    I worked for a Korean family and received a Korean brand of the citron tea. You only mix in a spoonful or two into hot water. Sure some have better ingredients. Lasts forever and can’t do a winter without it now-best thing for sore throats.

    Hi. That citron tea is actually Korean brand. we drink it with table spoon with hot water, specially in winter time. it is good remedy for cold if it has good ingredients like real citron called you-Ja, ginger and honey. We barely use as jam or dressing 😆.

  • @HungHingPang

    The lemon stuff is actually good. It originated from S Korea. You mix it with hot water and you have your hot tea - it’s really good for this time of the year. They used to carry the original. The one they currently have, is new. So not 100% sure if it’s the same or a copy of the original for a lesser price/quality.

  • @jessicaqu

    That honey citron ‘jam’ is really popular in Asia. The one Costco carries is a Korean brand, but in any Asian market you will find at least a handful of different brands. You can certainly use it as a jam, but it’s more commonly used as a tea - just add hot water. It’s amazingly tasty, and great during the winter when you’re dealing with a cold or sore throat. Unfortunately as you pointed out, it’s made with terrible ingredients. Maybe once in a while it’s okay 😉

  • @haldwi
    @haldwi 3 года назад +2

    Bobby, that ginger lemon tea is common is Korean cuisine, especially for winter warm drink. The original version is of course made with real lemon slices preserved in honey. It is delicious, soothing and caffeine free for nighttime treat. And obviously, the food industry will then have to destroy a good thing by adding HFCS and all that junk!

    The VonBee Honey Citron (Lemon) & Ginger Tea (HCGT) is excellent quality compared to the other brands & smaller jars found in Asian grocery stores in Toronto, Canada. We discovered this product last winter at Costco. It is a common item in Korea. In Asia, it is common to have a drink of lemon juice & warm water first thing in the morning for hydration & to boost the immune system. HCGT has lemon peel in it, natural ginger, etc & is delicious; a spoon of it is added to a cup of warm water or tea. My elderly Mom loves it, including spreading a spoon of it on toast. It is great particularly in the winter months. You mentioned the high sugar content & preservatives which is not good (hopefully the manufacturer can modify the recipe to make it healthier). But one does not use a lot of it; everything in moderation.

I know...far from Chicago...but maybe you can arrange something with them? They send you stuff to sample and get mentioned on your channel (for *honest* reviews, good or bad)? Started Keto a month ago. No more oatmeal for me for a while. Organic steel cut for me.

      @@MB-uy5kh I don’t think any oatmeal is keto approved. I’ve been doing keto as well and I react badly to even the slightest bit of carbs. Maybe you are not as sensitive. Good luck.

    I bought the avocado oil, the wild salmon, the oats, and the blueberries all in one trip before I even watched this video, lol, I did however buy the organic blueberries, but I already had a bag of the wild ones from another trip, the wild ones do taste better.

      I'm in love with the seaweed chips, some reason I really crave them.

    When does the Laird promo end? It's Weds. morning and the site (accessed from link above) doesn't reflect 25% off, just free shipping.
