I just watched Dr. Giggles for the first time, since it is available on Shudder. I freaking loved it, it's not even the type of horror I gravitate to, but man this was a blast! Going to add it to my 31 days of Halloween watch rotation. Great vid!

In my opinion, forcing a franchise never seems to work unless it is based on a book. This is a fun and goofy movie. I just remember being impressed by the kill scenes and thinking, "yeah, this writer and director should be on the FBI serial watch list."

Yeah, and boy did we get a lot of those “forced” franchises in the early 90s. I get why many don’t like them, but I still love ‘em. :)

I've loved Dr. Giggles so much ever since picking up the rental in our local Swedish video rental store way back when. Larry Drake was awesome in it. I really wished it had spawned of a sequel or two but alas...

Agreed! A couple direct-to-video sequels would have been just what the Doctor ordered! 😁

Dr. Giggles was overshadowed by Candyman.
