I've been reselling for 2 1/2 years and do my research by watching reseller content every night because I love it! You guys are exciting me! You're bringing something new to the table and I'm here for it. Thank you so much for all your time and effort you're putting into churning out these videos all while running your own business. Oh yes. Having a good foundation is fundamental. I asked myself back in 2009 what I would love to do as job. Well I have always loved parting out cars. Well to do that I need a garage snd equipment as well as a location. So I drove OTR for 7 years basically living out of the truck and put a hefty down payment on a house in 2018. Now I was very picky. But its 30 minutes from 4 major cities in mid michigan with a 3/2 stall and ton of free space for inventory. Since 2018 up to this year I have been getting equipment around. I still need a few things but my fleet of things is ready. April was prepping everything, May has been setting up inventory as well as the tax/legal side of things. June is a month of making drafts to build up that bank and fine tune the process as well as finalize any legal/tax things and July 1st is my kickoff. Now auto parts are my passion. But other finds come along the way so I am always learning. You pandas will be a great resource as I build this dream into what I know it can be.
First off - what an AMAZING example of what someone can accomplish when putting their full mind and effort towards a goal! We greatly appreciate you sharing your story, it’s really inspirational and so awesome to read what your journey was like and we’re both super excited for you and your launch for July 1st!! Second, thank you so much for the kind words and comment! We appreciate that greatly, it really means a lot to us for you to take the time to watch and comment on our content :)
Thank you. I'm getting started as a reseller for fun, any denim sells really well for me (I'm in the UK). However, I don't understand why people would buy second-hand online, when there is Shein and other giant hyper fast fashion competitors selling the same items in all sizes, new and cheaper.
I am really enjoying your content. I have been wanting to start but feel a little overwhelmed with all the logistics. Do I need a business license, tax ID, business bank account, what do I do about taxes etc. I love what Sean said about the 50 things and knowing your why. I thought you gave some really great advice to just start and be consistent. Thank you for sharing it's been very inspiring and useful.
Hi there! Because we aren’t accounts, we can’t give specific tax advice, but if you do some research you’ll see it’s very simple to get started especially as a sole proprietor, which is how we started before we became an LLC/S Corp! And yes! The 50 stack is a great exercise - Sean uses those and similar ones often in REU and the members seem to really enjoy the mental health and personal development aspect too!
Thank you for sharing the knowledge!!! I’m a full time teacher, reselling as a side hustle. Hoping to get to y’all’s level someday, the goal is to retire from teaching and continue making money treasure hunting. 😊
That’s so awesome and thank you for being a teacher! Reselling is amazing and has truly given us so much opportunity - we’re really grateful to be able to share our experience with others :)
Never thought of searching solds near my location...now Ive got to figure out where they get all their stuff because it's way better than most of mine!
I found it interesting to filter down to what's selling in my area, but how does that play into what to pick up, because ebay is nationwide and worldwide. If someone out of your area buys it anyway isn't that the same?
Hi! Filtering to your area is a great way of seeing what others are able to source in your local area, and what kinds of brands and styles you can also expect to find :)
@@TrashPandasThrift Thanks! I thought must have misunderstood. Makes sense, and is exactly what I have been finding, except there was more from dept. stores like Belk, Dillards, and some Talbots, Express, etc. Most items had a low asp.
When I first started I would go to the Salvation army right by my house would go every Wednesday right when they opened it would be half off day... go through the whole store! I loved the dresses and the lingerie my favorite categories, would find so many gold label Victoria secrets and 100% silk items. !! I remeber one of the first times going I found 4 Lululemon jackets! Find all kinds of good stuff everytime I went, leather Frye jacket, Coat nwt coat, so many Wilsons leather coats it waa amazing. Just checking comps and just learning as I went learning all the good brands and most importantly the quality of the items.
This is such an awesome and important comment! That experience of actually doing the thing - sourcing and comping in this example - is so important for growth! Thank you for this comment and for watching our video, we’re really grateful for you :)
Haha I love this comment 😂 we’re definitely hoping our RUclips channel will end up being a sort of reseller training school - while also building a community of other resellers where we can also learn from and share ideas to grow together!
Hi! Haha I love this question. Raccoons are sometimes called “trash pandas” because of the colors and the way they look, and Sean and I thrift through bins, pallets and thrift stores to get our inventory so we came up with trash pandas thrift!
Hi! This is an interesting question for sure and hard to answer without a ton of information. Long story short, it’s going to very much so depend on what kind of items you’re looking for, what area you live in, how much your willing to pay for inventory, how many items are you willing to purchase on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis, etc. You can look on social media using hashtags as one way, and you can also look into local and non-local Facebook groups regarding wholesale. There are quite a few of them out there! You can also talk to people who may be buying from outlets or rag houses in your area about a potential partnership. So so many ways for sure but will vary greatly depending on many factors.
Hi! We’re currently at full capacity and are not accepting new clients for our wholesale business. Thank you so much for watching and commenting on our video!
Thank you for starting this Channel and thank you for all the information that you've shared on Instagram I learned about you from Cayle Elaine's Channel and I'm so glad I did!!
Hi there! As we’ve mentioned in previous videos, we stopped selling on most platforms in the middle of 2023 and currently sell mostly on Whatnot as a platform and we also wholesale all of the same items we used to list and sell on the platforms ourselves to other resellers and thrift stores across the country.
Hi! Thank you so much for your comment. Multi-six figure means multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars as opposed to 6 figure which would likely imply $100,000 - $200,000. Last year, as shown in a previous video showing our business tax returns, our business brought in $280,000+ - multi-six figure. :)

Thank you. I'm getting started as a reseller for fun, any denim sells really well for me (I'm in the UK). However, I don't understand why people would buy second-hand online, when there is Shein and other giant hyper fast fashion competitors selling the same items in all sizes, new and cheaper.
Best of luck on yalls youtube adventure 🍀
Thank you so much! We appreciate your comment and you watching :)
Great information and wonderful and inspiring content 😊
Thank you for your comment! We appreciate you watching our video and engaging with us here :)
Awesome and inspiring video! Thank you both ❤
Thank you so much for the kind comment! We appreciate you for watching :)
❤❤❤
Never thought of searching solds near my location...now Ive got to figure out where they get all their stuff because it's way better than most of mine!
Also, I've got to stop settling! The ASP is like 50+ on dresses sourced and sold around here
I’m so glad this was valuable for you! And haha yes it’s time to start sleuthing
Totally agree!! Better to take an offer than to list under market for sure
Thank you!! Great info !!
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! We appreciate you :)
Great tips
Glad you got value from this video!
Great advice!
Thank you so much!!
Love this video !
Thank you so much for your comment! We appreciate you watching and are glad you enjoyed :)
Do you only sell on What Not now? If you list on other platforms, can you provide the links (like ebay and Poshmark)?
Hi! We mostly sell on whatnot and wholesale to other resellers and thrift stores at this point in our business. :)
Can people receive “grants” to start a re selling business?
Hi! I’m not too sure about this - I would definitely do some research online if that’s something you’re interested in.
2 of my faves ❤
Aw thank you so much! We appreciate your comment and for being part of our youtube community so much :)
"Trash Panda Thrift Training School"
I 2nd that!!! Sign me up! I need to learn more on trends and keywords and I'm having such a hard time researching them. HELP!! 😅
Haha I love this comment 😂 we’re definitely hoping our RUclips channel will end up being a sort of reseller training school - while also building a community of other resellers where we can also learn from and share ideas to grow together!
How did you come up with your business name?
Hi! Haha I love this question. Raccoons are sometimes called “trash pandas” because of the colors and the way they look, and Sean and I thrift through bins, pallets and thrift stores to get our inventory so we came up with trash pandas thrift!
How do you find a whole sale reseller in your area?
Thank you for the suggestions!
Can I get the link to buy wholesale from you?
Hi! We’re currently at full capacity and are not accepting new clients for our wholesale business. Thank you so much for watching and commenting on our video!
Thank you.
You're welcome! And thank you for watching and commenting :)
Thank you for starting this Channel and thank you for all the information that you've shared on Instagram I learned about you from Cayle Elaine's Channel and I'm so glad I did!!
Thank you so much for commenting and watching! We appreciate the support so much and can’t wait to keep putting our more and more content :)
I post Mercari and eBay listings at the same time of day daily.
Consistency is key! Great comment and input for sure :)
@@TrashPandasThrift I also have several items in my listing draft bank. Will post at the start of holiday weekend!
😊
Hi Bethany and Sean, is there an email that I can use to reach out to you?
Hi Aleta! We can be reached at trashpandasthrift@gmail.com
@@TrashPandasThrift Appreciate it, thank you! I'll email you shortly
Why don't you guys provide your store names on eBay, Poshmark etc. I am sure many are curious that a 6 figure store looks like.
Hi there! As we’ve mentioned in previous videos, we stopped selling on most platforms in the middle of 2023 and currently sell mostly on Whatnot as a platform and we also wholesale all of the same items we used to list and sell on the platforms ourselves to other resellers and thrift stores across the country.
Jesus loves you
what the heck is "multi six figure"?
