In September our manufactured home community got bought out by RHP( Corporate Raiders) whose only intent is to squeeze every penny out of the lease tenants. They not only do this by raising the rent above what the state mandates by claiming major improvements, ( read putting up new sales signs everywhere) but also spring and fall home inspections. One of their pet money makers is 'Shutters are dull and need painting". You have thirty days to complete this or you are fined for every day thereafter. A old neighbor across the street, on his last legs and dollars could not do this. So me and another neighbor who is a Body and fender guy went over with some regular Armor All and power washed the shutters and rubbed on the ArmorAll and used our car polisher to burnish them. They turned out great and lasted a long time.
Nice hack, but i imagine that things would turn out the same way your tires do. They'll only stay nice and shiny for a couple weeks, or in this case months. After a few rain events didn't the shine just wash off again?
I washed mine first with Simple Green and they looked good. Then I used the Armour Foam letting it soak in for 15 minutes and wiping down with a soft clean cloth. Look like new💜💜💜💜💜💜
This doesn't make sense. I Armour All my dash and tires and within a few days the sun has them dried out again. Wouldn't that happen even faster on outdoor vinyl shutters? Also, if you are still going to do this, why not spray the rag and wipe it on the shutter rather than having to put blue painters tape all over?
Pressure washer mine and used clear polyurethane sealer about five years ago. Still shining after all these years👍👍
You're suggestions make better sense
Certain polyurethane can yellow when exposed to the sun for long periods and others do not. Which exact brand did you use?

Wash w/Soap, Dry, Clean with Armoral Tire Foam. That’s it. Don’t waste 7 mins.
Who wasted 7 min? Lol
Its weird your intro. You really look like a handy man.
This does not last for more than a day or so...tried it
Does not work looks good for5 minutes then the oxidation returns.
Remove the oxidation first and you won't have that problem.
Propane torch.
How do they look after a year?
Have held up nicely.
I tried it and itonly lasts a few days. The problem, I learned, is oxidation and not fading...so you have to treat that.
@@CottageontheCorner How do you treat it?
@@PurplePasion They sell products for it. You could do an amazon search because theyhave some there :)
