I don't remember if I told you or not, but after buying Homegrown Volume 3 and finding out Revenge was a sequel, I had to get my hands on Blood Cult. I found a $5 DVD, used, on some site and was JUST about to order it when Vinegar Syndrome announced their release. For more than $5. And of course I went with the VS. After watching it wished I'd stuck with the cheap option. So I agree, the sequel is quite a bit more fun. Intrepidos and Macho Woman sound like fun. Neither are my usual cuppa, but sounds like I'd enjoy at leasta single watch. Really glad you enjoyed reptilicus as much as you did. That's an old favorite of mine. I actually prefer the Danish version of the two, but both are a lot of fun. I need to go back and watch the interviews and such on that disc. AND I need to go back and grab Gorgo if it's still available. I passed on the Torture Stories as well, worried the subject matter would be too dark. Doesn't sound like it was, from what you said. Sounds like I would enjoy at least the first one.
Yeah, Blood Cult was not a good time. Revenge I will watch again. Gorgo and A Chinese Torture Chamber Story are definitely worth getting. Both very entertaining films.
I'd like to see another Roy Scheider film on Cinematrophique VS release is Sorcerer, yes its already out of Blu ray but that was almost bare bones, Id like to have a proper release with all the fixins including audio commentary and a booklet. One of Friedkin's and Scheider's best movie.
I've had Sorcerer recommended to me a few times and I still have yet to see it. I would love it if Vinegar Syndrome could get it. Two movies I really wish Vinegar Syndrome would be able to release are The Carrier (1988) and Riki Oh: The Story Of Ricky (1991).
@@CarlinCook Riki Oh is a crazy prison HK movie based on a crazy manga. loved it. Also the Carrier 1988 piques my interest I shall watch it post haste. I believe it had a code red release a several years ago on blu ray with an audio commentary.
@@CarlinCook I recently picked up the 88 Films release of Riki-Oh. It's region B but a nice transfer and a lot of cool extras. I think you'd said you watch on a game console that will do all regions, didn't you?
