Thanks for the video, I had no idea that was gonna be an issue. I picked up the same spoiler used a few months ago and haven't installed it yet. It's funny how youtube figured I needed to watch this.. I still can't figure out how thet know I bought one. Btw I also have a 94 Z and sun fade and I've been watching a ton of paint at home videos so it's something I'll be doing as well, looks like we're around the same stage on our project except mine has a bad opti at the moment but that's it. I'm in MD so I don't need to have cats to get through emissions. I also have a floor pan that I have to figure out how to repair because I'm guessing once in its life the t-top had a leak and puddled the passenger floor. Good luck and hold on to that beast.

Info no one asked for. The Abs becomes disabled from this for some reason as the EBCM somehow thinks your brake switch is open when there isnt a current draw from the lights. It sets DTC 95 and disables itself AND THEN it will set DTC 96 for the “open brake lamps”. 96 wont set unless 95 sets

As shown in the video, adding the resistance to the abs circuit turns off the abs codes. The problem is when the abs circuit doesn't see the draw from the incandescent bulb and the relay pulls enough to fix it. You could also do a resistor, but I'm not a fan of things that get hot

What relay did you buy again?

shbox.com/1/relay_for_ss_spoiler.jpg. or most likely you could run a resistor so it acts like a regular bulb is in it

@@67chevellepost Yeah I asked my Father who is a trained electrician and he said it's safer to use a relay instead of a resister. He said something like a resister can get really hot sometimes when it's time for them to fail from old age. A resistor is shielded from that heat, Usually...

@@67chevellepost that's what I'm worried about. I hear mixed reviews. Some fit great some don't. Z28 is kind of bland. SS looks better. Trying to get a ss spoiler and hood
