Beautiful views over the reservoir and the fabulous Mon Bridge, just two highlights of a great vlog, Richy. Re going back to the same places, I personally don't mind repeat visits - the atmosphere of Thailand always gets conveyed through the footage and the sounds and for 40 minutes I'm back there.
Just sat with my morning brew with the heating on bloody freezing. 32 degrees so jealous, what a lovely walk over the bridge and a lovely place. Beautiful views and good value accommodation and so much positivity from your followers 😊
Thanks June, it was so beautiful and relaxing there. I hope the weather picks up for you but winter is coming. I love reading the messages I am lucky to have so many amazing subscribers😊
Hi Richy i visited there in 2013 just after a massive build up of weeds during a huge flood broke some of the bridge, when we where there the locals had already built a bamboo bridge replacement alongside allowing access across to continue via a few bamboo stairs up and down. The crack of dawn watching flow of orange robed Monks walking across the bridge was a lovely sight, i enjoyed a relaxing stay there. Please do not give up on Burma i have been a few times, i went to Rangoon, i enjoyed it there then i moved on to Mandalay to photograph the Ubein Brisdge at sunset that was wicked, then i went to Nyanshawai where you stay next to Inli lake which is huge and very photogenic watching the one leg rowing fishermen, then onto Bagan the land of over ten thousand Temples, never had any problems whatsoever during my trips, cheers thanks, lovely vlog. Oh you must visit Shwedegon Pagoda in Yangon again at sunset you will never see anything like it, its massive and so beautiful.
Richy, maybe you have left already? There's a place along that river where you can pay to wash and clean the Elephants! The Mahouts provide brushes and brooms and you can climb on the Elephants as you wash them down! A great opportunity for photo's!
What a great video and a very scenic area, this is what i am always looking for "The away places", are there buses that go there, i won't have a bike etc.
Brought back some goodies memories for me there Richy, including the flies at the market! It’s the only place I’ve been in Thailand where one of the 2 7/11’s don’t sell alcohol.
How do you recover when you can't sit on your arse for two minutes. Lovely place, nice and quiet. Crazy prices at that wee market where you obviously loaded up with big bags of sweeties. Good stuff pal. Don't be explaining yourself to tools that's too lazy to look at your work.
Thanks Matthew, I’m always on the go mate. I’ve just being in the gym and sweating it out in the sauna. Yes it was amazing, I love the countryside and ha as you know my sweets.
Since you mentioned requests for different areas - you have certainly covered a lot and my own feeling is if you"re the traveller..you decide where to go you're steering the ship not we passengers....having said that one place that has crossed my mind is Chiang Rai...I'm not sure if it's there in one of the northern vlogs...?
@@darrylhalden1948 thanks Darryl, I am definitely heading up there mate but at the minute there are still huge floods. I did the Mae Hon Song Loop last year which was amazing but i really want to go up to Chiang Rai and the golden triangle.
What a beautiful and peaceful place, Richy! If I was still a drinker, I`d be booking my ticket. A man w/ $20 in his pocket could stay drunk a half a month there!😂
Hi Richy :) How are you? I ladt went to Thailand in 2001 and going back with my family ( 3 of us ) just for food and drink per day what do you think would be good? :)
Morning, Richy! Great thumbnail - I didn't even recognise it as yours and kept scrolling through for 3 days it seems 😳 Is this a new destination for the vlog? I don't remember this place. How cheap was that alcohol?! Do you reckon it's watered down? That whiskey for like 60bhat? I'm not a drinker either, but wow! You would just live there if you were a bit partial 🙃 Very quiet town, but the river and the mountains are just gorgeous. I think with all those flies, I would probably want to try and cook my own food from the grocery store produce. Would that be a bit safer?
Morning Greg and thanks mate, I went on a road trip from Kanchanaburi, it was such a beautiful place I loved it there. I’m not sure about the spirits I think they would probably double up as a weed killer ha, I wouldn’t go near it. Yes the flies, if possible I would definitely cook my own food. The Thais are used to it and have a much stronger immune system than us.
Much Love,Thanks! See that Dr.Pre-pro biotics,broThe refrigerated 200 billion gram kind.Stay a week or two. Travel.Repeat biotics..in a mo. or two..It couldnt hurt.😊
Hi mate I’m ok thanks, I have been travelling for 16 months and using my savings plus RUclips and viewers supporting me that watch my channel. I might do a vlog about this next week.
On’t bike lol I love the Lancashire accent coming out Ellis and I hope you are both back here soon it would be great to meet up. Mexico looks beautiful.
I remember the guest house near by the lakeside I stayed was only 600 baht. It was in between 2008-2009. I haven't seen any farang tourists then, all of them were Thai tourists.
I remember the photo I took of the border posts between the two country's; White letters on a red background, 1. Every foreigner. 2. Welcome to Myanmar. 3. No video cameras allowed.
Richie,richie,richie.....in traditional mon dress(as in traditional.male.mon attire) and not.literally.in a dress; Although.this is thailand,is up to you!
Hey Richie,I rode there years ago and when you get closer to three pagodas( that road after the right turn off the 323 is motorcycle bliss),had army checkpoints at a lot of the crossroads; I'm guessing not only to stop Burmese illegals but also Thai's and farangs buying above there quota.
It is mate, all of the roads have just being newly laid too. The checkpoints just waived me through but I imagine if you did get pulled you’d have a problem if packed up.
Wow,Kanchan town/river kwai area is very inexpensive.......sangklaburi is crazy cheap..... Any farang wanting to disappear themselves for a few months....shit. All those bloggers claiming you can't live in Thailand for £1,000 a month, huh?
Phom kii kiat.... Cant you get like a large monitor lizard or something to ride the bridge across? Definately dont pay him till he gets you to the other side 'but!
Just goes to underline, just how much governments make in tax on cigarettes and alcohol huh? Outwardly 'Yes,of course we are starting a new education plan on the dangers of these albeit legal drugs.' Inwardly, they are thinking....shit,we lose that revenue and we are knackered. Not for me,but the legalisation of weed in the u.k. could float the country again..and not only it's smokers!
Bang on, I see a few going just to cash in on YT vids while simultaneously pretending to care about the people there. Wish them all the best over there, their country looks bloody beautiful 🙏
Great vlog mate . Keep them coming . Happy travels
Thank you Wayne, I loved it there.

Never mind what others say just keep doing what your doing Richy
Thanks Michael, it’s funny some people assume I’m doing vlogs specifically for them. I just let the ridiculous comments go over my head.
Real content like this is hard to find

Thanks Glenn, I’m ok mate. There will be a vlog on today
Hi Richie, not seen any new vlogs recently. Hope all is well with you.

that has gotta be counterfeit market ?
I’m not sure Del, I’ve been told it’s just tax free.
Hi Richy :) How are you? I ladt went to Thailand in 2001 and going back with my family ( 3 of us ) just for food and drink per day what do you think would be good? :)
wish i had gone to 3 pagodas. was just too lazy.
There’s always a next time David, it was an amazing experience.

Can’t see there be any limits on cigarettes or booze if you’re not taking them out of the country
No I thought the same after seeing it Martin. If you crossed the border then you would have a problem.
7:23 If God is alive then His works must truly be..OUR OWN -JFK
Very wise words Robert
Sincerely, once you have discovered the simple beauty of a bum gun, there is no going back....
Haha to right Simon, when I went back home I was always reaching back and thinking this is crap.
I remember the guest house near by the lakeside I stayed was only 600 baht. It was in between 2008-2009. I haven't seen any farang tourists then, all of them were Thai tourists.
It is still very much the same mate I seen I think two western people.
50 baht for a bottle of whisky?? That's is why I couldn't live in Thailand 🥴
😅
🤣🤣I’m so glad I very rarely drink, although this is cheap I think it would make a good weed killer too👍🏻

Yes mate and your movements are heavily monitored at the minute.
Hey richie, why you think you cant get a fresh baguette with your masaman curry here in kanchan?
Someone is missing a trick.
Try the big C the baguette’s there are surprisingly good.
Haha just told you that twenty seconds before you told T.R.O.T.W.....
Haha👍🏻
Gonna show us the dark and seedy opium den of a room you are living in for three quid a night richie?😮
Haha class mate, it was ok to be honest. It’ll be on tomorrow’s vlog briefly👍🏻
