I feel like the music should become more upbeat and/or intense at points, or switch moods depending on rooms. There's potential to flesh out what was done in the original
I disagree. His voice in original was better because he was shown as corrupted, but cheerfull and smug executive that is willing to keep his promise. In remake he is obviously evil.
@@MrJedroi258 Yes, in original he sounds like manager that fucked up, in remake he sounds like "I'll kill your puppy because I'm bad, muhahaha. Disney hire me! "
Oh, good, I'm not the only one solving those junction puzzles by randomly flipping switches and plugging in stuff wherever. I get that it's meant to invoke the 90s "figure it out yourself" attitude, but a little guide for that puzzle would be nice.
Yeah I realized about the solution right where I put the video back to normal speed. Maybe it would help if the blue marking's lights were blinking or something.
You know what'd be a neat feature but I have no intentions of seeing? What if the mutants could take weapons or gear you discard, and depending on what they had before being transformed may have a spare magazine and can reload a handgun you dropped to then use when looking for you
One thing I liked about system shock 2 was that it wasn't a dark environment. For me this is too dark and confusing. Too much going on in modern games.
I think the purpose was to remove the scientific ethical constraints, which would increase the efficiency of developing new biotechnology. In short, money
Wtf is the 'goal' with the puzzle at 36:12? Makes 0 sense to me. It would imply you should fill up the bar at the bottom, but as you know that does nothing at all.
The goal is to adjust the power such that the final amount is between the two blue tickmarks at the bottom. As demonstrated in the video, once the power bar was below the right blue tick, the wiring puzzle closed successfully.
It was for a while after the director said to swap to unreal after the first demo. It led to assets lost, money wasted, and some team lost. It was resumed though, with a new demo in Unreal they've updated, and it may eventually be released.
I think it’d be more accurate to say that Bioshock feels like this, even though this remake is coming much later. The System Shock Universe was a direct influence on Bioshock.
well yeah but it has much bigger and more complex maze like levels and its pretty hard you can die very easily, also unlike bioshock it doesnt tell you where to go and what to do, at some point you find a password and if you input it in the area you suppose to use it, you activate the laser cannons and they blow up earth, you must first do something else to prevent that from happening. The game does not hold your hand at all. Also, there is a metroidvania element there are some jump pads that require the jet bets and the reactor has heavy radiation so you need a suit, you go back and fourth the levels alot to accomplish stuff. This is something you do in dead space as originally dead space was meant to be system shock 3 but then they saw resident evil 4 and changed it. This isnt an action game, resources and ammo is rare and its best not to walk in a room with enemies but take them out one by one and avoid cameras. So id compare it with prey 2017.

The atmosphere and environment does, as well as some of the storytelling that the original had, like the audio logs
