Great run and fantastic time. I both appreciate the telemetry stats and am very envious. My heart rate would definitely not go down at 7:30/mile 😄 maybe if it was 7:30/km... Im looking at doing some videos like this to document my upcoming half marathon training. Ive got a lot to learn though i think.
Thank you, it's taken some time to get anywhere back near this since 2020 to be honest. I've a couple of 10k's coming up but 5 is my focus at the moment in prep for my 200th parkrun in September. Putting it out there in youtube certainly makes you a little more focused i found. I'll be sure to watch out for your vids
That would be great, thank you! I only started running 2 years ago and I quickly signed up to 10k and started raising money for charity to really commit myself to sticking at it even when it got hard. I've done a couple of halfs with modest times and recently ran a 26:13 parkrun after a couple of months with injury earlier in the year and I'm now preparing for the Manchester half in October. I've just received a camera today so I'm going to try and quickly learn how to use it and then start documenting my training, hopefully starting in a week or 2. Fingers crossed.
So cool! and the video quality is awesome, what camera do you use to record? The image is super stable. How do you put the layout with the HR and the speed/distance? that's awesome!
Thanks pal. This one was recorded on an insta 360 ace pro. The overlay is added in post using Telemetry Overlay using my garmin fit file. Bit of a faff but keeps me out of mischief of a Saturday 🤪
Cheers pal, yes the times are coming down nicely now, even my Garmin has a little more faith in me at the moment haha. Yes the coastal ones do tend to suffer the most, and this one not being entirely flat like some prom ones and including grass will make for some varied times I imagine. It was worth the sunburn to get it done on a banging day :)
Cheers Craig. First of all can I say, huge congratulations on a cracking time. Very impressive. Awesome video. Withernsea looks absolutely stunning. Think you picked the perfect day to showcase it's beauty. I'm thinking it might look a bit different on a cold, wet winters day, especially on those grassy sections. My friend Anne did this one also. 🙂 Ps. We need to see more of Mandy's dynamic warm ups. Maybe she could set up a rival RUclips channel. 😁
Thank you Colin, glad you enjoyed it. Yes the coastal ones do suffer first when the weather turns which was another reason we wanted to get to this one on day one. The grass had just been cut and you could already feel it. We spoke about this yesterday and said it would be a bit of an issue depending on the day/conditions. There were quite a few folks turn up for it, for one guy it was his 400th location! We all felt a little upstaged at this point haha. I'm not sure the dynamic warmups are something she should be sharing anywhere let alone online hahaha tbf I have donated a camera to her which she's yet to switch on.
@@TheRunningWhale 400 locations is pretty crazy. Whatever we do, there’s always somebody doing more. Regarding Withernsea, I wonder if they can sort a winter course?
I reckon a sharp turn around a cone at the end instead of jumping on the grass would work, worked fine at the other end, though not sure that's gonna do anything to help with being blown out to sea 🤣🤣
Fantastic to be in the great outdoors. Plenty of fresh air.
100% and something special about sea air too 🥰🏃♂️

Good morning Craig (and Mandy😊). Nice location, lovely weather and a swift Parkrun. Well done Craig, sub-23💪🚀
Thanks Andy, yes we had the best morning it really was worth it and of course helped along by my times coming back down 🥰
That looks a great venue. Imagine it can be very windy on some days though 💨. Good run from you there too.
