- Hide a Winch behind your OEM Factory RAM 1500 Bumper! This installation video walks you through every step to make installation easy. Using the Bolt on VICE Design integrated Winch Bracket we install a Warn Industries VR-Evo 12,000 lbs winch with synthetic line into this bumper.

This kit fits 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 1500's with the metal front bumper (Laramie , Big Horn, Lone Star, Longhorn, Limited, Tradesman). It works with 3.6L V6, 5.7L HEMI V8 and a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engines!
I have this on my list for my 2017 ignition 🍊 Ram, this by far is the best option. With the Rebel Trim Package it fits just perfect with the two 6 inch light bars.

You will need a bigger washer to attach the winch to the winch mount, other than that, awesome mount!
Oh I don't know about this outfit. I see a flat biller (bad). Lots of denim (good?). Fitted denim (bad?) A glimpse of an iron ring (good). Shirt pockets (bad). Canadians (good?, bad?). Straight cuts with proper radiused corners (good).
Looks like a nice kit gents. I don't even know how I got here. Not looking for winches or bumpers or Ram stuff. LOL. Do enjoy good engineering though. Carry on!
Cool kit. Is the pickup at the end of the video the same truck? Or just shot at a later date with updated headlights? Asking because I'm very curious about the dependability of the wireless remote
This would be perfect, I get my winch & still retain clearance for my snowplow mount. Can the clutch side of a winch be removed and Reclock its handle position 180° for winches that have a top side clutch release? I plan to use a Badlands Apex 12k winch ( Harbor Freight, but it's made by warn & rebranded)

Any kit for the 2011?
This is awesome! It looks like this lowers the factory tow hooks a little bit due to the spacers that are installed. Does this cause any problems with the fitment of the factory plastic bezels around the towhooks? (2016 1500 Bighorn).
Only 0.18" lower No fitment issues with the bezels and tow hooks :)

Awesome guys ! I have a question when I go to order this kit with the warn zone 12-s does it come with two controls ? A wired one and wireless one like I saw earlier in your vid ? Also how much extra weight does this add to the front of the truck ? Thanks
Hey Blake the winch comes with one controller but it has a wire that can be plugged into the controller and winch to connect the two. The winch mount is about 58 lbs and the winch with the synthetic line is 65lbs. If you have any questions you can send us an email at info@vicedesign.ca

The 2019 Classic comes with a few different bumper options. Would it fit a 2500? And i have a smittybilt x20 17.5k winch, would it be too big to hide under there? Thank you for an outstanding video too btw.
Good questions. The 2500/3500 is built on a different chassis so this one will not work. What year is your truck and what engine do you have?

What would be needed to work with a 2010 with a sport bumper I can't imagine there's much of design difference from a 2010 to a 2013 and would it change the way the bumper fits to the truck if I did this?
Unfortunately the sport bumper has parts that interfere with the mount and it also lacks the support required for the mount. The best route to go is with our MOD series bumper with the winch attachment - it will greatly increase the protection and offroadability, with a minimal weight penalty. Why do you not show how to wire the winch to the battery? the terminals on a 2017 ram 1500 5.7 sucks what do you buy to attach to your battery i mean no info anywhere?

Wish you made one for my 2014 ram 2500 6.7 cummins.
It says this will not fit Sport\Express. Isn't the slot in the bumper not in the correct height? Seems like it is, but the plastic insert will need to be removed or trimmed. Also the clutch relocation and retainer hook wont be easy since there is no metal to attach to. Not a biggy for some winch hooks.
I also noticed that there are upper holes that match the holes for the fairlead mount (2:44). Does this allow the fair lead to mounted higher? Hence the big ass hole for the winch rope. I would prefer that so I can retain my light bar in the bumper. Many Ram owners are mounting the winch higher in the bumper. It looks pretty good.
I think I figured it out why. My express has a crossmember for a bumper. Probably not the wisest to remove it. I could work around it but i wouldn't need that fairlead mount.
i am pretty sure that winch mount alone would work. I bet other Sport/Express owners would be interested. Looks way better than channel iron that they are using.

Nice video but its a bad habit step over a line that's being used under tension like the camera man did at the end. Granted its synthetic line and wouldn't have as much recoil as a cable would but still.

@@djwalker1260 Good call! The flip up licence plate bracket kit we sell may be detected by the parking sensors, otherwise the mounting kit and all other options are compatible with parking sensors

Why won’t this fit a 2010 ram 1500?
Its a bit more work to get it going on a 2009-2012 but it is possible, others have done it using this kit. Have to drill out a hole in the frame mount and cut an opening in your bumper. Can I have this mount and use any winch to put in it?
Yup any medium body winch with the standard 10 x 4.5 bolt pattern will fit. We recommend the WARN VR EVO series or Smittybilt X20 winches because they were what the kits were based around and certainly work the best with this mount

This is pretty much useless now that the Evo VR controller has been recalled. No more wireless function

Have you thought about doing a 2013+ Ram 2500/3500HD hidden rear winch mount that fits behind an OE rear bumper? My Ram offroad group would keep you slammed building them. Hundred of us wheel, rock crawl and expedition our HD Rams and need someone...anyone to step up and help us out. IG@over_ram

All you have to do to unlatch the headlight is open that little flap! You don't have to rip open the fender skirt! Do you guys know what a Gearwrench is? LMAO
