- Volkswagen announced the 2.4 update. I waited till dealers opened their appointments for update 2.4. I made an appointment for the 2.4 update and now i've VW Software 2.4 on my ID.4 1st Max. Woohoo! Process went 10 out of 10. Thank you Van Den Udenhout Den Bosch for the SMOOTH installation! and a bit to my car for not being a monday morning model giving errors left and right. So What we got? lets see!

The battery’s part number is 000 915 105 FA
And is a EFB+ 49AH/320A DIN, the old was a 51AH NASS technology battery.
FYI, the plastic flap on + terminal isn’t broken, it has been in the “open” position in 4+ hours, from having a 12V charger connected to the battery whilst under the update. So the plastic now has a new “ form memory “, and the tap that should hold on fast isn’t strong enough to overcome the “ form memory”.
I hope it makes sense.

And ye that plastic thingy has a nipple on the inside. Flap is just stronger this time around. And makes totally sense, its just it wasnt there on the previous longer update. Anyhow it works and im happy with it

my car was just updated to 0912 (2.4) thank you for this video... btw there is ongoin recall on some ID cars related to the corrosion of the HP battery connectors which need to be inspected and waxed
i get 2.4 today and the new 12 volt battery. now i get 3.0 i a few weeks, i am happy.

So SW version shows 2.3 but it is 2.4. Wow the logic at the VW team is tremendous..
Can also say: icas3 stays the same (2.3), but icas1 gets all the updates and so only rising the software version. 🤓
@@EV.Furkan They should maybe re-think how they work with sw against end consumers. No one have a clue about icas1 or 3 or should have to. Everything VW sw feels like some internal beta program still. Anyway ;-)
You and me, ID.Furkan, besides having almost the same car, do share also the same day to pass to the better life of 2.4 version… indeed, these are the times to ask you one important question… apart what VW says, is it possible to upgrade our 1st mover ID.4 to a full new ID.4? In other words, can we overwhelm the difficulties of missing sensors and weak hardware? Please, would you answer with the names and the locations of the missing sensors and with a try to compare the 1st mover car and the new car hardware… in other words, I would want more the one line answer…
Yes you can if you are handy, got the tools, have a MY22.5/23 on your lot and can swap the items from one car to another. Ultrasonic sensors, wires, bumpers, icas3, software for the individual modules and in the end it will be 1 big mismatched car hardware and software wise. And still it will be possible, but will it be worth the time and money. And as last maybe the important bit: OTA will be always mismatched because vin isnt matching hardware and so you will have failures or even bricked hardwares longterm (to be on the negative side), but dont need to install them
Thanks for your videos, I have version 2.3 and will get 2.4 in August. One thing I hope they will fix, is the area view picture of the car, when I reverse it will start with black square around the car, but then change to the full car picture after some seconds, do you have the same issue, or is it fixed with 2.4?
Its there, not fixed, first time starting the cameras tou will see it, but swapping front camera to back camera is quicker

I had mine updated last week and can honestly say Ive not seen any difference at all. Why can’t VW produce a sat nav that can find Uk addresses? I like my id4 but the software is so bad it should never have been released
I can FINALLY get 2.4 in October.... :/
LOT of false promises indeed... They promised first drivers would get the new functionality as newer models would get it. Doesn't happen! The new cars have extra sensors etcetera and we don't get the same functionality at all! (Fi. Swarm, Lane change).
They promised the 3.0 update mid 2022 and it would be OTA after the previous update in the workshop. Nope! I can now get the 2.4 update in October and it's not OTA! No clue when 3.0 will be there.... And the garage also has no clue. The functionality both in the car and the app are just sad...
Really, really disappointed in Volkswagen.

Mine has 2.6. And it now looks awesome with 3d buildings and so on 😁🤷🏼♂️
Tired of resetting my infotainment. Will wait for 3.0 again for that. Also amsterdam had already 3D buildings 😋

@FPK nope 22.6 is out here, my car gets bugged alot and need to factory reset to bring the navi update connection back till it gets bugged again
Anything on this update coming to Canada/North America? My ID.4 is still on 1 year old software
Herbert Diess said Summer in his AMA (USA region), expect in september the first smoke signals from VWoA about recall or ota. I can and perhaps will be wrong but that was said in february

@@EV.Furkan die van mij komt ook van Van Den Udenhout in Den Bosch, prima dealer. Ik heb hem op een zaterdag in kunnen plannen, had nog een waslijstje aan puntjes die ze meteen kunnen meepakken. Ruitenwissers, kraak in de achterbank, kraak ergens bij de achteras als je over een drempel rijdt, een reeks deukjes in het dak van b stijl naar b stijl, als je schuin over het dak kijkt ergens vanaf de eerste verdieping, nu het heet is trekt de kooi op de plekken waar het dak vast zit naar beneden. Eenmaal zien is niet meer ontzien. Schijfremmen kraken als je rustig aan remt naar een auto hold. En nog wat dingen.. ben benieuwd

I find it beyond frustrating and ridiculous European ID4's are now on their second Software update, and there is still dead silence from VW for US owners.
So VW experiments with european customers and US gets the real deal once all quirks are ironed out. ☺️
