Final days of Winter - NZ Fishing

Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. In this video I mashed up 2 trips I did both on the rocks and off the wharf. This was the final days of winter and I hope that with the return of spring, the bigger fish should return again. Well I hope at least. Kayak is still out of commission but I was glad to have the option to go landbased.

What you should try when fishing off the ward where you got the kingfish, is dropping a lovey down on a one hook ledger rig. As there could be John Dory there.

i had tried a few times but the small snappers just mauled the livebait. even livebait don't stand a chance against the undersized fish
