If it works as advertised and actually makes accurate readings, this chronograph will be a winner at this price point!
I'm impressed
true words.
Test video when?
It definitely works. Picked mine up yesterday. Fantastic product.
Just tried mine out yesterday. It was nothing short of magic.
As an airgun and long range shooting enthusiast tired of fighting my old school chrony , but not thrilled with the lad radar options , this new unit looks pretty darn good .
Garmin, you're kicking butt! Keep innovating!
Pocket Clock-it sounds like a winner to me!!!
This is a game changer for sure! 🙌🏼 🤘🏼💪🏽🇺🇸
I'm excited that this has come to market. I started with a clunky Chrony. Moved to Magnetospeed but hate having to attach it to my rifle. Held off on purchasing Lab Radar because people had issues with the user interface. Maybe this will be The One. I would really like it to generate a velocity node graph on the app or at least have a way to export the data so I can generate my own.
Nice work Kevin!
Wow. You guys are gonna sell so many of these.
Picked up one today. Looking fwd to giving it a run.
Best Fathers Day EVER!!!
Love it!!
Mine just arrived!
It will be nice to see something like this hit the market as long as it works. Lab radar doesn't seem to be interested in making product improvements but nothing says Garmin will either. Their navigation system works great but maps are too often out of date with no updates available. Hope they do better with this unit.
If this would be someone's first chrono I can understand some of the questions here. I just upgraded to Xero from a 15 YO Pro-Chrono digital & LED sky-screens & have nothing to ask. The Garmin does much more and sets up in a minute or two vs 10 or more to set up the oldie & tripod, and align it to the bench for each target.
Can't wait to pick one up! My Lab radar is complete trash!
ordered mine at 5 AM today - hurry up FedEx!!!!
Several comments refer to exact positioning, expecting cosine error to affect readings. During a test comparing Xero to LabRadar original and new hand-held along with the Garmin. Velodities were 3120 or so and all three read within 10 fps or so even when all three were turned 15 or so degrees to one side. Radar works within its cone of reception, and with its axis so close to the muzzle (inches, feet) the readings aren't affected vs saay moving the chrono several feet to the side..
Just got mine yesterday! Glad i passed on the lab radar
Does it do a full plot like lab radar does so I can do true BC calculations or is it just for muzzle velocity?
Mine comes Monday. When can I expect it to give my Tactix 7 AB up to date average velocities in the solver?
When we measure a bullet speed we can measure it against Xero standing near a rifle or mounted on one.
It looks like these measurements can be different cause of a barrel recoil.
Did anyone check it?
How much different are these two measurements?
What is more correct: to measure speed of a bullet against Xero standing nearby or against a barrel (when Xero is mounted)?
Would love to see your measurement differences.
This thing is like black magic every time I see it in someone's video. It's like something out of a sci-fi movie; it feels like it shouldn't be possible in something so small.
mine arrives tomorrow, hoping it works well indoors!
Did it?
@@ErikisOfficial overall, yes. It often "detects" shots in the lanes adjacent to me but also almost always throws out those results, presumably it can tell that the shot was too far outside the cone to be the intended shot. But if I'm alone indoors? Yes, it works well with missing very few shots so long as I am also not rapid firing. I haven't tested to see exactly how quickly it will detect new shots but so long as I take a few seconds between shots it reliably picks them up. Outdoors you have the same issue if there are shooters in adjacent lanes. I hope that answers your questions, overall a fantastic and very convenient chrono, I'm very happy with it.
@SplashOfOrange that's good info. I just got mine in the mail last night. Can't wait to use it. I like how compact it is and that I don't have to attach it to a my barrel. That means you can shoot a accurate group and get velocity at the same time! Thank you
Any plans to update it to allow multiple readings at multiple distances? May hold off on buying one until that's an option.
awesome, can it be integrated with Foretrex-701 ?
Weatherproof? Amazing. I'm in.
Hello, thank you for your question. The Xero C1 Pro Chronograph has a IPX7 water rating.

It would be a great feature to add an Apple Watch app for shot view to show the live data on your wrist , so you don’t have to change position between shooting
And does it work under artificial light? Indoor bulb?
Wish this unit had something similar to the labradar where it will give you some down range data. If you know anything about USPSA matches, you will know that there is a thing called power factor aka chrono stage. And depending on what major you go to, they will some times have a traditional chrono like the cadwell chronograph, setup at 5 yards, while some majors will use a labradar.
Using the garmin makes it slightly more difficult you will need to plug your data into some kind of online calculator for it to be at 5 yards, to calculate the fps. If it had a built in feature to calculate this I would buy one in a heart beat and sell my labradar
I just bought this. Still learning how to use it. I'm having issues getting the unit and my phone to sync.
Thank you for your comment. Sorry to hear you are having syncing issues. Please reach out to our Product Support team at 800-800-1020 or support.garmin.com. They will be happy to assist.
@@GarminRetailTraining Thanks for the reply. I just read on another forum in order to link the Garmin I need an Android 10 or newer. My phone is several years old and I doubt it's a 10 or newer but I will check. I appreciate the reply.
Do the unit calculate Ballistic coefficient ?
Hey does it work for paintball and airsoft?
I do not have a 'smart' fone. Can this unit interface with my Dell Laptop? I want to be able to save sessions with load data, excel format desirable.
When is this becoming available in Australia?
Can you add a function in the app where you can assign environmentals to the session? Same as you would in strelok or any ballistic app.
My ballistic apps (ATN, Arken, One Leaf) include environmental inputs and are to be updated per session vs being stored in bullet profiles. The calculator crunches them together. If your scope has LRF & calc the chrono has little to gain/offer by duplicating what's in the optic already. JMO
Is there any reason it can't get velocity data at further ranges the way the LabRadar and FX can? Also Ballistic coefficient?
What is the measurement resolution and accuracy?
I need one for da practice shots ❤ Yummy
When will this be on sale in Europe?
It’d be cool if the app could generate velocity node graphs.
Do you know a way to display live results on a garmin watch (IQ apps)?
When will you offer this in Europe?
Take my money! When in Switzerland in stock???
we need a video comparing the Garmin Xero to the LabRadar LX
If this actually does all you say it does and consistently then you guys have a winner on your hands. Now will it measure bullet speed at multiple distances as it travels so I can calculate true bullet BC like the labradar?
@@Klemheist Thanks. That's a shame.
This is a good device, but not perfect.
It's a nice tool, if we're alone or there's enough distance between shooters.
Similar to Labradar, it gets confused on a crowded range. I shot 10 shots, Garmin recorded 18.
A quick an relatively easy fix would be a software upgrade, triggering the device when recoil is detected (chrono would have to be mounted on the rifle).
How does this solve the busy shooting range issue when mutiple rifles are shooting right next to each other?
Thank you for your question. Since the chronograph is to be placed within 5 to 15 inches of the rifle, we've not seen or had any reports of false readings or picking up shots from other rifles. Below is a link with instructions on how to set it up. I hope this helps.

I only miss the GPS data in the Garmin or a location :(
This is a big deal.
Very big deal.
working in indoor place ?
Will this work for 12 gauge load development for say shot 7 1/2 etc
Thank you for your question. The Xero C1 Pro tracks shotgun slugs with no problems. However, it does have its challenges with pellet loads as it usually picks up the wad instead.
Will it work with shotgun?
"Chronograph" is misspelled in the thumbnail.
Can it record in round Robin? Or can I add to a series, after ending it?
With most any chrono you just switch shots strings as you round robin. I do this with load workups, just have to be diligent to select the right string per shot. Chronos have offered this from way back, strings saved until deleted even between battery changes. Cheers.
Link to website doesn’t work
You should send one of this for testing. How can I reach you?
How does the shooter KNOW what distance the reading was captured by the Chronograph? The first shot could be recorded at 7 yards, and the next shot could be recorded at 12 yards, so how would a shooter know that with this Chronograph?
WHATS THE COST IN UK
How do I adjust the bullet weight when opening a new session
Thank you for your question. If you are not getting the option to enter the projectile weight for each session, select SETTINGS > PRO SETTINGS. Make sure the PROJECTILE WEIGHT ENTRY is "Enabled". If it still doesn't give you the option to enter in the projectile weight for each session, please reach out to our Product Support team at 800-800-1020 or support.garmin.com. They will be happy to assist. I hope this helps.
I'm selling my older PACT1.....this is just too cool to pass up.
Wish I had gotten a garmin instead of the magnetospeed. I dropped the display unit while trying to put it back into its carry case battery case broke off. Made of extremely cheap plastic. Not much room for taping or repair. for the price of a replacement display probably gonna end up getting the garmin anyway 😢
Will it work with a shotgun? What about battery replacement?
Thank you for your questions. In reference to your first question, it depends. The Xero C1 Pro tracks shotgun slugs with no problems. However, it does have its challenges with pellet loads as it usually picks up the wad instead. As far as the battery is concerned, it has an internal rechargeable battery that is not user replaceable. I hope this helps.
Take my money 💸
I want one. Scratch that…I need one.
Are lead times still 3-5 weeks on these?
Thank you for your question. Yes.
is the app available for an iPad also?
Great question! Yes, it is in the App Store and can be downloaded to an iPad.
need more in. They are all gone.....
Rifle mounted possible?
Area 419 makes the mount for it.
Shotgun?
These little monsters are bad a$$... A few of my guys run these and I'm grabbing one asap..
Read it and weep boys. That LabRadar with its' legendary triggering problems just got a LOT cheaper. By this time next year, they'll be giving them away. Great news!
down load to excel some how?
That's a great question! Yes, from the app you can export your session as a .csv file.
You should have produced enough so we could all get one. Just a big tease. Now not in stock till middle of December. Not good!!
If not available on market advertize them is like smoke in the air 😂
And just like that, all of the rest of the market called it a day.
will this work for shotgun loads too ?
Hi Scott, the Xero C1 Pro will work with a shotgun. It measures projectile speeds from 100fps-5000fps.
Thanks !!!@@GarminRetailTraining
Doesn’t work on knowing your shotgun velocity, however Garmin does make a device Zero S1 for shotguns and I believe shooting trap (not sure if will work’s with Skeet). Which will help in telling you if shooting ahead or behind the clay. Not sure of other features, but I will have to look on RUclips for a video for that device. However, it looks intriguing for those who shoot at least trap!
velocity data on my phone, but not my PC?
HARD pass.
(unless I've overlooked something).
Please announce when you've remembered to not neglect people that use a computer.
Thank you for your comments. Currently, we do not have any apps or programs for the PC that will pull data from the Xero C1 Pro. However, you can export the sessions from your smartphone as .csv files and send them to yourself via email, etc. I will be happy to pass along your feedback for future development considerations.
@@GarminRetailTrainingI did find a FIT to CSV converter after posting my comment, however as you mentioned it did seem to require passing through the phone, first. I'll never be putting any app-store software onto a phone (hopefully), so it would need to be as simple as plugging the USB into the PC or using Bluetooth and the app (program) being on the PC. Then you have a winner!!
Seems it should be pretty simple to do and hopefully was just an oversight.
Thanks for the follow-up.
LabRadar be gone!!!
Maybe release it at noon eastern so people out west could have a chance at getting one…
They're still available places
Too expensive
