      It's the colonised mindset. China is the main force resisting Western imperialism and supremacism right now, but many Asians from weaker Asian countries, Asian communities in the west, and even China, still uphold it and worship white people(sometimes without knowing).
      White worshipping Asians cannot tolerate other Asians being as successful/more successful than white people, and they are also eager to be liked & approved by white people

We all can just be too sensitive to react to anything these days, but at the same time, we need to be alert and look out. It's sad that an asian will do this to another Asian, but that happens all the time with all races.

      No many Opium addicts in China repeated this same quote to express their frustrations with the Manchu leadership! They couldn’t overpower the West with it’s many weapons even though the Chinese outnumbered them 10000 to 1. But like the Africans, Mexicans, and other native populations around the planet, the white man had carbine repeater rifles by then and human numbers meant little against grapeshot, shotguns, and carbine rifles.
      The Japanese realized to late that the Americans weren’t like Czarist Russia, the Americans were the Italian, Swedish, German, or Irish mafia, more guns than people. American Indians had no chance without a steel industry to pump out guns and ammo, or universities to pump out lawyers.

    When someone talks about you, it's because you're IMPORTANT. When someone taunts you, it's because you're STRONG. When someone jealous of you, it's because you're WINNER. Asians, you have to see it from a different perspectives. When you're the top G, everyone wants to challenge you. When you're on top of the world, be strong, be kind, have empathy for the weak and feeble minds. If you're not on top of the world, continue to work on yourself. Create the best version of yourself. Ignore all the BS in the media, be a stoic. Get in good shape, work on your finance, establish good relationships with people around you.

      If I had a problem with a Chinese person, for me it would just be between him and me.
      And that was never the case. But propaganda, unfortunately, sells well to people. Media talk much if the day is long.
      I've been to China before and never ran into any problems. At most, I was mistaken for an American once, but when I said I was German, the key changed and generally sounded much nicer. Something like that can happen, something like that is deeply anchored in us as a human being. Put two people of the same origin next to each other and sort out the good from the bad - at least that's what we do.

    Never underestimate the degree of intraracial conflict. The West often conceptualizes East Asians as a monolith, but this is clearly not the case. Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans don't all get along as we've seen throughout history. My guess is that the spectator taunting "yellow banana" is non-Chinese. There must be some sort of ethnic superiority complex at play here.
    A great way to gauge someone's level of maturity is to see how they respond to moments of adversity. She certainly took the high road here instead of stooping to the same low.

    • @Drownedinblood
      @Drownedinblood 9 дней назад

      It's ironically partially because the west takes away individual Asian nations and ethnic groups individual identities. Each group ends up fighting hard to disassociate from the other and establish their own individual identity and define their merits on their terms. The reality end result is just infighting and getting manipulated by a group of people that long decided to group us together and hate us for a multitude of reasons they justify to themselves. Thus even in instances where cultures overlap and there should be a feeling of commonality and shared values, it devolves into anger and accusations of theft.

    This is a complicated issue and can't be explained by just "racism" through the North American lense. I remember vividly that back in the 2010s, westerners everywhere were praising China, with people like Justin Trudeau and Boris Johnson claiming to be "sinophile" and looking to follow China's lead. China was the rising star and their infrasture projects were seen as the gold standard compared to the rampant delays and inefficiencies in Western projects. Being Mainland Chinese was a source of pride for the overseas diaspora living in the west.
    Take a look at what has happened since then (witheld info that led to a global pandemic, wolf warrior diplomacy, crushing democracy in HK for the world to see, threatening WW3 over Taiwan) and it's not hard to understand why people feel this way about Mainland China in 2024.

I think one is Korean and the other is Lao. I'm half French/Asian and looking like a Mexican. They couldn't figure out where I'm from, so these women couldn't bully me like they bullied other Asian people. I feel bad about those older Asian people they yelled at like animals. YOU miss the point. Yellow banana is not directly racism towards Chinese, it basically means Asians who act white or who think they’re white and therefore behave as if they’re white. Like yellow outside, white inside. I don’t really know what that means or look like because l’m not Asian. But in general Asians tend to aspire to be white in some shape or form. Some blacks are referred as Oreo; black outside, white inside. For those blacks who perhaps like to align themselves with white.

    • @Maxkende
      @Maxkende 8 дней назад +1

      @@v.c.nguyen590One Asian calling another Asian banana is not exactly racism as David would like to frame it. Whiteness is the currency that many Asians aspire for, not all abut a significant majority and David should know that. I’m Indian and l work with many Asians in Seattle, most Asians women prefer white guys regardless of how old, or fat, or broke, etc. l’m friends with many smart successful Asian guys, but the women would rather be with a white guy. This is very common among Asians, it’s encouraged and celebrated. So to suggest that one asian calling another banana is somehow racism is ridiculous. There is real racism but this is not one of those instances. I don’t really care what other people do with their lives. I believe everyone should do whatever makes them happy, but let’s be real about it.
