Yooooo I hellla appreciate this video. I got a Rm85L 2007 and didn’t even know this existed before today. I love learning about bikes and want to understand what they do and how to put it together so I appreciate this video. Mine only had one screw on it and it kept leaking black stuff and never had a hose on it. Do you think that could be the cause of it sputtering when accelerating ?
@@TepcoCycleRepair hmmmm ok I’m going to take it apart and put it back together to make sure nothing is sticking I already had you subscribed and hit the bell brotha appreciate your reply and content.
@@TepcoCycleRepair yea I have no issues at all mate, please check my channel bikes my pride and joy and is always kept a1 I had 2x rm125 engines and those had adjustable power valves via the 2 Phillips and 8/6mm screws on the left side of the cylinder mate this adjuster has the long weld mark as such hard to describe and then it’s twisted to make spring tension stronger or looser I’m wondering what way gives what difference
good video but can u show how to tune a exhaust valve like this, i have no clue becouse theres no lever to change the power to lower engine speed or something
Which years of the rm 85 have the power valve adjustment. I have a 2006 and I don't think it has it
Will the 2005 cylinder work on a 2003 ship told it would

If it wasn't operating properly it could definitely be the issue. I have a bunch of other 2 stroke videos as well to help teach others, check them out

I have a 2002 rm85 uk fully road legal how do I adjust the power valve?
@@Tizzy_p You need to make sure it's clean and moving freely. Pull the front cover off and make sure it's moving in and out freely.

You can't tune the 85 power valve only the 125 and up CC have the ability to change the spring tension to change when the valve opens.
@@TepcoCycleRepair dang i was hoping to not hear that but my speculations came true. Thanks for proving my thoughts right.
