It took a long time to heal (still unsure if I’m fully healed) but being alone for this long is crazy for me. But it’s been SO healing and incredible. I’ve focused on friends, travel and myself. I turned 30 last Oct. I think things worked out the way they were meant to because I needed to be heartbroken to make some life changes and I needed to spend some time alone. Because of my experience, I sincerely hope Shannon stays single for a while too. I think being a lesbian influencer will make it harder for her to stay single though! I never comment anywhere but needed to here. These episodes filled my heart. My first ex and I were best friends and so playful together and after she broke up with me we didn’t talk for 2.5 years. When we came back together as friends we knew we couldn’t loose each other again. Although we exchanged apologies and forgiveness we never had the bravery to have the conversation you just had. I am happily married with kids and she was at our wedding and was always my biggest supporter throughout my adult life. Love is love is love. She is no longer alive and I regret not having this kind of conversation and I will always be grateful that we remained best friends and showed each other love unconditionally. I told her why, because we are on fine terms so I said it’s not because I hate you (one of those breakups where neither person did anything wrong, it just wasn’t working anymore) it’s because I do not wanna see you if you get into another relationship! She will one day I know this but ignorance is bliss. Can’t be upset about something I don’t see. I never comment anywhere but needed to here. These episodes filled my heart. My first ex and I were best friends and so playful together and after she broke up with me we didn’t talk for 2.5 years. When we came back together as friends we knew we couldn’t loose each other again.
Although we exchanged apologies and forgiveness we never had the bravery to have the conversation you just had. I am happily married with kids and she was at our wedding and was always my biggest supporter throughout my adult life. Love is love is love. She is no longer alive and I regret not having this kind of conversation and I will always be grateful that we remained best friends and showed each other love unconditionally. I wish you both the best. Keep making art!
All the moments of synchronicity were so endearing. You can really tell how important they were to one another, and how much they've influenced each other.
