My doctor prescribed metformin and I said “No way!” Watching my carb intake and exercising my A1c went from 10.9 to 5.9 in nine months. Regular fasting, portion control, and a serious reduction in processed garbage made a huge impact. Thank you Dr. Boz! Your videos have been a great source of information and inspiration in the battle to restore my health. Your dedication to making videos is making an impact. It certainly has in my life. Thank you.

Great video!! I reversed my type 2 diabetes when I went keto then carnivore 3 years ago!! I'm 72 and the doctor told me to stop my metformin and I asked if I was still diabetic because that's the first question I'm ask when I have surgery! He said No, you are no longer diabetic!! I love it when nurses ask me HOW did I do THAT!! I know if I go back to eating the sugar and carbs that it will come back!! I have also seen amazing health benefits like greatly reduced chronic pain, anxiety and depression are gone, fatty liver is gone, and I am now off 8 of my 11 long term prescriptions!! Thanks for sharing such life changing information!! God bless you!!

I said NO to Metformin too. In October 2022, I was diagnosed with diabetes having an A1C of 8.1. My doc prescribed Metformin. I don't take any medication without some research because I have suffered from IBS-D for over 30 years. What I found about Metformin was that I certainly did NOT want to take that under ANY circumstances. I immediately cut out ALL sugar and drastically cut my carbs. I was able to bring my A1C down to 5.4 in 3 months and have kept it there ever since. So it can be done and I see no reason whatsoever for me to take any meds and feed Big Food and Big Pharma's ripoff on America.

You make all the sense, doctor. I was diagnosed with Tyoe 2 in 2016 and put on Metformin. The doc said there was no way of reversing the condition--only to keep it in check. I bought s blood sugar meter to check m blood sugar levels. Now, 8 years later, I have no diabetes. Why? Because of not eating accessive sugar. For heaven's sake, you who read this--change your diet, and your diabetes will be reversed--at least in most cases. Just give it a shot if you want to live longer... Less carb, less sugar. See what results you get. Not only did I reverse my Type 2, I also feel 10 times better. Keto is great, but if you can't stick to it, eat veggies in moderation, but stay away from obvious sugar additives (common in our diet. Read the labels). You don't want to grow old and suffer from previous lousy life choices. And it's never too late to change habits. The body is brilliant in that way. It can heal from almost everything if we know how to change our destructive habits.

It was easy for myself to reverse mine. 6 months A1c down to 5.3 after one year A1c was down to 4.9 and I am now off metformin! Lost 100 pounds just by walking and cutting all the processed crap and only drink water and occasionally have a cup of coffee. My doctor still can't believe I did it. I told her what I eat and even her, my Dr. said I can't do that. I was like wow, okay. Kept my mouth shut and left shaking my head. I have no social life anyway so yes it's easy for myself. Younger people I feel sorry for. They don't even know what real food is because they were brought up this way. My grocery day is so simple now and fast. Also it's nice not having to take that afternoon nap anymore cause I have plenty of energy and stick to a schedule. Wake a sleep same time everyday. Life's good again. Sad that I thought life was good before even with all my aliments I previously had. My skin is back to normal also and I noticed more hair again now on my chest and legs. Middle isles of the stores is pure poison chemicals now days. Thank you,Dr Berry, Dr Shawn Baker, and Dennis from Beating diabetes channel. As Dennis put it, Mike the meter was the most helpful tool starting out! Also, moving about everyday. I never thought at 53 I'd have type 2 but I did, and now 54 and it's reversed into remission and not because of a pill but because I did the research and applied them with the help of God. If you want it bad enuff you'll do it. 🙏 to all who develop type 2 ty if you read my long post and sorry just the way I am.

Glory to GOD and a huge thank you to Dr.Boz! I have been doing this diet for twenty-two (22) days straight with only coffee and water.
I took two short breaks (beef broth with some white bread for dinner and after dinner snack), on two separate days which were over a week apart. I get annual physicals and opthalmic tests. I have no evidence of diabetic eye issues, renal complications, nor any other usual diabetic anomalies.

I know a person who started getting BS spikes who stopped carbs and only ate raw green leafy and beef, fish, chicken for a year and had BS gradually keep rising with drastic spikes after eating either, even raw spinach. She was 45, good health and not over weight. She is doing well now after starting some complex carbs again and cutting way way down on meat. What the heck.
I started getting high BS and peripheral Neuropathy. Ha1c of 6.2 and 125 AM fasting. I cut out the bottle of wine a day, cut out carbs, lost 40 lbs to 200 as im 6 ft. Added Berberine and Benfotiamin and BS has not dropped. Added Metformin 500 QD and still have high BS. WTH?

Answer was reduce Metformin from 2g/day to 1g/day and stay on Jardiance as it has many good side effects. I found using a CGM how to reduce average BS by dietary choices and adding exercise. Unfortunately, I don't think I can stop meds completely as I have already lost a lot of weight and can not efford to loose any more. I stopped Jardiance a few days before my Labs and saw my eGFR go up to 73 from 54. Reducing Diabetes is a complicated process while watching all the rest of the body.

Apparently this doctor on Facebook is promoting his own metformin and sells it on Amazon. I heard from a family member that a doctor gave metformin to her obese child at 10 and it caused her very bad stomach pain. My doctor has prescribed Ozempic and suggested gastric bypass but i have family history of Thyroid cancer in my family. So should I take metformin even if I'm not diabetic? I already have stomach issues with my thyroid meds

I dont understand how people can successfully do carnivore. I ate almoat 100g of protein a day and got gout... Plus my blood sugar went haywire.

If you got gout from 100g of protein a day then you have other issues. What else were you eating?

@@EastElbow You might have been borderline gout prior? Typically gout is not caused just by purines and high uric acid. It normally has an inflammatory component to it.
A common belief is that high oxalate loads in the body are involved for many people.
Fructose and alcohol are much more likely to lead to gout. Having 100g of protein (400g of beef?) is a good serving, about the maximum I would have, but not huge. This assumes that beef is 1/4 protein. If you were eating 100g of beef that might be only 25g protein.
Did you transition slowly, like over 6 weeks? Or next day decided to do carnivore? Sudden changes can cause problems.

Reversing diabetes isn't possible, you still have diabetes you just manage it with food, medication, weight loss and exercise, the diabetes is still there.
    I have 10 mg of Jardiance, 2x500mg metformin a day, I've lost 39 kg (20 left) and my HbA1c is 37 (5.5%)
I will need medication for the rest of my life and I will have to eat a lowcarb diet until I die, because reversing diabetes isn't posdible. I might be able to stop the negative effects of it, but it will always be there, no more hamburgers, no more pizza, no more bread.

I, respectively, have to disagree with you. I'm 72 and was type 2 diabetic and on metformin for years. After going keto then carnivore 3 years ago, my doctor took me off metformin and I asked him if I was still diabetic because I have a lot of spinal issues and have had 5 spinal fusions and when I go for surgery that is the first question I am asked. He told me NO, YOU ARE NO LONGER DIABETIC! But I realize that if I go back to eating sugar and carbs that it can return. I also love my Jesus Christ!! Hope that you know I respect your view, but maybe this will shed some light on the issue. God bless you!! I have also seen other AMAZING health benefits from going carnivore and I thank God for leading me to this way of eating!! ❤🙏🙏

From what you have shared I don’t see why you believe that you’re still a diabetic?
Do you still have glucose spikes after eating carbs?
I follow the carnivore lifestyle, almost 6 months now, previously I was following a keto diet. I was unable after about 5 years to significantly lower my A1c.
After a meal my glucose spikes to 108.
My A1c is 5.5, (I’m hoping it has lowered) and my waking fasted glucose is 90.
      Take care.

You're not actually reversing diabetes(type 2) but what you're doing is reversing the condition that is causing the diabetes. Insulin Resistance. You CAN indeed reverse IR.
