I got a Trail Boss and I like it. I was so close to choosing the Frontier. My issue with the turbo 4's isn't the power, it's the longevity! We'll see how this goes, everyone says it's built like a tank and has been solid in the Silverado.

Arm rest is no big deal to me. Farm boy here, I grew up driving left handed anyways. You drive left handed in tractors so you can control your boom and rear hydraulics with your right hand.
People complain about the headlight control placement. I don't see the issue. You just set them to turn on and off automatically like you do now and that's it
I think it’s very strange, you have to realize automatics settings aren’t on every car. I don’t have that, so for me, it’s very odd to not be able to easily do that. It shouldn’t be a screen feature.

Just picked up a Z71 earlier today. Not sure if it’s the tires or what, but seems to be a lot of road noise/wind noise. Can’t tell exactly what’s causing it. The roads here are also kind of rough asphalt to provide better grip in the rain so maybe that. (Seattle area)

Honestly a great looking truck. I really like it. Would look really good in white with 15 inch method wheels. I wonder how reliable these things are compared to a Tacoma I also love turbo noises so there's that!
It's a nice truck for sure! The Tacoma's in general are way more reliable than another truck. With the 4 cylinder in the new tacoma, it should be just as reliable. The tundra has a similar engine, and toyota has already had a 4 cylinder tacoma and those have been reliable too!
I think I saw on another review video that the headlight controls are buried somewhere in the infotainment, without any physical controls for low beams/DRLs
If a new vehicle got damaged at the factory, they would probably scrap the vehicles for a write off. Or replace any damaged panels. They wouldnt be shipping damaged cars to dealers.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Why don’t you check GM Forums; thousand of Colorado & Canyons sitting & not shipped after Large Hail storm @ MO plant, GM and dealer’s not saying a word. None were scrapped; yet secretly tents were erected as some repair was implemented. Truck orders were many month late to ship to dealers for orders; wonder why? GM & Dealer’s use to be on the up & up; not any more, like the government So Corrupt!

@@gordmonteath6090 nahh the new tacomas power plant destroys this. I like that the offroad colorados have the front locker though. The only thing is, coming into a moment where a front locker is needed when wheeling a stock struck is pretty rare, and toyotas traction control system does a good job of compensating.
Have had my Z71 for a couple months. An over the air update killed the battery twice. GM needs to get better IT workers if they are going to have these types of infotainment systems. They pushed a bad update that killed a lot of canyon and colorado batteries.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed it sent the radio into recovery mode is what I was told. And it kept trying to download the update drawing power from the battery until it died.
Dont like it really...not a fan of everything going digital even things like the lights. I'll stick to my 2018 Colorado Z71. Some things need to be left for the driver to easily switch. I am not a fan of the digital screen as my speedometer either. I paid $28,500 for my truck new so it's crazy how expensive cars have gotten. Hope my truck last forever...
It seems like he really had to work hard to avoid mentioning all the cheap plastic in this vehicle. Lots and lots of cheap plastic. Crazy for the asking price.

Depends on what they buyer wants and needs. For me, I don’t need a full size which is why I bought a Tacoma. You would be getting a base full size as well, so less features even though it’s bigger. You buy what you want.
I not only hate the "hyper tech flat screen" panels all over the drivers side and dash but look at all that horrible chrome all over all the buttons in that vehicle. That's a sun reflection blinding disaster waiting to happen. What a nightmare for drivers in real life. I have a 2021 Z71 Colorado and the only bit of chrome is just the chrome on the chevy logo on the steering wheel and that thing blinds me at least once or twice a week. What a horrible sophomoric design decision from young people who live in a world of theory and computer mock ups rather than anyone with a real world take on these design languages. I don't know what, but I also hate this world we are moving towards where there are no easy to glance at gauges anymore and every vehicle you get in you need a month or more to get used to a user interface on what is basically a new computer. I might sound old saying some of this shit but I'm not, I'm 33 and grew up with this new world of technology so it's not some old man bias. I just think it's worse in some cases, vehicles being a big one. P.S. fuck the stupid cameo in the cupholders and storage areas, how fucking cringe could you possibly be.

Headlights are automatic by default but to manually change it’s done through the screen.

With that 4 banger I wounder how hard the 4 wheel drive system would struggle if you needed to use it in ruff terrain.
