Thank you for the recommendations. I was planning on Angelina Paris but after seeing the line to enter, hearing the lackluster review, I will go to La Jacobine instead. The thickness rich flavor, and presentation won me over.😍
I love Colleen's face when she enjoyed the chocolate! She looks like a little girl about to do some mischief :D Thanks for this video! Certainly some hidden gems here that I'll be sure to visit when I get to travel to Paris again. Hugs from Chile.
Coming to paris in early June. Your recommendations and videos have been so packed with info. Instead of being worried I now feel confident in where and how to go, eat, etc!
I just discovered your videos and they're such fun. I'm a senior hoping to travel to Paris but have been intimidated to travel on my own. You two are an inspiration. Have you ever considered doing day tours? Thank you.
Thank you, Colleen & Antoine! Paris has been my dream forever, but as a poor bookseller in San Francisco, it was never going to happen. Guess what? I won a trip to Paris in a sweepstakes, and I fly two months from today! I am devouring your wonderful videos, and this may be my favorite yet. We'll be staying in the Latin Quarter and Marais/Bastille, so most of these places will be walking distance. I hope to hit them all! I've got two weeks in France, with most in Paris, and a side trip to see friends in Brittany in the middle. So, if you've been thinking about a Brittany video, I encourage you to bring it out soon! 😁. Meanwhile, I am taking careful notes on all sides of your recommendations. Merci!!
You are both very kind. Truthfully, I think it was the best two weeks of my life! I am 55, and I have been dreaming of Paris forever. But it turns out that my imagination was not up for the task. It could not picture how truly beautiful Paris is! Everywhere I looked, I was entranced! And with two weeks in France, I really had time to see all the highlights, as well as days for just wandering. I don't know that I will ever have the good fortune to return, but I feel so grateful for this trip. I will be thinking back on it forever. Thanks for asking, and happy New Year!
Gosh, what a gift to find your channel! As a 50-something American Francophile hoping to relocate by my retirement (and visiting Paris this late March + looking for the best hot chocolate), this was soooo fun! Thank you for sharing your joy + intel. Just subscribed.
My wife and I have been watching all of your videos in preparation of staying in a Paris for a few weeks. We just arrived and talk about so many things you've pointed out to us and we have learned. Thank you and hope we see you out on the town!
My mother and I ate at La Jacobine today and they certainly do have the best hot chocolate! 😍 Everything else on their menu is delicious too. Thank you for the recommendation!
This was the most necessary video EVER. Very cool to learn about the tucked away places - they have some of the best food! I love traditional hot chocolate and may need to make some now. As an aside, you walked by La Favorite Saint Paul (the restaurant with the pink flowers) and I have a photo of it on my wall! Your videos help me relive our trip to Paris and inspire our next one.
Guys, don't take me wrong, but .... I love you both! Sharing your fantastic food experiences in Paris you almost let me feel the taste of those amazing and delicious desserts you eat. Thank you so much!
Merci boucoup! I have had chocolate chaud at Berthillon, Angelina and Laduree. Berthillon salon de the is of course delightful. Especially if you end up sharing a table with a delightful elder Parisian lady who wants to chat. Laduree on the Champs is, well, on the Champs. With regard to Angelina, I was very lucky. I was at Versailles on a non-busy day (one school tour and a few other small groups - amazing) and headed into Angelina to avoid said school group for a bit. I was one fo five people, and I think I lucked out in that because the service and food/drink were very good. I look forward to trying all of your recommendations :) If you're ever in Toronto I can point you to a few good places. Cheers! (Colleen, I adore your facial expressions and you're about to bite into a treat)
I had Angelina's about ten years ago and don't recall it been crowded. But I will definitely try the others on my next trip. What a scrumptious, wonderful video !
I love how when Antoine and Collen react to their food, they're so happy like little kids when they eat something delicious. You guys are so dope! Happy New Year!
Thanks for this. The only chocolat chaud I've ever had was at Angelina, and it was the best I'd ever had. Looking forward to trying the other places when I get back to Paris later this year.
If you guys managed to have all of this in one day, then kudos to you! 😅 This video makes me want to run back to Paris - sooo good! And even though we had a delightful lunch at La Jacobine (thanks to you) and had the best onion soup and the duck, we were just to full for dessert, obviously unfortunately. But that only means we have to go back there next time! Thank you for your delicious video!
The same thing happened to us! No room for dessert after that delicious onion soup and for me, cheesy ravioli! We also had to get over to the Seine for our boat ride. We are definitely going back for some hot chocolate next time. I miss Paris!
Love all you videos..Great info on Paris ..Can’t wait to go back to Paris ..I have to say that 20 years ago my husband took me to Paris and to Angelina..After reading so much about Paris this was the one place I wanted to go and have the famous hot chocolate "L'Africain"..,When they brought the hot chocolate I cried…For me it’s a incredible memory…

We truly appreciate all the logistical and helpful information delivered with such warmth and charm. Now we are adding hot chocolate to the list ✅
I loved the background music. This is a great video! My wife and and I are Paris and France lovers! I'm the chocolate lover. Thanks for the quick journey through our favorite city. Twice to France/Paris last year for us. I'm sure we will be there this year too so we can try out these places.
Thank you for this video. I'm glad to know that I don't need to waste my time in line at Angelina's. I hope La Jacobine still have that almond/pistachio/raspberry dessert when I finally get to Paris. I'll be dreaming about it and the hot chocolate for months.
I was in Paris in October ‘22 & had hot chocolate at a cafe on Rue Cler, Cafe Central I believe-it was a life altering experience! Very rich & unlike what we get here in the U.S., not too hot. I hope to check out your list in the not too distant future!
Hello, My 3 picks agreed with all the top 3 chosen by Colleen. Thank you so much for introducing Le Loir dans la Théière. I once visited there for cakes but did not know about their amazing chocolate. Light and tasty, my cup of tea/chocolate is the one I will keep going back to. Jacobine chocolate was also impressive, but I prefer the airiness of Le Loir dans la Théière. Thank you again for the information. Your video enriches my life in Paris. Of course, I am subscribed.
Hi guys, awesome video. I definitely wrote some of those places down. I love chocolate. I eat it everyday lol. The pastries looked to beautiful to eat hahaha. You two sure have fun, great to see. I look forward to seeing your next video. Viva la France. 🇫🇷 as always have a good one eh!😁🇨🇦
Wow, truly a delicious video!! I know Angelina's does, but do the other cafes serve hot chocolate year round? Many thanks for taking us all on your amazing adventures!
Wow nice video! I have been to Paris many many times and it is always about the coffee. I never even thought to have hot chocolate there but will try it next time.
This all looks so yummy. I was drooling over the raspberry and pistachio tart - oh my word- together with the chocolate it must have been divine. Best hot choc ever was in a little cafe in Menton, away from the tourist area as the sun was beginning to lose its intense heat. I always think about it and wonder why I didn’t have more! (It came in a silver pot and we didn’t empty it!). 💕

@@LesFrenchiesTravel I've heard Café des Anges and Le Voltigeur serve it this way on the Right Bank, but I don't know about the Left.
