it really would be phenomenal they are the only studio that came near to a game like bioshock with the atmosphere and with their own gameplay style. hopefully we will get prey 2

"Immersive Sims" seems to get a bad rap to the general public at large... As they are this weird in-between of so many things.... Too Slow for shooter Fans Too much Quiet Exploration of environment for Story fans Too much Combat for Puzzle and Exploration fans Not enough Ammo and too much resource management for most gamers But are so deeply beloved by those who do like the genre
Absolutely enjoyed all the modern Arkane games. Hope they will still be given freedom to realize their own vision by Bethesda post Microsoft acquisition
I love this game. My only real issue with it is the sheer amount of backtracking in act 3. That really hurts replayability for me. Honestly, I'm more likely to replay the Mooncrash DLC since it has randomly generated elements.

No Prey 2 won't be as good because Raf and Gael won't be there to work on it. This a great game and can always imagine what else they would have made if people would have seen that this game was ahead of its time. So many times I hear people state when I first played Prey I did not get it and after when they do they are like Omg this game is awesome. Also it has always been framed as a reboot to the OG Prey and it's not Bethesda told arkane we have this IP name Prey. That alone made people think oh they are rebooting it. Not true they told Raf and Arkane you have to make a game using this name. Arkane said yes but we get to do what ever we want. Not trying to dismiss this video cuz it's good and I love that you made this. But the no clip doc on this explains it.
Prey is a very good game that would have received 1.5 point higher score if it had been named "Future Shock" to play on the System Shock ip. But as it stands, Dishonored has to be Arkane's best because it rebirthed the Choice based gameplay model for the modern age

Pretty sad what happened to Arkane. Absolutely loved Dishonored 1 + 2. Deathloop was already mediocre for me and Redfall looks awful and is already getting pretty low reviews by everyone.
Am I right thinking won't they upgrade the fps on ps5 to 60fps? They are only doing that on xbox because Microsoft now owns Bethesda? I tried on ps5 but it isn't very smooth
@@Crashed131963 luckily I got to play it on Xbox series x which has frame boost to 60fps. It's the best game I've played this year. It's a shame playing it on playstation is not very smooth. I own it on playstation but found the low frame rate too distracting personally
I respect your opinion but Dishonored 2 is not only Arkane's biggest achievement but it's also imo the best game of last gen console alongside God of War.
I don't know why Prey is given so much credit and why people think it's underrated. You spend the game shooting uninteresting tentacle ink creatures, it's not doing anything extraordinary especially with that dumb ending, and most crucially it does nothing to really elevate itself or the genre it ascribes to. A fine and dandy game will raise some people to say "remember this game and how it was good", but that's all I can sense from people who speak of Prey in glowing terms-that it was a solid game people forgot about. Well you guys got your wish it's being talked about more often now, even though there was a perfectly fine reason why it was heading towards the realm of the forgotten.

Such an overrated game. Given how strong the competition was back in 2017, I'm not surprised it was a huge flop and only embraced by the dorks who think every immersive sim is a masterpiece.
