    Love First Gold hops, fantastic flavour. Have an amber kellerbier in the kegerator right now, tapping that tomorrow. Need to brew my best bitter again soon too, lovely brew it is 4.2%, 42 IBUs of EKG, just Golden Promise and Biscuit malt for the grist.

      Sounds lovely that mate! Have never used First Gold myself but have tried them in beers so am excited to see how we get them to taste 🍻

    That thermometer looks like the 🐶dangly bits 👍I don’t profess to be an expert brewer or RUclips creator but as your videos progress I’m enjoying them more and more. If you stick at it I predict you’ll go a long way on RUclips, we are definitely lacking in UK brewtube regular content. Personal preference but I liked less swearing in this vid ( only so I know when I can watch your content as I usually watch early evening with my daughter close by ) keep it up lads brilliant I’m a fan already cheers 👍🍻

      Thanks mate! Really appreciate the comment and you tuning in! As a fan of your channel it's great to hear that from you 🍻 agree with the latter of your comment, we made an effort this time to try and drop it out! (Not having a drink helped as well)! Once again thanks for your continued support cheers 🍻

    Nice video lads. You might want to try Yeast Nutrient from Cross my Loof (always kicks the fermentation off brilliant). A couple of teaspoons and boom.
    My favourite beer style - Cask Ale.

      Nah then Neil, thanks for the comment! Our Lass is beautiful, robust and does the job! Things I have learnt is don't just jump to ya all signing and dancing set up - as our lass proves you can make cracking beer cheaply! If you need any help let us know 👌

      @@TankardBrewing thanks fot’ reply lads! And I really appreciate the offer. I think it will be a while before I get to full grain, time is my scarcest commodity presently! I mainly do clones of uk beers as I now live on Long Island USA. The extracts are working well and producing very passable results. I use Brewfather to tweak the recipes and it’s working out well. Cheers lads, keep brewing!

      @@TankardBrewing yeah thats what I was aiming for ie old fashioned English bitter. I also added biscuit malt. Ended up very similar to Everards Tiger. Definitely brewing again (I don’t say that very often)

    Guys 5 heaped teaspoons is enough for about 10 batches of beer at that gravity. Maybe more, the beer will probably taster like the nutrient, mix some in water so you learn that marmite taste

    • @TankardBrewing
      @TankardBrewing  5 месяцев назад

      Hey man, the youngs yeast nutriant instructions state 1 teaspoon per gallon 👌 however they were pretty heaped teaspoons 😂😂 we shall see! Thanks for tuning in and watching 😊

    • @duncanbayne3078
      @duncanbayne3078 5 месяцев назад

      That youngs yeast nutrient is level teaspoon per gallon of wine. Beer nutrient is a bit different as there is more for yeast in a beer wort.
      2g of a beer nutrient is plenty and 5 g if kveiik. Many would use no nutrient for such a low gravity beer,

    • @TankardBrewing
      @TankardBrewing  5 месяцев назад

      Ah that makes sense mate! One of our first times using it so we were just following the instructions! Going to order some CML nutrient for next time 👌
