I’ve actually been using Jhin support for a while, and I can confirm it’s ridiculously fun and surprising in damage. I usually run Imperial Mandate and lethality items like Seryldas and Umbral that provide a good amount of utility. It’s great for poke and control and can be very potent against a lot of play styles.
Yes! My favourite off meta pick being covered. Love to finally see this pick getting some attention. Here's the build I made last year for how I play him. For my build, I like to play Jhin as a damage dealing playmaker for my team. I go glacial augment (boots, biscuits and velocity) with transcendence/celerity and scorch as secondary runes. I go with mandate first for the mana regen, Ionian boots for cool down and Zeke's for additional ally damage, even without damage items, Jhin still does pretty good damage this way and can slow people with the W glacial proc. Late game I build crit with essence reveaver being a key components (for it's mana refund) then firecannon/mortal reminder and navori quickblades to finish. Main reason being for the cd is for the trap spamming, which not only grants vision but can even kill enemies if they are unlucky to step on one. And since they last 3 minutes you can spam them in jungle to always know where the enemy team is. You could go full crit like the build above with still building mandate to do good damage, or go lethality if you want glaive for vision denial. But the coverage from your traps alone can go along way if done right and in the right choke points. Also, at level 2, if you take E and go to the enemy's raptors/wolves, you can trap it to see if the enemy jungler is doing a full or quick clear. Giving info to your team what they might be planning. A very useful strat and great for early bush control Iane. By far his most underrated ability.
Old zeke's (gave crit to you and your carry) and frozen mallet (slowed by 20% on auto) bein removed were honestly huge nerfs for ashe and jhin support before they were even popular. I used to go that into tank items into cleaver vs. hard armor and then straighter ad/crit, nowadays mandate is the better choice... Which depending on our comp i can push into tank items or ad items. I feel like jhin support is either really good or really bad though, often lending to shorter, less potent games item-wise. Ive had a few long ones where ive gotten 40-50 assists and 10 kills, 500-600 ad and 4000-5000 health off scaling and cocksteel. As you said, your e is absolutely perfect for bush coverage, if your adc knows what theyre doin more than the enemy, youll pretty much always have better coverage than their lane.

He was always classified both as an ADC and a catcher by Riot's standards. It's funny it took this long for someone to actually try it seriously. ... That also explains why that game where I was playing Seraphine bot a confused Jhin ended up as my support, as he thought he was going to be the ADC. Needless to say, we hardstomped that game. And here I thought it was just a silly game I didn't really need to remember.
I’ve watched your videos for a while and This is the first time I’ve ever seen your face. I know you’ve probably shown it before in other vids but I’ve just never seen it. You look very different from what I thought you looked like but you look so kind
Oh, lmao, I knew this would come when I saw a teammate on my ranked games playing Jhin, saying "What? Haven't you seen Koreans right now? They're playing Jhin support". People were flaming him, but since I was his adc I was like "oh, sure. I play Seraphine adc, anyways", aaaaand we dominated land, finished at 20 mins
I actually played him with Absolute Focus and Scorch secondaries. It was months ago so I don’t remember if I had mana troubles or not… but if mana isn’t that big of an issue those runes should be better for lane dominance.
I pay zero attention to korean servers but im so damn glad my idea works for other people lmao. Its great if you need level 7 s's... Vision on a 20ish second cooldown, long range cc that goes perfectly with a kai-sa or a vex, ad that will scale either way. It used to be a lot better with old zekes (gave crit) and frozen mallet (autos slowed by 20% for a second), but it's amazing in cheese comps and range comps in the right matchups.
As someone who mained jhin for years. This is basically how you play jhin adc anyway. Just in low ELO people don't work around traps well and peel. The best part with two ADCs has always been you kill one, no problem the "support" will take over since you wasted 3-4 ults getting the "adc".
So im a fun mix of bad at league, very into jhin, and absolutely unhinged. i had a 100% wr on jhin support for a while last season or so until i ran into a swain blitzcrank bot lane. The thing is, i went glacial augment + imperial mandate to make him well and truly a catcher support. To be fair though, i think the only reason it went so well was because im pretty low level and dont play ranked, so nobody knew what to make of me, but im a jhin one trick so i have a disproportionate amount of knowledge about him than other people my level do.
I thought I was insane playing Jhin support, turns out I'm not alone xD. He is absolutely amazing with an ashe adc, her w slow guarantees the Jhin w hits. He's not as good with the adcs that don't have any cc though.
Been doing this in wild rift for a while. Gets flamed early on, but the domination in laning phase is so prevalent. Just needs more lethality item and/or other domination rune.
I hope this goes actual meta and not gets nerfed beyond all reason by Riot. We need more AD supports that can use umbral. Also hate how everyone calls it troll at lower elo and feeds cause it's so new.

But stormrazor+rapidfire is the 2 item spike which always works, because you do a strong auto from a long distance (+240 bonus magic damage from energized effect), and slow guarantees the W. So it's a great catch for the team. The range and AS coversion to MS helps with the kite. 3rd item gives you the damage needed to finish off targets.
I play some jhin support, and there is a way to play against tanky pick based supports (blitz, Leona, naut, etc). I take comet, as it gives you better harass, and start trap level 1. Two traps on your ally buff and one on their next camp (raptors or gromp) gives your jungler a fast start. From there, push for umbral glaive as usual, then go imperial mandate, followed by serylda’s grudge. This more utility focused build allows you to do some stupid stuff (don’t level q for example, instead putting most points in w) while giving a moderate damage output from a safe distance, and being loaded with cdr to help peel with trap-w.

First off- I love beryl, he's my favourite support. He plays heimer and I love that He plays 'wrong' and wins, completely baiting enemies and winning games alone. It's so so fun to watch. I only mention that he didn't play it first because I watch him so much. If anyone knows the facts then it is me, that's why I'm confident I think you are confused. Beryl picked heimer adc in 2021. Only brought out heimer supp in 2022, after the video(not because of the video, just after) Easy to check his opgg, check his first ever heimer game, check his pro history. But you would rather not and I understand - it's easier to be angry than be wrong Infact in the whole of 2021 - heimer support was picked one time in all pro leagues. It lost and it was not beryl! I never said I inspired him, just that all of us knew heimer support was really good before beryl did. Then he discovered it, likely without my video And no one gives him credit for invention, anyone who saya he invented it is naive. I don't even think he says that

A good support should have some cc. Death is the best cc. The number 4 is associated with death. 4 is the best cc. If you connect the letters J-H-I-N on a keyboard it makes the number 4. Jhin is the best cc. Jhin is the best support.
Can't wait to see all the support feeders this weekend using this :D
My friends been doing this for awhile, he goes ap and stacks as many traps as possible in a bush to one shot the poor fella who walks in there
the guy commenting about Jhin sp must be happy rn
Really interesting meta.
Thanks for the video!
Thank you
Riven, trynd support will always be the best, waiting for that kr challenger vid soon
so when a korean player does it they're "insane" and "really good" but when I DO IT i'm "trolling" and a "Ni-"
Wait this just literally looks like playing Jhin normally, but without farming.
I actually played Jhin support way before it was "invented"
So Perkz was revolutionizing the meta by using it on the first 2023 pro match
Yeah mikyx has been playing it in soloq too, unfortunately Perkz got to it first!
Here's an idea, league shouldn't nerf jihn, it's off meta enough for right now that anybody lower then platinum wouldn't have to worry about it.
I got Jihn to m7 with Nearly 200k played time last year as I can’t Cs very well but love the champ so just played him as a long distance gank set up with w and ulti getting them low for adc or jungle to finish I played lethality and glacial to set up the slow on w for my ulti to hit it’s really fun
We have Jhin ADC Jhin Top Jhin Jungle and Finally Jhin Support
The last piece have been found we can rest now
Exodia champ
@@HappyChimeNoises Truly the perfect champion
I want to see how Beryl plays into a hecarim JG because I can't imagine Jhin ever getting to play wehn enemy Pony has steelcaps + teammates with 3 brain cells
Im playing Jhinn Supp for a long time and it makes me happy seeing here, thought that it wasnt that popular
No you don't understand that one Korean guy invented it...
@@bryanjordan8876 Of course :D
the spirit of IKeepItTaco possesed the right korean
Now I can play Jhin in all 5 roles
Jhin is my main. Totally makes sence he can support. I have thought that for years. He also, Is very good early if you are good with him. Alot don't know how to use him pre 3 items. But Once you know the champ and your enemy you can destroy lay PLus if you have a support player who knows how to play with you. This dose not surprize me even a little bit that he can support well. But people only realize once pro's do it. haha. But great video thanks man!
officially jhin can be played in all roles with viability
when i played jhin supp they called me a troller, now i'm just a dumb kid copying koreans...
To all the wannabes that are watching this video YOU ARE NOT GRANDMASTER pick LEO or NAUT so we can actually have a chance in the game thanks
I don't think they should nerf jhin support, he's a much more interesting marksman support than senna imo. Still has his counters.
I think pros are too scared to learn it anyway due to community backlash, so I think it will not end up nerfed even if it could be possible
Ok thank god I wasn't crazy. I have seen quite a number of these and thought it was really good and hadn't been played more.
oh this is why my support locked in jhin and inted
Will you be doing a new tier list soon? All the item shifts must've switched everything around, and they're hella fun videos
Yeah should be
Ah Jhupport my beloved the cs taking machine.
I was doing jhin supp 1 year ago and I was getting flamed for it, despite succeeding every game with it.
you should make a new vid on kled mid bcs after ravenous hydra changes he is now rly good and goes wayyyy different build
Riot should definitely make more AD enchanters.
Jhin is not enchanter but still I really wish to see another ad crit enchanter other than Senna.
Since enchanters trade with base attack (I miss u old Yuumi) it can work.
IKeepitTaco has been playing Jhin support lately too :)
I'm so sorry for my future normal game teammates.
My future ranked game teammates as well, for that matter.
I wonder how good an AP Jhin support could be, focusing on traps and grenades mostly
Is this a sales commercial?

FIRST THEY MAKE ASHE A SUPPORT NOW THEY DOING MY MAN JHIN LIKE THIS
the fact that you still believe that beryl wasnt playing heimer supp before your video is insane
First off- I love beryl, he's my favourite support.
He plays heimer and I love that
He plays 'wrong' and wins, completely baiting enemies and winning games alone. It's so so fun to watch. I only mention that he didn't play it first because I watch him so much. If anyone knows the facts then it is me, that's why I'm confident
I think you are confused. Beryl picked heimer adc in 2021. Only brought out heimer supp in 2022, after the video(not because of the video, just after)
Easy to check his opgg, check his first ever heimer game, check his pro history. But you would rather not and I understand - it's easier to be angry than be wrong
Infact in the whole of 2021 - heimer support was picked one time in all pro leagues. It lost and it was not beryl!
I never said I inspired him, just that all of us knew heimer support was really good before beryl did.
Then he discovered it, likely without my video
And no one gives him credit for invention, anyone who saya he invented it is naive.
I don't even think he says that
I used to play xin zhao support whenever I got bored and due to his high aggression and dmg barely any adc can survive more than to hob combos
Hi HappyChimeNoises, can you tell me when is volibear support gonna be featured?
Just had Jhin suport in enemy team. Easiest botlane ive ever played ez
