Absolutely beautiful. There's one patch on the lower side that looks like pink/purple iridescent resin. The handle is pure grace. I'm going to have to find some snakewood.

Here in Germany it's real expensive to find this exotic woods... love them... not so boring 'n sad as oak or acer... rosewood, palmtree... all those colourfull woods!

Yes! That is an award-winning piece. I love the finial AND your choice of acrylic tint! For my taste, too many turners use garish colors like neon green or yellow that scream at you. Your choice here is beautiful on it's own and blends in nicely with the color of the vessel.

As always, the master is at work again with a truly superb item of woodturning and art combined. This time we can see the true beauty of snakewood in its purest form matched with blackwood and a yellow species. Snakewood is an amazing product of nature. I've only had the privilege of working with pen blank sizes. I look forward to these uploads each week as they inspire me to aim higher.

Absolutely spectacular! Not only do you use some of the most beautiful woods and have such organic shaped turnings but also how you sometimes incorporate hand crafted pieces as well, at first I thought the handle was going to look bad and out of proportion and if you turned it that would probably be so but that delicate flame shaped handle just brings the entire piece to a whole new level. Once again you have out done yourself, you are a man of vision and taste, well done!

Really fine craftmanship. I really like the concept. Might I suggest that you apply the spray finish while the piece is still turning slowly on the lathe? It would be more even that way.
