アイオワは他の船より近代の船なのでこの時代のランキングに入るのはおかしいですね
@@taba807 it is because the ship was launched in 1942 and had some service with it the Iowa is a ship that is over 70 years old but still looks new due to the refits
She's under the ocean mate
And Bismarck number 3, why is Bismarck always number three in these shitty tier list videos?
It should go
Richelieu
Bismarck
South Dakota
Littorio
Iowa
Yamato
The fact that Littorio is on this and HMS Warspite isn’t is a crime😂
i agree
Lol srsly?! The warspite was near 30 years older than the Littorio, and lighters by near 12k tons... Littorio packs more punch, thicker armour and modern controls. I could understand if you said the King George 5 but no way a queen Elisabeth class is better than the Littorio. 😅
Littorio was a great ship, she had amazing armour, guns and speed that could rival Iowa, and that was in a smaller and more economic hull, it is obvious she was on the list. Warspite is good but no where near any of the ships on the list appart from if she attacked Richelieu from the stern then anyone is the worlds best ship, there's nothing there😂.
@@renown16 don’t get me wrong that Littorio stats as a battleship were great and she was a great threat to the Royal Navy in the Mediterranean but (similar to Tirpitz) she never got to show her worth and was contained for most of the war. That’s why I’d not have her on the list. It’s like for aircraft carriers I’d put Enterprise as one of the top ships even though (compared to an Essex class) she can’t carry as many aircraft or, until the refit, didn’t have as modern equipment
@@thefightingspitfire but the list is bases on stats, if it wasn't why is Iowa there she did nearly nothing, or Richelieu, or even Yamato to an extent, if it was your type of list it would be all the pre war ships, as they did the most.
RIP HMS warspite. This boat survived half of WW1 And whole WW2 but right after the second war they immediately scraped that ship
Hms vanguard finished being built in 1946 and was scrap a wile later
I love the cruiser at the beginning❤
Top1 Yamato
Top2 Bismarck
Top3 Misuri
*Heavy cruiser has left the chat*
Nah but despite some of the inaccuracies it’s all good man keep making these please!! Just keep learning :)
i would have rated bismarck below littorio, littorios guns could have been sooo much better if their quality control was better. bismarcks issues were... 1st of all the sliding breach guns krupp insisted on keeping than the rotary screw breach basically all other nations where using on anything above 6 inch (127mm), secondly its electronics (radar primarily) broke from firing its main guns making her subsequent salvos needing optical range finding
Vanguard entered service 1946 a year after WW2 ended.
If only we builed the Alsace Battleship class
Yamato, mushashi, lowa, jersey, roodney, nagato, fuso, Montana, hood, king George in the world battleships
The Iowa part the picture wasn't Iowa that was missoiri.
It’s still the same Iowa class battle ship though
Missouri is an Iowa class.
They are Iowa class battleships
I wished battleships never became out of fashion they look sick
Nice to see the Iowa class up at the top. Tho I'm not sure why vanguard was in that list as it never saw ww2
Good work good job nice
I agree with number one because iowas fire control was so much better and it was far more accurate than the Yamato could ever be
The USS Wisconsin should at least be in the top 3 it destroyed a mountain of artillery
👇
NJ sunk part of an island, plus it was only 1 gun on the mountain
The missuir and wisconsin are the same class so tenatly it also number 1
Pretty sure the Wisconsin thing was during the Korean War
Bro, they're still in the Iowa Class
@@TheGreatRimuruTempest just because it was in the Iowa class doesn’t mean it was the same as its sister ships, and btw NONE of the ships made much action besides the Wisconsin during Vietnamese war
nice music you picked
I think USS Washington was the best. The crew was legendary
main reason washington was as good as it was, was because of admiral lee, lee was a former sniper, he knew very well how to calculate projectile ballistics
@@Deilwynna he was also good at using North Carolina as a meat shield this is just a joke btw I came up with it after seeing that the Washington always came back with barely any damage meanwhile the North Carolina just took damage left and right
@@Deilwynna more that Lee’s background made him the perfect candidate to learn and master the ships gunnery systems, being Olympic sniper didn’t actually help the ship he was on target bette
@@redbaronace19North Carolina wasn’t in that battle. The meat shield was South Dakota.
@@collinwood6573 Just think about the Japanse for a second though
and apologies for the mistake I was confusing it because the USS north Carolina was the most decorated battleship in the US during ww2
it had the most battle stars out of any other US battleship
but lets take a look at the Kongo class battlecruisers or Fuso class or ISE class its crazy but
the Kongo class of course was Built by the UK to be delivered to japan still had battlecrusier armor in ww2
also common problem of the Italian and japanse navy
Radar? whats that we will just use our rangefinders
and for Japan that would be the Pagoda Mast

Mushashi, Nagato, Tirpitz, Prinz Eugen, Roma, Scharnhorst and more
Eugen was a cruiser, Musashi and Tirpitz are sisterships of the ones in the video
And iowa. Is half of yamato
I agrea
There were only one other Japanese battleship like Yamato and there were four Iowa class battleships all with very competitive gun sizes while also being faster and have more sophisticated targeting systems
@@dfsovcbnsoencsnvwviwekcfnwe you mean musashi?
The Yamato should be first, in one vs one, he had the most fire power and the best armour... In frontal attack, the french advantage was to have her 8 main guns able to fire against mostly 6 for all the others...
Well, The Iowa class was modernized during its time in service, The Current Iowa is now far more powerful than Yamato
It's the Yamato at the first
Yamato is the strongest and and most effective battleship that ever existed if i remember right
Bad steel quality bad optics so no
@@BogWarThunder one of the least effective you meant, it only sank 1 enemy ship, the gambier bay(Escort Carrier).
@@Im-getting-shadowbanned that’s contributive, not effective. But the yamato was a crap design for its time. Would’ve done well in ww1 though
USS Iowa, ordered in 1939, commissioned in 1943, finally deactivated in 1990.
Finally someone who is smart enough to put Iowa on first. Sorry but Yamato has just big cannons and armor and that's it. Iowa has the technology and more accurate cannons sorry weebs
Also the Iowa is still at the top of the see instead of the bottom
IJN excellent optics means Iowa’s advantages only come into effect in poor weather, otherwise it could go either way
Also yamato’s steel was garbage, like all other japanese steel at the time
Uss rizzi and uss gyatt
Yamato was clearly stronger and overall better than Iowa, especially the guns on that behemoth were way more lethal when the target has been hit.
I agree with everything else on this list.
well, the point is, Yamato is Stronger only if you compared both superficially.
the armor not matter much, both can pen each other without problems, so the only notorius advantage of Yamato is gone.
in firepower yamato shell have 24kg tnt equivalent, Iowa shell have 18kg of tnt. but Iowa's targeting systems were far superior.
in RL Iowa have more chance of win that fight. but as always, luck plays a big role, one lucky shot can change everything, as happened with HMS Hood.
Iowa is overall better than yamato, the only yamato has better is size
When England in the backround u see Poland 💀
U wanna talk Powerful obviously its Yamato on the 1st Position ‘cause of her Large Gun, U wanna talk technology then its Iowa ‘cause of her Radar
Yamato cannon turn are take a long time

top 1 is so wrong
@andhika firmansyah read the title: it says "WW2" so Yamato was the most powerful battleship of WW2 by the fact that it had the biggest cannon
@@texaschi2920 yet yoi cant use those large guns if you cant see what to hit nor the planes that killed it
@@sturmtiger3802 read the title of the video man
@@texaschi2920 while it says strongest it is talking about effectiveness aswell while having a large gun is good not have good sights is bad and while it would win the size and armament Side in this situation it is just not feasible so i think the placement is good
@@sturmtiger3802 First the only power of the IOWA was it's radars it's fire control systems were bad asf and needed those radar to perform mediocre salvoes, in terms of raw power IOWA had etrrible shells that needed 406 caliber to be satisfying and the hull was poorly armored compared to it's rivals like bismarck or YAMATO whereas YAMATO had good fire control systems that proved their efficincy since WW1 it had great torp resistance and thick bridge (took almost no bombs damage or torpedoes damage) and it has a devastating calibeer completed by amazing shells that could travel fast and far so compared to YAMATO IOWA only had it's tech in that time and in other aspect it was shit. Also yamato was sabotaged by japans and not truly sunk by americans. And the fact that your saying that planes shot it down means that americans were affraid to send IOWA on YAMATO proving YAMATO better than IOWA during WW2
The Yamato was the right ship for the wrong war

Technically, The Iowa class Battleships are noe the world's most powerful battleship ever in existence.
The Bismarck was the best battleship of her time But the jamato and the Iowa served longer
Bismarck had inferior firepower to her counterparts such as KGV and Iowa despite much greater displacement, indicates inefficient design of the ship. Far from the best, its hype which continues to propagate this myth
Iowa is the best. Last time I checked, Bismarck and Yamato were at the bottom of the ocean
Bismarck was very flawed, her guns were worse then thos of lower calibres, had mediocre armour and speed. She was worse then all the ships on the list.
@@KillerT-Boneyo Bismarck was far better they had top tier crew advanced aiming the literally 1 shot the Hood then scars off a other battleship then got targeted and faced off multiple aircraft waves by 15 aircraft it was also hit with many torpedoes and was still going I can say the bismark was the best of her time the Germans were at their prime of tech and making deadly stuff

HMS Vanguard was commissioned in 1946.
the bismarck was the strongest ship.
