That was a good video. I’m having issues with it breaking up on top and kinda seems like it’s a loading up I don’t know if that’s my power valves. I just change the reeds they were cracked. I bought the bike in a box so I’m putting it back together it seems to be running a little rich blowing oil out the header pipe
I have a 1994 rmx250 farm bike and I JUST realized that it had a power valve. I doubt this valve effects compression? my compression is only 70psi but it runs good besides bad low end. the thing goes fast but wont wheelie and hardly can get a start and sprockets plenty big so basically exactly how you explained it which was done perfectly for a beginner like me.
Check compression when it’s hot, pull plug, out screw in compression checker in (can be bought or rented from orileys) hold throttle wide open and kick over 5 times or as soon as compression needle stops climbing write ✍️ number down clear line do this 3 times. I haven’t seen an RM250 run below 120 psi.
@@maksikkarenduro9218 alright, thanks man! I did run the test cold I just figured it wouldn't be that significant of a loss but I didn't have throttle open so maybe that makes a big difference.
Can some tell me how to put on the other side for the power valve that makes it move I took it all sorts and now when I push up on that rod it sticks idk how it goes on right some help me
Tengo problemas al salir con la motocross. Tengo que acelerarla mucho e ir usando el embrague, tengo desconfigurada la válvula de escape. Como la configuro?
For now I'll be riding in about 55°ish weather, 50%humidity, bp is @ 29%, altitude 5312' Bp is a rid estimate because it's raining today but this is our weather for now. Thanks for your help kind sir!
Shelby DeBusk no you dont have to take the screws totally out just loosen them so you can spin the camp. The tighter you spin the cap to the right the tamer the hit will be. The looser the spring the harder the initial hit will be. The tighter the spring the easier it will start the looser the spring the harder it will be to start. So install and turn about a full turn right and tighten see how you like it then turn more to the right to tame and then left to make it more like a demon. Hope this helps
would this work on a 1998 RM 250 it has the same thing but i don't know if its safe, i have a crap ton of bottom for endure but i want some top end bc I do motocross and my friend i bought it from did endure so i didn't know if it would work on mine bc i ned to change the power band to a little bit of top end lmao
The looser the spring tension the more top end the stiffer the more bottom end. Reminiscing returns obviously too loose you’ll foul a lot of plugs to tight you can over heat the engine.

If you have an iPhone theirs an app called jetting for Suzuki it helps get the jetting right for your area.

My 91 125 was the same bottom end power top end , 250rms rocket ships
Whats the best setting to wheelie? Give it more spring tension or less?
Less
Give it more throttle & have the back break covered

same problem, ever get it fixed ?
Hey I have the Husqvarna to 300 how u said to adjust for enduro I have to lose it ?

Did you have to grid the new ignition cover for the flywheel weight?
Can you tell me what that hose above the power valve is for
Pressure vent
Thanks for the help!
No worries mate 🤙🤙
Hola, si el giro lo hago hacia la izquierda provoco que la apertura de válvulas sea más tardía? O estoy equivocado?
Well bud, 2 strokes don't Have valves so your looking at the wrong video
What elevation are you riding at? I'm at 5200ft above and trying to figure my jetting.
Thanks.
From 300-6000 feet
Send me you’re temp, altitude, humidity and barometric pressure in inches of Mercury of you can then I can give you a pretty solid baseline to try .

@@740films yes
Same ideas on a 85 03
Does this work for a 2000 rm250
I’m pretty sure you have a power valve that pretty close to the same. But looks a tad different and yes I do believe so.
What way do I turn it for more bottom end/tractor mode?
Turn clock wise. That tightens the spring up.
@@maksikkarenduro9218 how do you know if the power valve is in its neutral position?
@@kbsrfilms903 you talking neutral spring tension or the mechanical portion of the power valve itself in relativity to the exhaust port?
@@maksikkarenduro9218 the tensioner mate, forgot to mention that
My 2003 RM125 doesn’t have this round cover with the 2 screws / bolts on the left side of the cylinder. 🤔
That's odd, my 02 does
Thanks boff
Can i still drive my rm125 w/o power valve rod
You will blow it up
I bought a 99 rm without the rod etc inside bike runs ok just sucks because it doesn't Rev out like a 2 stroke should
Lol yeah I'm sure that happened to you
What are you talking about?
