- Watch me take a dresser I found on the curb and do a full modern furniture makeover. In this trash to treasure video I found a dresser while out on a walk and then I went back to pick it up. Although it had a drawer missing, I saw the potential. I am glad I could save this piece from going to the landfill!

Charlie has the cutest face. Love how u transformed this piece. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, u proved that with this piece.
Does he ever!! and thanks, that is totally true!
That handle shot in the bucket was absolutely worth a subscribe!
The stain and paint design came out great!
Thanks dude!!
Very well done! The video, the restoration and the finish. Very impressive. Not many would want to put that much work into a piece. You made it look so easy. And your dog is adorable! 💖💖💖
I thought it was a cheap laminated piece at first. It looks stunning!
Thanks, if it was laminate it would probably stay on the curb for all the work I had to put into it! haha
I had a piece like that. It’s an oil based paint. I did multiple rounds of stripper and had to eventually start with a 40 grit and work my up to get it off. It took forever!
I dig your attention to detail, man! Your work is going from great to incredible.
thanks Freddie!!
Just gorgeous .what a beautiful design .
You are a. MASTER .
This is beautiful. I love that you have a different aesthetic than most of these channels. I'm not a "chalk paint and flower stencil" kinda person. And not that you asked, but brass hardware would take a piece like this upscale a few notches if you are reselling these. You would definitely get more for them with brass atm because of the trend even if it's not your taste specifically (coming from an interior design background, not a DIYer). Love the stain combo regardless. Well done.
thanks and thanks for the tips!!
It turned out so cool! I love the graphic shapes you used for the stain. The legs and new base are flawless. I love it! And your dog is totally adorable omg
Glad you liked it!! And Charlie says thanks 🐶
oh yay! best tools are a must. thanks for sharing your experiences, skill and tenacity!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Nice job. Love color combo. What a cute fur baby.
Great job! Charlie is adorable!
Very nice outcome.
Thank you Cassie!
Thumbs up for hitting the bin and for Charlie. So cute. Great transformation. Recently had the opportunity to pick up a piece with missing drawer and didn't know how to deal with it. Must see if it's still available. Thanks for this.
Glad you liked it, thanks!!
Mhm my wish came true, i finally got to see his face. He's so beautiful to me, also he has the kindest eyes
LOL thanks for watching!
The eyes are lovely and that voice is so sexy. I'm an Aussie so you sound wonderful nothing I'm used to hearing.
I'm brand new here and wasn't sure if you were talking about the guy or the dog. 🤣 Evidently you weren't talking about Charlie. Lol.
Flawless work! Absolutely stunning piece!
That layer is found on alot of older dressers it's a wood filler/ sealer compound. Scraper is how I usually deal with it as well
That makes sense, it would fill the grain so you couldn't see it once painted I am guessing?
Wow! Awesome job!
Wow... I love it
Awesome!
He's a stunner wow!
Charlie is isn't he!?
Oh goodness, I would die for Charlie! The flip is cool too, I guess 😂 great job!
LOL thank you!! :)
Very cool! Like the stain colour!
Good info. Thank you!
That came out beautifully!
Thanks Sue!
Awesomeness
Wasn't sure I was gonna like it, but it's very nice. Good job young man!
I hope you like the after a little bit more than the before lol thanks so much for watching!
Bravo!!!
Awesome job 👍
Unblevibale transformation , I love what you did with this piece! ♥️
Thanks glad you liked it!
Nice job and cute pup!!
Thanks Heidi!!
Awesome outcome andCharlie is adorable🦋
Thanks and I agree!!
Sweet!
Thanks!!
Very, very nice!! And SO creative!!
Thanks Darlene, glad you like it!!
Very cool, love how you did the stain design. I haven't used stripper, you make it look easy.
Doing the top and sides with the stain with the random shapes was unique. Leaving just the one drawer like that really looked kind of weird to me. Think going over all the drawers with that random shape on the sides would of looked so much better. And maybe using a darker stain too.
Pretty awesome transformation!🙌
Glad you liked it!
Wow! Fantastic transformation. Great job. your pup is so cute. 🥰
Thank you!! 😊
Really gorgeous! This was an awesome transformation! Well done once again. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
YESSSS BABY YESSSS. You did an awesome job..
Thanks :)
Excellent job!,
thanks angelica!
Looks great. I admire your patience lol
I needed patience on this project LOL thanks man
Wow you did an awesome job this looks beautiful I love the stain with a paint it really helped it to pop and those handles really look good with it thank you for sharing have a great day God bless
Thanks so much cathy!
Good job. I really like how you transformed the dresser into something beautiful.
Thank you!!
Wow! Very nice flip! Love the way you did it! TFS. Christine
Thank you so much!
Beautiful!! Hi Charlie!
Nice!!!
Love Charlie!!
Thanks Melissa! and he loves getting in front of the camera LOL
Hahaha
The coating almost looked like the two part epoxy paste they used to coat the dresser, possibly to prep for painting. The wood looks like poplar which is really not fun to stain. Your end result looks 100000x better than even what that dresser may have looked like brand new!
Thanks for the info and for the compliment!
I thought it might be shilach, but epoxy makes more sense
Great job! I don't think it's pine. Pine has a lot of knots in it. Not sure, could be maple?
Thanks, and hmm.. no idea!!
Stunning! Your vision for this piece was so artistic and you def nailed it. And it’s Charlie-approved!
Thanks Brenda!! and I love "Charlie-approved" 😂👍
Terrific find & great job. Love the finishes. And Charlie is a cutie🐶
Thanks Donna! and he is! 🐶
Mineral is the way to go
its great stuff I must say!
Very nice design...wow..hi Charlie😊
What u like about this channel is that there's no background music cluttering the video, it's so annoying on other flip videos. And the narration is really thoughtful and thorough which is super helpful. Those geometric panels left bare for wood stain were an inspired touch. Subbing for that. (hope you don't mind but wanted to say I don't think the feet match. They're sleek and modern and this piece could have done with something sturdier or rustic - the type of thing DIY wife puts on most of her pieces, or maybe even the hairpin style. But that's just my opinion)
Thanks for subbing! I also think the DIY wife base would be cool on this piece!
@@FurnitureFlippa my pleasure. Totally earned it
another stunner!!! WTG...Hi Charlie
Thanks and he says hi 🐶
WOW! You really salvaged that piece. I would love to see the former owner's face if they could see it now. I've watched many furniture makeover videos, but I've never seen one like that. Love the unique wood and black combo. 🖤🤎🖤
Thanks Violet I am glad you liked the makeover!! :)
Très chic 👍🏻😜
Thank you!!
So manly.......great work.😁😘
Thanks Monica :)
Probably a 2-stage paint…usually used for cars?? Used to get a “shine” and “gloss” on the finish..not sure what the wood is….but terrific job on this dresser
Hi Charlie
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thanks for watching! :)
NICELY DONE. BTW, is there a promo code on any of the products used like the screw driver. Thanks.
Links are in my description! Thanks for watching :)
That's why I always say that "That's why God gave me a truck". People always wonder why I'm always getting the free furniture, it's because I keep my truck empty ready for anything.
Always ready!! Thanks for watching!
I'm pretty sure that's white maple
thanks! I had no idea haha
Great job on the piece! But....I like Charlie better!!
Me too! Thanks for watching
you from canada dude? *accent*
lol little late but yes! From Newfoundland, this video was in Halifax, now living in Vancouver 👍
You do great work. I just have one constructive criticism - when you show the “after” picture in the beginning, I frequently don’t watch. Save the reveal until the end to keep us interested.
Thanks for the feedback! I noticed this and I plan to no longer show any finished product until the end. Your comment is very valuable, thank you!!
Would be great if u could paint underneath too. The spidernets attach themselves much easer to rough surfaces. Also, it would look nice even if it doesn't show.
Amazing peace of art otherwise.
Do u refresh the insides at all? With oils or poly, after sanding slightly.
Not sure if people care about it, but I would.
good idea I should paint it underneath! and I sometimes add wax in the drawers and on the slides
