Randomly, out of no where, I just wanted to watch this trailer again. I've watched all the movies, several times. I've even read the books. And up until this day this still gives me chills. I miss when hunger games was more significant.

I'm 21 years old now. I have seen many movies from many different genres. All I can say is that being a 13/14 and seeing this movie in the CINEMA was one of the greatest cinematic moments in my life.

I remember watching this trailer for the first time last year and hyperventilating like crazy. This, is definitely the best trailer out of all of the movies. The background music and the placing of scenes from the movie were genius. I have goose bumps right now.

Here i am, 2023 and i’m still on youtube watching hunger games trailers. They don’t make films like this ones anymore

the same day as him died my best friends father...a great man who loved everyone and everyone loved him...he had cancer and fought for him and his family.he wasn't a junky died from overdose he was a hero and yet everyone knows Philip Seymour Hoffman's name and says how sad his death is when he did it to himself but noone cares about my friends father...that's the beauty of our world. people die around us every day and noone gives a shit .a famous person dies from overdose or in a car crush because he was running to fast with his luxury car everyone looses their minds...
People die everyday, and I'm sorry for your loss. Everyone has their own, but that doesn't mean someone can't just let a person who died, who also was an amazing and talented actor, rest in peace. That's it.

The scene where Katniss goes up in the lift and the screen gets bigger as she goes is one of the most epic scenes in any movie I've seen. Then you see her face physically change from "OMG what just happened!!" to "Time to kick some serious a**!!!"
I just rewatched this movie and it still conveyed as much dread as it did 10 years ago. It WILL be a classic one day. Mark my words
for anyone saying the movie is disappointing compared to the books, is being ridiculous. These movies are the best adaptations if books that i have ever seen, only leaving out a few details here and there.

They have timed the Ballad of songbirds and snakes movie release so perfectly to be the 10 year anniversary of Catching Fire. In my opinion, this film was the best one of the movie franchise by far and the prequel film has a tough task ahead of it to be able to match it.

I adore how Francis Lawrence gave Panem a more intimidating and menacing feel. The torches in the Capitol and giving the peacekeepers a stormtrooper look.
They should make a Hunger Games Videogame, they should have a story mode, multiplayer and survival mode, where in Catching Fire they have all the traps and animals and all the lighting, waves, the middle spinning, that would be awesome

Catching fire was by far the best movie in the entire series
Best fantasy movie that I watched this year. Catching Fire certainly outshone its prequel. This movie did the book justice in my eyes. The directors respect the book's content much better than certain other movies.

coming back to this since i've been bingewatching the hunger games movie to watch The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes tonight.
I still think they should have kept the 75th games being filled with former victors a secret until the actual movie. For the people who hadn't read the books - that would have been one helluva surprise.
Looking forward to the new movie, I doubt it'll top Catching Fire as it still remains my favorite book out of the 4, but I'm excited to see how Francis Lawrence brought Suzanne Collins' new book to life - he did an amazing job on the trilogy I have no doubts he did a great job on the Prequel.
Best movie out of the four, without a doubt. Lots of the dialogue was taken straight out of the book, I loved that. Also the pacing was perfect and it didn't feel rushed at all. Whenever I hear people say they didn't like the first movie (which I liked), I tell them to watch the second one because it's better and different from the first one, despite having the games in this one as well. Mockingjay part 1 is good, I feel it's a great setup movie for part 2 - which is a true disappointment. For me it's because I didn't enjoy the second half of the book at all and kind of hoped they'd change both the pacing and make the death scenes take up more room and not be so rushed. Hard to explain, but the characters that died, died so quickly, with the movie moving on into the next scene, that I didn't even stop to reflect upon them. I remember thinkin "was that it? Damn, they did it like the book." The one and ONLY book-to-movie-adaptation where I think they followed the book TOO well. That doesn't make sense, but when the book isn't that great to begin with, then maybe...

The Book.
My favorite moment is always the part when katniss transforms into a mockingjay on the stage. It’s such a powerful moment, to both people in book and outside of it.
