The key would be to make it easier to recruit people with “trendy” diagnoses
Adhd,asthma those are the ones I see the most. But it also varies state to state. There are states that have larger applicant pool like New York City or Los Angeles California where Genesis wont be a direct hit to there recruitment and there are states and smaller cities with smaller applicants where Genesis is hitting them really hard mostly rural areas from what I am hearing.

I have adhd and my medication helps me immensely if they didn’t care that I’ve been taking it and I were allowed to take it just when I’m on the job I’d prob consider joining
MHS Genesis Is absolutely a sick persons worse nightmare … its not user friendly and the creators made it more complicated then it needs to be ….Not only is logging in a hacker’s nightmare its a nightmare to the legitimate user and just creating a password your required to have stamina and have the patience of a daycare worker with 25 2 years olds screaming and to add to the nightmare your required to answer your phone over and over for a “Second Verification code” because well they codes timer runs out faster then my fat digits can type. The Military needs to start practicing the KISS principal…. Im personally done Im just going to start calling the appointment line to do all my healthcare business … I feel sorry for the call center people….Crazy

As you know by now, your recruiter lied to you. They were using Genesis in Dec and are currently using it. Its been a nightmare for every recruit.
@@AKFF320 Genesis sucks for all and it has gotten worse but there are things you can do to help your situation for the eligible who require a waiver. And these tips are great with or without Genesis…

Does genesis screen every recruit at meps? I heard they only search your medical record if you disclose something at meps or they find something during your physical

Thank you for all the helpful MEPS information. Can you please elaborate and what the 'final inspect' entails when speaking with the doctor about possible medical changes since the first initial full physical? I am curious if they pull/search in MHS Genesis for new medical records after the first visit or they just take your word and don't search MHS Genesis again. Would you have to get a waiver if anything changed?
If you require an inspect, then they’ll pull your Genesis Records because you still haven’t enlisted within 30 days of your last medical exam. My son is trying to enlist and with genesis, wouldn’t they get all the info the recruiters need? They want us to go find the info on something when he was five while living with the ex in another state. Maybe just wait and see if there is a draft with all the conflicts happening.

I’ve heard that genesis doesn’t check prior service medical records after they got out of the military. Is that correct? I know a marine who’s trying to join the army reserve but he was prescribed adderall and klonopin after the marines but he’s been off the meds for over a year now. Would he be ok to join? Should he even bring it up to his recruiter?

sorry if this is late to the game - how does Genesis hurt recruitment? It sounds like the whole recruitment process has wised up to the fact that things can be falsified or doctored which causes more problems in the long run. It is really Genesis's fault or is it simply closing up some of the loop holes?
It’s def adding more resistance to the the recruiting process but in the end I personally feel it only impacts 15% of applicants. The rest can get waivers etc… Fort me, Genesis isn’t a show stopper but again, I’m in NYC and out population is rather high.
The Military numbers are so down to where if we were to get in a major conflict the draft would most likely be implemented because of this program.
Has this affected active personal with fraudulent enlistments?
None that I’m aware of but I do anticipate people being denied for VA Disability Claims for pre-existing injury/health conditions that were not disclosed at time of enlistment. Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
In short: *YOU* want genesis for your benefits while the rest of us who want a fresh start in life can't. Even if we don't know or even have any current disqualifying traits.
You as in me??? lol… I’m not DOD or Department of Defense. MHS Genesis isn’t going anywhere and Genesis is actually a way for DOD to catch up to the civilian sector. We’re actually late coming to the electronic records keeping way of doing things.
If you have no disqualifying trains in accordance to MEPCOM procurement standards and policies, you’ve gotten nothing to be concerned with. I’m more convinced in the last 12mo that we have less of a Genesis problem and more of a MEPS issue… just my two cents…

So I went to the doctors for pills to fly for a vacation. Because I don’t like flying. Now I can’t join?
As long as you get a doctors note stating that prescription is for that reason and to take as needed when flying, I don’t think that’ll require a waiver. Unless MEPS deems this a psychology issue for your fear of flying… 🥶

I was told I had a thyroid disorder about 3 years ago I started working out and eating healthy they gave me medication for it I stopped taking it for about 2 years now and have no symptoms anymore if I don’t say anything would I be good ?
I say go get an updated evaluation/test done and obtain an all clear letter from that doctor/specialist…

Thyroid disease doesn’t go away.. Hashimoto’s disease has a period of problems and period of no problems and this can go on for many years

Disqualified. Besides being disqualified for being prescribed the MJ Card… the signs or symptoms your doctor factored you into diagnosing you and prescribing you the card well count against you. Have you fully recovered from that medical condition? Hope long and how long have you been stable enough to not need it?
