Refrigeration Ratchets are still used to this day a handy ratchet if you're an A/C guy .. Seem a few of the Refrigeration Ratchets over years some are really nice shiny chrome and some are just plain and basic looking .. As for the date just guessing the last 2 numbers on the Ratchet 78 so it could be 1978 ???? ... So in the next video go out to your A/C compressor and show us YT fans how the Ratchet works on an A/C system LOL .... Great Video take care enjoy your day
Patent applied for 1932, granted 1933. Patent picture shows the pawl clearly, rather unusual design the way it's positioned inside. You may have seen something like it before but I never have.
@@snapringchronicles3020 Yours must be a newer model because they definitely made that model without the switch, Alloy Artifacts has one. Unfortunately I have no idea how to age stuff that been around for years and gone thru changes. That's why I wish they would put the date of manufacturing on every tool. I just thought that design seemed interesting with that big round opening yet it just has that strangely mounted single pawl.
Love those specialty ratchets! 😃👍
Me too!👍

That drawing is bit different than this ratchet in that this one has a switch and the drawing has a ratchet going in a single direction.

Yeah I know what you mean about having a date on stuff. I also wish they all had dates on them👍
I have a older craftsman ratchet that is kinda hard to ratchet, can I add a few 3 in 1 drops in it?
You definitely can👍
