  • Glad to be back, friends
    This video was destined for another outlet, but they opted not to run it. So, instead, I decided to put the edit together and post it here for you all to enjoy! Hopefully, if you're in the market for an RC-F, you pull the trigger. It is awesome.

    It MUST be in sport+ mode and manual mode if you want the shifts lightning fast.

      Exactly. Also, high rpms is where the best shifts happen.

    I've got a 2020 and have owned it for 2 years. Cannot be happier with it despite the little imperfections. The overall experience is amazing. BTW - I get 27MPG on road trips in Eco mode. The reason for the blue stitching is that its an "F" thing (like the engine intake)

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE TOUCH PAD ON MY RCF !!!!! Prior to buying mine, every reviewer bitched and moaned about the TouchPad and lack of touchscreen. Well you can keep your fingerprint magnet, extended reach, touchscreen. I'll take the TouchPad all day, everyday. It took about a week to get used to it, and I had to change a few things in the settings including slowing the mouse speed but once these were done, using it became 2nd nature and my hand and fingers fall perfectly at the pad. These reviewers never gave the TouchPad a chance. They get the car for a few hours, maybe a couple of days, and they don't take the time to change the settings, find out what will work better for them, and instead they bitch, bitch, bitch. Well I'm here to tell you it's bullshit. If you prefer a fingerprint magnet, constantly having to lean forward to reach the screen and make even the most minut changes, go for it. I'll buy a pre 2023 RCF when I choose to buy a newer one.

      I had it for a week lol. It's outdated and wasn't even good when it was new. No need to get so offended about one admittedly minor annoyance in a video overall outlining how great the car is.

      @@BradenCarlsonAutos, well you prefer a fingerprint magnet, uncomfortably reaching forward, for a touchscreen. I do not. I was not talking about anything other than the track pad. If you're talking about the actual display, I could agree. Not having Apple or Android for the early year's is ridiculous.

    Decent review. I'm a bit torn on the RC F, Lexus IS 500 which I have have same Trans and Engine but the tuning is different and chassis on RC F is very solid when I test drove, I'm sure how solid it will be at 120mph+ speeds and on tracks. The downsides are no TVD option anymore, no engine bracing since 2023 and no more memory seat also a downgrade for ML Audio in the IS vs RC F plus no 360 view, I know these are not big issues but this is a 80K car, the 70K RC F does not exist, as Lexus only builds these same for the IS 500 F Sport it does not exist only the Premium exists. And for that money a customer should get the premium features in 2024. Oh also IS 500 bumper sag just ruined the car for me, there's a fix by community member but the bumper tabs get broken regardless and the chassis vibrates on road bumps and etc the chassis is really not built for the 2UR engine. Shame how Lexus keeps on removing features from RC F, 2025 is probably last model year for the RC F as LFR is coming.

    Good review. Have had mine since 2017. Mine is the carbon fiber package with the TVD (which is now discontinued). There have been C&D test where RCF did a 4.0 - 4.1 seconds in 2020 and 2021. So, it is still very fast considering the times, but yeah, some of the cars even run mid-3s these days. Anyway, not sure why the steering felt floaty. Could be the tires muting the steering, but my 2016 has a very heavy and direct steering with pretty much zero dead spot off-center. I also had the torque vectoring option as I said that is no longer offered. Cheers!

      @BradenCarlsonAutos  4 месяца назад +1

      I'm not sure floaty was the right word to use, looking back. It's quite responsive and nimble, especially for its overall size. What I was trying to convey is that it's not a super tight and tossable sports car experience like a 911 or anything.
      Common knowledge not to expect that, yes, but the publication I originally made this video for tended to cater to those "less enthusiastic" enthusiasts

    Nice review. I have a 2015 with the performance pack ,TVD and all the good stuff. I must say, the longer you have and drive this car, about 95 % of those interior cons don't even matter. Most of us purchased this car for the V8, the reliability and the fact that you don't see them too often. Ok, and it's fast.
    This is a GT car and not a sports car. If you know the difference then you can figure out what makes it different. I hear a lot of people say why would I get an RC F over the LC 500. Well the RC F was purpose built to run harder then the LC. Lexus has started adding the additional coolers to the LC that have always come on the RC F.
    And when it comes to driving my bright shiny Infrared RC F. It's not that I feel that I'm better than anyone. I'm just having more fun! This is an awesome ride! If you get to drive the car again. Read and follow the comment of miked9649,( shout out to you brother ) and you see you are now driving a different car!
