Joe basically every nerd kid want to be when they grow up, to become bad ass looking guy, married to the hottest girl, and still nerding around doing what he loved with his famous friend....well done joe...well done
In all the comic universes
With all the cool nerdy friends(not everyone is in IT), in the decked out gaming room
He really is living the dream.
Yeah him and Henry Cavill are breaking nerd stereotypes and it's awesome.
@@Habitt5253 He's the only one who says that phrase and actually means it. :D
Everyone is out here like 'wow i can't believe he plays dnd' meanwhile i'm just thinking oh cool that guy from critical role is an actor
yooo dude same
How old are you? Lol hes been around awhile.
@@ccgod lol I've seen him in stuff before but my brain still associates him with critical role
@@fluffygreenball he'll always be the werewolf from true blood lol
Yea I didn’t know who he was until critical role. I know him as the guy that stole Vecnas hand
I want to see Sophia Vergara open the door to this crowd and yell, "Joe, the nerds are here!"
And interrupt the game by bringing in pizza rolls and tater tots
@@helygg8892 in another interview she said she brings them coffee and tea. And she puts the coffee in a thermos to keep it hot in case they don't drink it right away. That's love.
@@Elric54 hmm... you think Joe's brakes are good?
This nearly killed me lol. I heard it in her accent xD
@@helygg8892 She also brings them baby Jesuses
Conan is a bard. He stands in the back and yells at people. That's a bard.
College of Satire from Unearthed Arcana.
Definitely Vicious Mockery!
But his name is Conan! He has to be a barbarian!
@@krzysztofwrona2426 Bardbarbian then
No he's a Blade.
Turns out session 6 GoT plot was 100% composed from rolling d100s against a table of outcomes.
I'd love to watch Conan play D&D once. He'd hate it and would derail the whole thing, but it'd be hilarious.
he should play with Steven Colbert for the next red nose day. That would be hilarious IMO
@@ItalianoYMexicano Brennan Lee Mulligan would probably be the best DM for Conan, his ability to handle chaos is impressive lol
He would probably roll a nat 20 to seduce a mind flayer.
Joe out here cosplaying as Mordenkainen
Huh, well damn now I can't unseen that. I'd love to see Joe complain as Mordenkainen
Mordenkainen got jacked
when he was on Colbert, he invited him to come play... and steven was up for it.
still waiting
They already did, Stephen told the story in one of his interviews at his show but it was just a slip-in st, he didn't get into the details.
He did a whole session for Red Nose Day
He's a bard cause that's the only class that can literally insult people to death
Several ways you can get that cantrip :)
I cant wait for him to use vicoous mockery
@@ccgod only with variant rules
@@majorfallacy5926 I know of no games where they dont allow feats. And a pact of the tome warlock can get it without any extra rules
Wow, love hearing about amazing and fascinating people playing D&D.
Joe Manganiello looks like he's the american version of kratos
He had a blue mohawk a while ago and now he's bald. This dude just can pull anything off, it's amazing
He's got a a balanced sculptural face. A Monkees bowl cut might be hard though.
Everybody gets bald 1 month after the blue Mohawk 😂😂😂
That mohawk was badass
D&D brings people together, I'm not surprised at all that Joe said they look forward to playing every week - it's an escape, an adventure, that builds and cements friendships, maybe not for EVERYONE, but still, this is the magic of D&D/tabletop gaming in general. :)
It's funny how people are always surprised when they find out that these actors, i.e. people who play make belief for a living, are into D&D. I would imagine for a lot of them it's this roleplay that got them into acting in the first place.
Also why so many are sick pervs
@@samuelstalcup Who says so many are? what?
I used to run games at conventions. A lot of team sports jocks play D&D. D&D is also a team sport.
@@samuelstalcup wtf
@@samuelstalcup Oh dear, another one of these lost souls who bought into the whole 80's thing that D&D is degenerate and leads to satan worship and so on. I thought we left you back in the 90s.
Joe's appearance on Critical Role is legendary among the D&D crowd
"Christopher Sqwaken...." hahahaha
I love that he is talking about D&D, but he does this EVERYTIME.
"But"?
@@anythinginvolvingsharks good point attackshark. “I love that he is talking about D&D, he does this EVERYTIME” is a much better sentence. Also “every time” is two words lmao
With Joe Manganiello with D&D, and Henry Cavill painting miniatures, being a nerd is cool and justifiable! It's a good time to be a nerd.
Vince Vaughn must be hilarious to play D&D with
i genuinely hope he literally plays Vince Vaughan in their games
@@azem1199 Not the right use of the word literally but yes he actually does play with Vince Vaughan
@@buttermonkeyFTW no no, what he's saying is he hopes Vince Vaugh literally just plays himself of Vince Vaughn in their campaigns. Like everyone else is playing a different character and then Vince Vaughn is just there playing Vince Vaughn cause he's one of those actors who tends to kinda just play himself in a lot of movies
@@alexanderstringham9124 the reluctant paladin Vince 😂😂😂
That's a pretty spot on Walken impression.
Especially doing it in improv in the middle of a conversation.
For the love of god, I want them to stream just one of their sessions, like critical role do. That would be incredible 😮
Celebrity poker tables seem so uncool now compared to an all-star D&D table.
”I don’t want to fight you Flash”
I wouldn't wanna fight him neither!
Peter, I’m gonna need you to Role for initiative
Pretty sure I could listen to Joe talk about D&D every day.
It's always interesting to listen to people talk about their work when they enjoy it- but the pure joy when he talks about Dungeons and Dragon- when Colbert gets the chance to really nerd out, it's just a whole different kind of energy when it's something you're truly passionate about.
Joe Manganello is possibly one of my favorite if not my favorite celebrity. He seems like such a genuine guy
I’d be up for watching a stream of A-listers playing DnD. HBO could do high production mini-series’s to include on their HBO max lineup.
Do I have news for you about a show called Critical Role…
Conan should be a bard college of whispers or college of eloquence
Unearthed Arcana has a College of Satire.
College of Whispers describes what he wants almost to a T lol
Everybody needs to unwind somehow. Most people do drugs; these guys play D&D. Carry on, sir.
guarantee some of them do both.
and some people do both, possibly at the same time even
@@nicocortes5145 best way to play
@@colingriffin4486 "that's how it works."
¿Por qué no las dos?
Soon everyone's gonna know him as Deathstroke.
Probably not, since the DCEU seems to be slipping deeper into dogshit with each released movie. But yeah, hopefully they recast him for the inevitable reboots
No, he will always be Flash Thompson. He wouldnt want to fight himself either
Conan would be a lich.
I hope he returns as Flash Thompson for Spider-Man 3
Omfg yes
Joe kind of looks like Mordenkainen with the shaved head and goatee...
You're right!
Dude!!! You're so right lol can't stop seeing him as Mordenkainen
can't wait for the hit tv show series mordenkainen's muscle memories
So no-one gonna talk about that Deathstroke statue behind him... 😈☠️
Hell yeah! So ready for him to nail that role!
@@wileye.coyote8416 From Flash Thompson to Slade Wilson....
Conan just couldn't help himself when he brought up Sofia.
Conan still has his touch! Love it!
So the big bang theory was correct, there is an A list D&D game with Joe
Haha love Christopher squawkings
I love when people are surprised that so many actors enjoy D&D. That's literally what the game is. Lol. Creativity, acting, and skill/inventory management. I've seen more than my share of games that have gotten very emotional due to character development and relationships within the party.
It's like the ultimate hobby for actors, especially those who love improv.
My impossible dream D&D game would be the whole classic cast of Whose Line Is It Anyway.
The thing about weekly games, is it becomes a time out from the world. That for the next 4 to 6 hours, you get a time out, and all the problems of the real world gets put on hold for a short time. Incredibly liberating, and energizing.
They should video these celebrity games
Man Joe is living the life. Good to see a fellow Pittsburgher killing it. His Chris Walken is decent. A lot of people go over the top with it.
Anybody who's ever played knows that the caster is the FIRST person you want to take out when you run into an opposing group of Non Player Characters.
Love this, just started playing again after many years with life long friends that we played when younger. Sounds like many are these days.
He looks like Kratos
Imagine having Tom Morello playing a bard in your group
Big Show playing a goblin rogue.... now that's something I'd like to see
I could literally watch this all day.
That's a crazy good Christopher Walken impression.
Okay, where is the channel where these games are happening??!!
We need a segment with high Andy in the backalley of the theater
"I cast a threatening phone call spell" - Conan the glass canon
Joe and Jason Mamoa need a movie/TV show ASAP
Joe Manganiello is a badass. He deserves to have the hot wife he has.
Joe doing his very best Anton Szandor LaVey cosplay, and pulling it off magnificently.
I would love to see one of their D&D evenings!
I would love to see Joe and Co. play D&D. They really should stream some of their games for everyone to see what D&D is all about!
That squirrel voice reminds me of the greased up deaf guy from Family Guy
I would love to them do clueless gamer😂😂😂
Conan is definitely a bard. Cutting words would absolutelyy be his bread and butter.
How about Tashas Hideous laughter
Conan should make a special where he joins Joe's D&D group!
0:33 Joe manganiello look like Serj Tankian for a second
Please come back as Deathstroke for Batman 2!
I’m surprised Henry Cavill hasn’t made his way into this game yet
Probably a problem with location/logistics.
Or Vin Diesel. I know he had his own celebrity game going. Did a few youtube videos for it.
This should be a television show, the people need to witness the shenanigans!
His Walken impersonation has me dead.
That Deathstroke statue though 🤩
I would love to see that filmed 🤣🤣🤣
We got Joe manganiello on this show!! Yes!
Lets be honest Conan’s a bard, hes got the guitar in the background and hes full of charisma
I need to know what Big Show's character is. It's gotta be either something massive and beefy or the tiniest playable character possible, no in between. :)
So Joe Manganiello just rocketed to the top of my celebrity list.
I wanna see Conan and Big Show in the same room playing D&D
Can Hollywood please give Joe Manganiello some better roles? This guy is too good.
Andy bailing out to smoke a joint is a low key highlight of this video.
I want in on this D&D!
He guested on Brian Posehn's d&d podcast and it was fantastic
They should give him a show on Netflix playing DND that would be funny as hell watching all those celebrities
C'mon Hollywood, let's get this game on T.V.
there arent enough interviews with Joe about dungeons and dragons, bro should start a podcast. it would sell like hotcakes
Joe should get in touch with Arcadum, he is crushing it in DnD atm.
if you thought jesters use of "sending" was messed up, wait till you hear conans
Sir Crocodile and Conan! 🐊
Now there’s the Deathstroke.
That herbert impression though!!
speaking of "A lister", if my condition wouldn't of got in the way, I would of been SO FUDGING down with the idea of being one of the lucky chosen for his cool dnd fan group
He looks like real life Kratos.
To Conan’s people who read the comments, we need a remote of Conan playing a one-shot as a bard. Please. Please. Make this happen. Tell him he can bring his guitar and sing silly songs. He’ll love it.
I would watch a televised game!
Oh wow Joe and the gang should stream a game session sometime, I'd love to check it out.
Joe playing with his A-lister DnD buddies. Sofia comes in:
Sofia: "Aaaayee Joeee, did you want some driiinks im cooking some food up now."
Joe: "Not now honey. We're entering the battle against Elroth, the obsidian dragon! Can... Can you put something else on? You come in here... dressed like a hobo, you know this is my dungeon."
Sofia: "Okaayy Fiine fiine ill go. Make sure to clean up after yourselves okaay."
Joe: "Alright! alright. We will clean up... just... can you not bother us, please. I'm playing with my friends."
Sofia: "Okay just dont be too loud, Enjoy your game everybody"
Vin Diesel: "Thanks Mrs Vergara"
back around 81 when i was 9 i started playing D&D with my father and his friends, or i guess that is my father and a bunch of his friends were introduced to the game from our new room mate who was a college student at the time and i was allowed to play too. i dont know, something about when Conan just said "i am told you are a dungeon master" it made me start thinking about how sinister that may have sounded to someone that has no idea what that means. it made me start thinking about the satanic panic in the 80s over D^D and Heavy Metal music.
Come on Joe, of course Conan would be casting Vicious Mockery lol
Tasha’s hideous laughter
@@andrecanis4894 that was the next one on my Conan spell list :)
I love this so much. Joe is my hero.
Conan The Legend
So I'm going to do all I can to play 1 adventure in that group! Just 1! Conan make it happen!
Conan as a tiefling bard. Have him in just one session like they did with the guests on HarmonQuest. I'd watch it.
Why isn't there a type of show that celebrities get together and play D&D?, I'd definitely watch that...I know I can't be the only one, right?🤔😂
I can’t tell if you are joking, but in case that you aren’t, may I recommend the web series critical role. As that is exactly what happens in the show as all of the characters are made and voiced by awesome and hilarious actors.
Joe Manganiello as...ANTON LAVEY, LOL!!!
It always bugs me when interviewers go like: "Oh you have this amazing wife/husband, why are you spending your days doing [D&D]?!" (or whatever)
Like, wtf? Are they just supposed to sit next to their spouse, all day long, and not have hobby's? If you're in a commited relationship, you spend enough time together, that you can also spend time apart doing something for yourself.
I would love to play D&D with Joe.
