We found paradise in South Australia! Over the next two episodes, we show you all the Yorke Peninsula has to offer. From cheap beach camps, turquoise waters and some of the best beaches we’ve seen…this place is pretty special.
In this episode we:
- Visit one of Australia’s best beaches: Flaherty’s Beach!
- Explore the Innes National Park
- Check in at the Point Turton caravan park and base ourselves there to see the area
- Catch plenty of fish with a little sacrifice to the ocean ;)
- See amazing sunrises and sunsets on the Yorke Peninsula
- Have an absolute blast snorkelling around the Point Turton jetty

Maslin Beach (near McLaren Vale) is fabulous!
We did pass by there! It was very average weather when we visited that part of the Fleurieu... Next time 😁
I claim Maslins beach to be South Australia’s No 1 beach. Spectacular cliffs and beach.

I went surfing at Daly Heads one Easter 40 years ago. The weather was nice and hot and the surf was huge.
We found it easier to let the rips drag us out to the big waves and then surf back in to shore.
I treasure that weekend because it was the biggest waves I have ever surfed and it was so remote.
That’s awesome Mike! In our next video we have some really great drone footage of Daly Head. It might bring back some fond memories.
It seems remote now, I couldn’t imagine 40 years ago.

Do you need a permit or pass to drive on Flahertys beach?
@@adambrzica7093 nah mate! No permit required. The sand was that hard we didn’t even need to let the tyres down.

many years ago after imbibing in a few schooners the mrs and i returned to her car, she was driving not I, a huntsman was on my headrest. I smacked it with my hand, and ended up with a handful of hairs that penetrated my hand and resulted in infected small pimples lol. Never again, mext time i will flick it out of the car lol.Love the vlogs york peninsular is a place the Mrs and I may visit in April/May this year.
Haha safe to say most Australians have had a car/huntsman experience! Maybe not an infection from their hairs though 😂

Wow guys, emus, roos, huntsman spider, beached baby whale, Steve the Ray, salmon, blue swimmer crab...epic episode! The exact same thing happened to Deryck with the huntsman but he was driving and we were on a highway! Keep it coming. Ps, think I recognised one of Derycks lures in that haul! 🤣

@@our.australia.trip. yeah we actually have land in Ceduna so done the Eyre a couple of times but not the Limestone Coast or the Yorke. We’re off to Beachport in 3 weeks time. 😀
We used to drive 2hr on hot days to swim here.. Amazing beach and hardly anyone there..

We have seen a ton and in our experience keep their distance. I have tried to get close on a few occasions but they have not wanted a bar of it and run away!
Yep, it is just a reality sometimes. Although getting a few bad weather days is better than the alternative!

Flaherty's Beach in Hardwicke Bay probably the best beach in SA certainly the top 10 on Australia. Had a holiday home there for 19 years had to sell it 2 years ago sadly just too expensive to have 2 homes. All our bullmastiffs loved it on the beach all year round. We still go back for a day out. pretty sure you were speeding there is a speed limit on the beach to keep it in great condition No Hoons thanks.

Did you check out Dolphin beach and Shell Beach rock pool. Dolphin Beach on a summers day is my SA favourite beach
We certainly did! Stay tuned for the next episode. Hayley's favourite beach in SA so far was Dolphin Beach. I loved both too, especially the eastern end of Shell, just magic 🤩
Best beach is South Australia would easily be Port Mcdonnell & Carpenter Rocks outside of Mount Gambier.

do some people get cheeky and park on flaherty beach overnight and chuck out a swag?
Maybe, it was quiet when we went but the council had repaired and blocked off holes in the dunes where people made their own campsites. Unfortunately that sort of stuff gets beaches closed down 👎🏼
