People would argue with me but i would take a cast iron briggs any day over a newer one with the cast iron Kohler
Not a big cam until it idles at 2K!!
Nice car buddy !
Would you consider selling?
I can't wait to hear that run
Check out the other videos
Do you still have this car?
Yes I drive it often!
So jealous. That was my first car. Bought it at 15 with my paper route money and spent a year building her w my dad. Just started looking for one to buy. If you ever decide to sell her please let me know. 🙏🏼😊
@@67chevellepost Dont suppose you are interested in selling her?
LOVE THAT IDLE!!!
What a beast!
What a gorgeous car, you always put together such nice stuff. Keep up the good work.
Lovely
Awesome job brother, looks great and sounds amazing! Can’t wait to see it at the cruise-in
Sweet 200x bike rips. What are the Cam specs ? Something better than off the shelf grinds ?
It has more duration than the off the shelf cams.
Don't do bedliner... It'll rust underneath and fall off. Oil based Rust-Oleum paint works the best ive found.
Beautiful car and it’s gonna be awesome once you get everything together. I have a Mulsanne blue 1971 SS 396 Camaro that also has a history from my childhood with my dad. Keep up the good work!
Great job my friend cant wait till u finish it & c test run....✌️
Great job my friend ur very talented...✌️
I’ve been waiting to see more. Nobody with a big block Chevy is running a single torq storm so it’s awesome to see!
Doing great, lots of progress there. Not sure what rocker arms you have but I have comp. roller tips which fit fine under stock valve covers, so have the chrome set which have additional bonus of oil drip rails on inside to keep rockers happy. You mentioned breather earlier, which reminded me I need to get that done for my 502! I have the full kit BBC Torqstorm setup to install (has all pulleys, A/C comp. Power steering, alternator, etc.) and FiTech 30012 boost TBI but going on Airgap dual plane. Also have to install Crane roller 288/296, 587/610 lift cam. So you could say I am SUPER INTERESTED in Butternut's progress!!! This is the only BBC Tstorm TBI as close to mine I know of so ANY updates are Very much appreciated! Sub'd so will be following...Thx
Understand with butternut I have full 3" to wrestle in too, just had the magnaflows hangin' pre axle meanwhile. With the 69 Camaro looks like the steering box will get cooked by the header, maybe sneak some thermowrap in between?
That Camaro is so awesome. And I love the color with stock wheels knowing what is under the hood.
Please post video of installed setup (literally NOTHING out there as close to what I could expect for mine) and drive with passenger view including dash as you nail it.
Sexy
New subscriber here. I watched a couple of your videos, and they were very helpful. The more often you post videos, the more your channel will grow. Looking forward to seeing what you're doing with the big block car!
Which one? I am currently putting big blocks in this car, a 69 camaro copo clone and a 70 el camino. And possibly the 65 belair will get a 65 dated 396
@@67chevellepost I was talking about the 69 Camaro (copo).
@jbplays7302 ok stay tuned I may do a video describing what I'm going to do to the 427. I'm waiting on the 396 and as soon as it's done I will get it machined. Then hopefully paint
Sounds good
Info no one asked for. The Abs becomes disabled from this for some reason as the EBCM somehow thinks your brake switch is open when there isnt a current draw from the lights. It sets DTC 95 and disables itself AND THEN it will set DTC 96 for the “open brake lamps”. 96 wont set unless 95 sets
As shown in the video, adding the resistance to the abs circuit turns off the abs codes. The problem is when the abs circuit doesn't see the draw from the incandescent bulb and the relay pulls enough to fix it. You could also do a resistor, but I'm not a fan of things that get hot
Looking great Shannon! 👍
I took apart my sons. Swing swing use the tubing it was a pain in the ass too
The butternut car is going to be insane, and I love it!
Good evening sir. Those leaf springs looks awfully close to the exhaust, they will hit the exhaust when driving for sure. Sweet looking car. There is a 1971 Camaro 396 SS in my garage waiting for the snow here in Sweden to F off.
How much for restoration ?
This is my own personal car
your box of rods are a miss matched set, truck rods and something else thrown in.
Mine def needs that new door roller thingy
Looking good so far.
How much did you pay for this spoiler?
This is the spoiler company so 350 at the time I got it
@@67chevellepost ok cool thanks. Are you happy with the fitment?
@brianfoster4493 it was ok It did need 1/4 of an inch on one side.
@@67chevellepost that's what I'm worried about. I hear mixed reviews. Some fit great some don't. Z28 is kind of bland. SS looks better. Trying to get a ss spoiler and hood
It’s not a death machine sure it can be to someone who doesn’t know how to ride them just like a dirtbike or quad
What relay ?? How do you hook it up , have the same problem
Nice car, I had the blue one with dual headrers on the 6 banger 3 on tree
Nice
Serial numbers don’t have significance as simplicity and allis tossed all the records. Closest way to tell is serial number on side of block
Hey 67chevellepost, wondering if I can pick your brain a little about set ups on these motors since you seem to have experience with a lot of the different cam setups and information on the top end oriented stuff is pretty scarce. Building an xr200 motor for street use in a Cb125 project, looking to gain some power and move the powerband up while sticking to pump 93. Pz30 carb, custom stainless exhaust, planning to port the head. 12:1 looks out the question, but taking some dome off of a wiseco 12:1 down to 11:1 seems feasible. Tempted to try the megacycle 143-40. Based on your experience would this suit the application or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Whats your intention with the bike? Max speed or power?, one video has that cam in the bike. Its very stout and runs well in the bike, I'm going to put it in the white bike.
@@67chevellepost Max power and a rev happy temperament is the intention, with the limitation of pump 93
@@Noahg929 that's what I would do, and run 93. That cam runs very well
I've had my 68 396 Camaro for almost 30 years still puts a smile on my face when I put the pedal to the metal keep the videos coming
I agree about going back to the stock steering wheel. The butternut car looks amazing. Love your attention to detail.
Thanks for sharing
looks good
Thanks long way to go but I'll get there!!!!
Hey man can you send me a good part list I saw you said you have 5 different ones. I like trail riding, drifting on dirt, wheelies, and mudding.
The black bike is what I would tell you to copy
What kinda media did you use? Soda or harsher?
This car was very rough and I used black diamond in the finest grit available
looking good, sounds good too!
As always, I love your projects and all the big block stuff. Nice work.
Shes gona be an awsome driver ❤
I’ll trade a 350x
As much as i want one this bike is a keeper
