I am not the biggest fan of Diana, HOWEVER.... her real joy while singing this made me smile from start to finish. Made my soggy rainy Christmas a bit brighter. Truly lovely.

I love watching Diana sing as much as I love listening to her. She is so full of joy and so transported. Sure she has an earthly audience, but you know who she is really singing to. :)
Her voice is so clear, in every note.

this version is very good, also interesting to see mehta conducting this masterpiece
great show diana. Her accent floated back into german in places (e.g.: shout, Rejoice), but her EXCELLENT tone, articulation, and use of ornaments more than makes up for it. I daresay it even makes my complaint seem fussy.

My friend, who isn't even crazy about Damrau, has it. One weekend, when I was staying at his house, I spent the whole night watching and rewatching the DVD. I haven't seen it since! I remember the gleam in her eye and the way she turned around really quickly for the quick time with her knife.
