Some may dislike this or other videos of Pantera, but at least they didn't turn into some all electric computerized music band like some others where all the members do is just jump & dance around stage while singing (or not).

Because back then when this came out and we saw them live Phil was bad ass. He was that powerful person, he's the one that got us all into Pantera, he represented the anger we all had as kids. Dime was badass of course and his riffs were epic of course
There is a technique, actually many to begin getting the growl. "Vocal fry" is one technique to practice. Its ver subtle at first and then starts building up strength. Look into practicing techniques on a daily basis......you'll b shocked what it does for your voice. Also try to get behind a mic as soon as possible. Three a tremendous amount you can do with a mic as far as aiding a good scream. The key is practice and stay at it.
