    Meet the Hyundai Kona Hybrid!
The Hyundai Kona went on sale in 2018 offering lots of choice for buyers with a range of petrol, diesel, hybrid and pure-electric powertrains.
Its bold styling, advanced connectivity and great fuel economy form part of an appealing family-friendly package that stands out in the increasingly competitive small SUV segment against rivals like the Kia Niro, Peugeot 2008, Citroen C3 Aircross and Renault Captur.
Ranking fourth in the 2022 Driver Power Survey, it’s clear Kona owners are happy with their choice of vehicle. But what makes it such a desirable option? And if you’re looking to save on fuel, why is this Kona Hybrid the variant you should consider?

The hybrid additional cost are far more than you'll ever pay for fuel

Sorry but this is a bad review.....
Nothing said about sports mode that corrects precision of the steering wheel, gaps between gears and make the 0-60 from 11,3 to 9.6(factory times are with std mode)
Nothing about the paddle shifters and their purpose.....
Nothing about the 8" screen that has wireless android auto.....
nothing about the multi link suspension on the rear wheels (that u cant find in any other model of this segment......) and is the reason of the firm feeling.

@@OsvUkVehicleSupply i;ve got one of these on long-term hire. could someone please enlighten me how/if i can turn the correction steering option OFF? i wasn't even aware there was a "sports mode" but i do notice an extremely annoying steering correction. i assume the "EV" and something that resembles a lane-assist green light on the dash is supposed to continually go on/off on/off on/off on/off? while i'm at it, is there any way of turning OFF the, i assume it's a lane adjust? beeps at me every 2 mins when (i think it's because) it feels i'm driving too close to the kerb? most annoying. so many annoying useless (in my opinion) "features" i could do without. drives smooth enough though. one last thing i'd say i find i dislike: the braking for me seems quite sharp, yet spongy at the same time. it's fierce but i've had times where i brake and it seems to travel some before stopping. i don't think there's an issue with wear or anything, seems like another "feature" to me. i've put it down to it being a hybrid and maybe the electric part of it at low speeds seems off-putting when braking exactly when you'd expect to, but it's almost like you have to adjust your braking acordingly. who knows.
      let's just say i wouldn't want/buy one.
if anyone can answer it would be most appreciated. driving (no pun intended) me nuts! thanks.

How annoying is that gearing down and the break regen? It sounds like it might annoy me eventually?

I really don’t find the performance suggested is poor. Had a lot of cars promising much but not actually delivering. In Sport mode particularly it is nice and nippy and in Normal pretty good. If I wanted a racer I would look elsewhere. But Hyundai are not offering that. Quite nice to have what might be described as a bit of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

In sport modes real life measurements from other testers revealed 10 s for 0-100 Km/h acceleration

Had to watch this again. So poor. Can’t really relate to it. As previous comments say so much left out. Why concentrate on rear seat space so much and boot size? With a car having this footprint it is never going to be huge. Marginal between similar models. Got kids and or driving people about get a bigger car. For me my MGB was great in my 20’s (happy memories). Would not fancy trying to get in and out of one now when I am in my late 70’s so the higher ride is good. Even though I am getting on a bit I do like a car with reasonable performance. For those who think you are passed it in your 70’s how many of you have passed an advanced driving course in recent times? I have.

Its trendy to call cars SUVs and crossovers. A lot of people in the UK are fashion victims and easily led by clever marketing if they think it makes them trendsetters. We have a problem in this country in that most people get a certain car because they worry what others think, so it has to represent a certain image. Sad as f..k really. I drive a cheap Dacia Sandero at the moment, doesnt bother me what anyone thinks but what does is matter what people drive ? I couldnt care less about anybody elses car, its theirs not mine. Attention seeking narcissists fill our roads these days.

Not really my cup of tea or coffee unfortunately. I'm disappointed or rather dissatisfied.
I'll stick to a normal variant or the N.
