I have found the Vater 2-sided red/black pad to be my second most responsive pad in my arsenal, 2nd only to my old style Vic Firth 2-sided gray/black pad that isn't made anymore for some reason. Vater makes great products. Thanks for sharing and keep on drumming!
Is this Vater pad much different from the Vic Firth (old style pad)? I have both the 12 inch and 6 inch double sided OLD style Vic Firth pads and I have wanted a Vater one for a while, but I'm not too sure about it. I like to collect pads so it's not really even out of necessity.
