I always thought people who claimed to cry when listening to vocal performances where just being self-indulgent, until today. Stefanie had me in tears watching this video. My whole body was literally chilled. Her talent is as unfathomable.
A friend introduced me to this band.. I was mesmerized and the intense, raw emotions from the vocals. Smashed together by amazing drums and guitarwork. My wife and I were going to process of accepting that we aren't able to have children of our own, at that time I saw this.. Litterly cracked open my soul and made tears burst out of my eyes and core being. So intense.. such an emotional 'loaded' song! Beautifull.. Painfull, but o so beautifull.
I like that her voice is a little rough around the edges at times. It's very powerful and emotional. Makes me think a little bit of Oathbreaker's clean-sung material.

"Burst" is incredible, but there was no preparing for how much and how deeply this song cut through the bullshit and left me with chills. Fucking amazingly breathtaking and life-changing with every listen.
“Burst” was easily one of the best debuts I’ve heard in a LONG time. This single is really good and gives me confidence that they’ll deliver another masterpiece. Hopefully 2019 is the year the world wakes up to Brutus. Really hoping to catch them in the States too

The reason why this song works so unbelievably well is because you can both see and hear Stefanie's emotional attachment to the meaning.. it is clearly both painful and cathartic for her and thus, it's both harrowing and stunningly beautiful for the listener. The sheer power of her vocal delivery, along with its beauty and her ability to convey the feel of the song is the reason why I will come back again and again to this song. All the while, she is carrying the song in a rhythmic sense as well.. fucking remarkable. Heard this yesterday on a blog and was blown away. Had no idea the vocalist was also the drummer. Now I'm in even more awe as I only pulled the video up to share but became a bigger fan too. Gotta pull up a discography next!
