Glad to see you picked one up!! I got lucky and got in the first batch when I got the email from Area 419 right as I was waking up the morning they released, lol. I have been using it since October and I am very, very happy with it. I shoot in some trees at my range at times and at dusk, so the optical type I was using would miss so many shots because the sun was not perfect. This has not missed a single shot yet. You are going to love it. The app is nice to use to save the sessions and you can name them to look back at later. I've not got to the point I keep files saved with data yet, so I just reference back to the unit or app for any data I want to review. Maybe someday I will be cool like everyone else! And the ability to adjust what info you want displayed on the main screen. You are going to really be happy that you got this added to your tools!!
@kyfirearms Totally worth it. Funny that all of a sudden LabRadar has a new version ready 🤣 They got whipped!! Happy with the Xero, and as much as I like getting the newest gadgets, I am sticking with it and not getting the new Lab. Keep enjoying it!!
The Garmin Xero C1 Chronograph is my Fifth Chronograph and by far the BEST of them all! But a BIG thank you for doing the review. …I haven't played with the Garmin Xero C1 as much as you. My range time is limited. Again, thank you for the video. I will keep it for information.
Thank You Sir! It does seem handy! I think it washes cost wise with the magnitospeed + a special mounting hardware( used to securely mount and align). 👍🇺🇲
In mild defence of the choice to use CSV, once you have it in Excel or LibreOffice Calc, you can embed pictures and basically get the same thing you had in the other format. At any rate, I love mine -- I came from using one of the old school optical shooting chronographs so my perspective is a bit skewed from the people and their fancy Magnetospeeds and Labradars, but I could never go back to using any other shooting chronograph after the Xero.
Yeah. I need to brush up on my Excel but it does have some benefits in that format. I am really liking this little unit and it’s going to hard for me to use my old Prochrono now. Thanks again.
No. If mine is on and I open the app it will sync. It doesn’t import in real time like my pro chrono, you have to close the shooting session. It is very handy and has never missed a shot, but I do like some things about the pro chrono app better.
These are the best as for my opinion, can you do one short video on how you down load it to print with pictures? Or even transfer to your laptop , not sure just what to do, do have it on my phone too and love this little unit. Nice video 👍👍👍👍
Nice overview, thanks. I just received mine and have only fired a few rounds over it. This thing is a real game changer for hand loaders. However I have not been able to determine if you can add shots to a previous "session", for example when shooting round robin while testing different loads. 1 shot of a given load, move to next session, 1 shot of a different load, move to next session until each load is fired once, then return to the first session to add another shot of that load. I thought going to History, then recalling a Session and then the Shot List and shooting would work but it doesn't add another shot to that session/list. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks, I have been looking at mine and I don't think you can re-open a session. It would be nice if you could though. It's been a great unit for me and really easy to set-up.
Something I have found missing in all the online reviews that I've seen, does it track downrange velocity like the LabRadar? That's not the killer feature, but for the price comparison to my Competition Electronics Bluetooth enabled optical chrono, what does it give me other than cloudy day or indoor range performance?
No doubt mentioned in comments somewhere, but be aware that Garmin designed this to be used alongside the firearm, not attached to it; therefore the warranty will be void if used attached to your rifle. I’ll bet there’s an accelerometer in there somewhere that prompts the unit to record “sudden and repeated events”.
I needed a new toy. I really like my Prochrono and it has thousands of rounds through it. I had been saving my Cabeles points so I didn’t pay full price.
Great video 😁 I've been wanting one ever since they came out. I'll be getting my 1st social security check here next month. I think that'll be a first purchase with money i never expected to see, as long as Biden doesn't steal it. 😂

Thanks. I have been looking to get one and glad that I finally did. Like you say it’s an awesome little piece of equipment.

I’m sold. Going to order one soon. Thanks
well done ....very straight forward video and made it easy to understand how to use it.. mine is in the mail....cant wait to get it.....thanks again
Thank you. It is a great chronograph and you will not regret it. I have done quite a bit of shooting with it and it has not let me down yet.
just got it in the mail today.......let the fun begin
Afternoon Man! ❤
Howdy brother👍
Nice, KFW. I tested mine for the first time today. I’m impressed so far. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
Thanks. It’s a very impressive and little piece of equipment.
I tried one at the range two weeks ago. I ordered one today.
It’s a great piece of equipment.

Yes. They are all similar in price and I think this is the best unit available now. Thanks again.
Pretty neat. Hopefully the price will go down over time. Great video, first time seeing one in action.
Thanks, I appreciate it. Yes, they are pricey and hopefully they will go down. At least I don’t have to worry about shooting it.
I like it it’s small and compact it’s just as expensive as the lab radar thanks for sharing
I knew someone would come out with a smaller unit and this is it. Thanks
I'm impressed...

Buying one next year. I need to know the velocities of my reloaded ammo.
It's a great investment. You will not be sorry.
KFW my buddy just recently purchased one. It takes forever to sync with his IPhone for some reason. Have you seen that?
No. If mine is on and I open the app it will sync. It doesn’t import in real time like my pro chrono, you have to close the shooting session. It is very handy and has never missed a shot, but I do like some things about the pro chrono app better.
@@kyfirearms Ah ok so you have to close out the shooting session, then open the app and sync to phone. Ah ok.
...just got mine today...looking forward to checking the velocity of my 45 acp/9mm reloads...
Awesome. Hope you like it as much as I like mine. 👍👍
This was great !
Thanks
Looks nice 👍
Thanks. It’s a pretty cool little device.

It's a great unit. I will try to make a video sometime about how to make log books with it. Thanks again.

...hell of a lot easier to set up than my old Shooting Chrony with those screens...
Yes. Very easy to set up.
Thanks for the comment. Good info👍
How does it work measuring pistol velocities?
Awesome. I made a separate video on it.
Awesome
Thanks 👍
Is this the newest/best model? Thanks.
Yes, as far as I know.
Wow, you spent the bucks. I’m still happy with my old pro Chrono. 🤷♂️
I needed a new toy. I really like my Prochrono and it has thousands of rounds through it. I had been saving my Cabeles points so I didn’t pay full price.

Thanks. It is pricey but I feel like it’s worth it.
@kyfirearms I've been using a Chrony skyscreen style for years. It works, but I don't think it's very consistent. Time for a upgrade 👍
Well at least there wont be two types of people with it. Those who have shot their Chronograph, and those who haven't shot it yet.
I think everyone who owns a chronograph will shoot it at some point. It not a point of if, but when. Thanks for the comment.
Shot my 18 year old Shooting Chrony years ago. Had to buy a new one. Now I'm going to get the Garmin.
