You're entitled to your opinion, but their iconic blue & orange are J U S T that. Blue & orange are classic, complementary colours...great design & logo, end of story. Though, I agree with you on your B E S T assessment; McDavid's WHA inspired, rookie year design, (numbers on the shoulder), is their best & those brighter orange/Adidas ones don't compare. Their current 3rds, with the 2 tone, dark blue & loud orange, lack contrast & require some white...absolute turds 👎
The traditional Oilers blue and orange is the best. The worst is their black jersey with the lug nut. The orange jersey isn’t very good either. They have it right the way it is now for the 2022 / 2023 season. Do what you want with the third jersey.
I do think the current Adidas version is the best version of the main blue, orange secondary jerseys. And I think the home jersey they had before, since 2018, was also bad, so it's good they made that change. But I loved that original McDavid jersey - it just looked really nice in Reebok.
I definitely think the RBK era are the worst because they are plain and boring and Look like practice jerseys . The jerseys from the late 90s and early 2000s are under rated for sure

It's N O T black, but rather a dark navy colour.
