I've just discovered your channel this week, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for you are everything I've ever looked for for creating fantasy worlds !
In the world I'm working on, magic is taught not in schools but rather monasteries. Magic is viewed as useful tool that is prone to being abused, so mages are taught humility, moderation and self-control before they are taught any actual magic. They're more like Bhuddist monks than wizards.
@@JustInTimeWorlds yes, something like that. My main inspiration is Ursula Leguin's Earthsea. While mages there are taught at a school, their education has religious undertones.
For the main world I'm working on, master/apprentice would be the best example of how it would be taught. Though its low and penetrating. A human carpenter may have a set of crystals in his workshop he charges when able to use to melt wood into the shapes he needs, and this would be taught to the apprentice, just as the use of animal glue is taught.
Oh, Jean M. Auel and William Sarabande's were the first books for me to come in contact with "other" books besides the normal typical girl teenager books about girl bands, horses and things like that! I have Jean M. Auel's complete series and I think I've got most of William Sarabande's series (Yes, I know er real name now :D ) This is such a nice memory! Thank you for another interesting video! Even though my MC's are adults in my series, schools, college/university/Master-Apprenticeship is also part of my world. It's quite an interesting topic to think about 😃

Thank you! And welcome to my little corner of RUclips.
@@JustInTimeWorlds Have you heard of Allomancy and Feruchemy from the Mistborn Trilogy?
@@Mark-in8ju yes? Why did you ask twice?

Nice. I'd group that under religious education.

I just found your channel completely by mistake. Your content is purely amazing. You earned a sub.
Thank you so much for the compliment and welcome to my little corner of RUclips :)
I adore your videos. And they always give me something new to consider and how to plug that into my world. Thank you so much ❤
You are very welcome!

Nice. Master-apprentice really works well when it's that kind of practical craft. It fits in well with our ideas of craftsmen apprentices.
Another great, informative video. I love that you do the research for us and explain it so easily.
You’re very welcome ☺️.

What I think would be very interesting magic Academy in a country that's having a civil war
That could certainly be a great source of conflict for a story.
Have you heard of Allomancy and Feruchemy from the Mistborn Trilogy?
Yes. I’ve read all of mistborn and a bunch of other Sanderson books

In a society where magic is opened in Praise I'm just imagine the academy it was lobbyist and politicians win them over
Am I first besides the RUclipsr?
You are! Congrats :D
