Southend Bush Camp | Beach camping with dogs & fires

Southend Bush Camp is an absolute gem tucked behind the sand dunes on South Australias Limestone Coast.
The sites are all very generous and we would have had no trouble fitting our big rig on to any of them. There are flushing toilets, a cold water shower and fires are allowed in designated firepits (byo firewood). And best of all it’s dog friendly.
There’s direct beach access and what a lovely beach it is. You can drive onto the beach just outside the parks entrance and drive the 16km to Beachport.
In the town you’ll find a dump point and a general store/petrol station/liquor store. There’s also a club that does meals on weekends but we didn’t try it.
We had planned to stay 2 nights and extended to 6 we loved it so much.
