I love that you talk about this! I completly share your views on sustainable gardening and that we need to take relax a little (although that is easier said than done sometimes). We are part of a system and we need to adapt to it - not try to control it. Thank you Ben for bringing this up 🌹🌻

Excellent (polite) rant and reminder of what we should be doing at this time of year and all seasons 😊

Самое мудрое видео от эксперта. Как много чепухи распространяют ради продаж химикатов и садового хлама. Благодарим, я поняла смысл видео на английском языке.

Thanks Ben! This is great advice - I’m at the other end of the world, in Tasmania, but follow the same principles. Keep it up, I really enjoy your content and appreciate your wisdom ☺️

This is a great video Gardener Ben! I just spent Easter weekend mulching! Last year we had Black spot and most rose experts say to strip the leaves off and spray. My first time growing DA roses are on a 7 feet tall gazebo, can you just imagine having to de-foliate the climbing roses? It was just a full year after I planted them but the growth was amazing. I mulched after planting but did not last year, true enough the Black spot came. I did see bird looking around in the new growth on the roses, I will leave the aphids alone and see what the birds do.

Do you have Japanese beetle problems in the UK? In the US after the 4th of July, these are such a terrible scourge....they absolutely skeletonize rose leaves and do not seem to be eaten by predators. Thank you for sharing your gardening wisdom.

They are not hugely widespread here in the UK, although I have had issues with them in a former property. Luckily managed to leave them completely behind when we moved. They are very difficult to deal with please join me live at 9 pm on Instagram live if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your great video Ben! Last year i got thrips problem and ended up spraying them but i’ve decided to let everything live in harmony this year. I want an organic garden and im too tired with these constant fights. I also got voles damaged all my roses and my entire garden over the winter. So now aphids and thrips are not a big issue to me anymore 😄

Let the birds and good bugs take care of the bad stuff. Nature knows best!💐😁

Words of wisdom!!! Thank you so much for broadcasting this important information. My garden has been cleaned up over the last month by the hover flies and ladybirds. My roses were covered in aphids and now they are gone. The beneficals are now working on my dayliy aphids. Looking like a battlefield at the moment but the ladybirds are winning!

Ben, do you know when can we expect new rose varieties from DA? They announced 2 in 2023, but I am SOOOOO impatient. :D

Another question is - I have one rose that is struggling with aphid attack. all the other ones are dealing with them very well, but one looks like it is about to die as all new growth is bombarded. Shall I separate it somehow? I do have lots of lady birds, but it still looks dying and want to save it.
