and it’s a lifesaver.
The hypochlorous spray is used in the hospital for chronic wound cleansing which is great for that! I just decant it to a spray bottle...I have seen it work miracles.
As far as bleach water, I just saw a dermatologist say it's fine to put ¹/⁴ cup bleach in bath 🛁., while showing mom putting teaspoon of bleach for baby for her daughter w/eczema. What are drawbacks?
I do not understand why hypochlorous acid is geared toward sensitive skin, the SOS spray broke me out. I am tired of skincare geared to sensitive skin that has HYALURONIC ACID, NIACINAMIDE and possibly heartleaf and madecassoside. I bought the gleanser. I will be hopeful before I jump on the other creams / moisturizer. I’m all for professional dermatologist creating their own skincare line but for the love of god, take those HA and Niacinamide bs out of there. They don’t realize we are the most valuable target consumer audience because we’ve tried everything from commercial to medical grade. And yes I know environment; stress, diet etc plays a whole lot more roll. I’ve gone through enough experiments with my skin through the pandemic that has made me so weary on jumping on tiktok trends
Is the 10% urea generally okay to use on the face? I use tret and azelaic acid, but I’ve been wanting to try urea to help with hydration and skin flakiness
I find it so weird that her other products are such good value, but her hypochlorous acid spray is $17 for only 4oz. Most other sprays are half that price per oz.
Although I wish it was a bit more affordable, I think they opted for mid-price point between some of the better value hypochlorous acid sprays on the market from reputable brands vs. one of the more popular sprays which is from Tower 28, which is even more expensive at $28 for 4 oz. Also to choose a cost that is comparable to the pricing of their other products
@@MrsCurioCheerio It’s definitely cheaper than Tower28, but it’s twice the price of the brand Dr. Dray recommends. I just can’t see the justification unless it does something more.
FYI, looks like a lot if not all of the links you have in the description are broken. Want to make sure you get credit for those of us who click to buy because of your review. ❤️❤️
hey Ramon! now even when I watch youtubers from UK like you they recommend products that we Europeans have no access to:( or am I wrong? where can I buy Prequel?:)
Hi Ramon. I found out about your channel by checking the subbed-to channels of a random user in a skin care comment thread of a video. What is it you do exactly as a Cosmetic Chemist ? Do you work as such engineering formulas for skin care products brands ?
Ramon, I stopped watching your channel because it felt like the virtue signaling around “brown skin friendly” reviews was excessive and inaccurate. Pure white pigment such as titanium or zinc are not suitable for ANY skin tone. It is disingenuous to insinuate that pure white mineral sunscreen would be completely undetectable on white skin. I am white and any mineral sunscreen I use is always used with foundation. You are creating a victim narrative around sunscreen. Sunscreen is not “friendly” or “unfriendly” to anyone. Add some foundation (just like white people do) and get on with the review. This senseless division and emphasis on skin tone denotes your expertise. You’re a cosmetic chemist. You *know* that titanium and zinc cannot be clear. You know this. You bring up skin tone in service of appearing moral and it is egotistical in my opinion. You want to appear virtuous when in reality, you’re being ignorant. Stop creating victims over sunscreen.
Omggg seriously?? Are you a chemist or are you just claiming to be an "expert"...🙄

Clear, correct. Elegant and wearable is a different story, however. Clearly you haven’t watched my content well enough. Until you formulate and develop product, what do YOU know? Also, full offense, as someone who doesn’t have to deal with issue of inclusivity in the beauty industry, you don’t have much room to speak objectively.
@ full offense- no mineral sunscreen is “elegant” on anyone! Add foundation and move on! I stand by what I said. Also- I’m Muslim. I’ve dealt with some serious stuff in my life, maybe not in the beauty industry, but in other ways. Don’t assume. White people can live through hardships too 😒 The woke BS is tiring. Woke ideology should not be in sunscreen reviews. You’re making mineral sunscreens less appealing to ppl of color for absolutely no reason. Just put your foundation on top of the sunscreen and move on.

Will they be available in Europe? They seem great!
The ingredients, size, and price point on this whole brand are stellar 😊

@amberwilliams
Clinique
Nieche Beauty has a really affordable, great glycerin serum.
I think geek and Gorgeous have their liquid hydration (can also be misted).
Experiment Beauty has a 30% Glycerin serum, I'm sorry it's not a mist but you could check that out :)
why do you prefer it over HA ?
Seems like an elegant, affordable and cruelty free alternative to CeraVe and Cetaphil. I am definitely trying this.

I saw that they just released a mineral sunscreen today so you're in luck!
@@apaz789 except I didn’t it have a good experience with their customer support. It’s a pass for now for me 😥

YESSS i’ve been waiting for thisss! i have the entire line, since launch, and they’re amazing!
❤ love everytime you say my husband. I remember when you used to say my boyfriend
I've been using the gleanser since Thanksgiving, and from the 1st use, I'm in love. My skin feels so supple afterwards.
I’d love to try the gleanser and the milk! I love how informed you are - I feel more knowledgeable after watching your videos. And influenced to try 😅

This is Gonna b so Good Ramon🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Thursday😀….
The price point is great unlike some dermatologists brands so that’s nice. I’m interested in the moisturizer and cleaner r
I just want the brand to restock the urea moisturizer….
Always love your reviews. Thank you.
LOVING PREQUEL 🌊🩷

You should also try out another dermatologist w/new skincare line Dr.Shereen Idri’s Pillowtalk Derm would love to get your insights.😊
Dr Shreene’s products are way too expensive
I. need. everything 😍😍😍
Thank you Ramon ❤❤❤
I do wonder what are the long-term effects of hypochlorous acid on the skin's microbiome?
Boy, Hypochlorous Acid does a lot of things. Does it walk your dog, too?

Anyone know if this is shipped to Canada without a ridiculous shipping cost?
They don't ship to other countries yet
