Thanks for putting it out there. My son has raced a Husky EE5 for 2 seasons in the fast 50’s and has been hassle free and competitive. Best decision I ever made.
SMOKED EVERYBODY WITHOUT THE SMOKE AND THE NOISE!
I think this sight will become common sooner than people think..
This will be known as the crazy era when two stroke, four stroke and electric are all in the same race.
@@Dragehest Remember when 2 strokes and 4 strokes existed briefly in MotoGP. The 4 strokes actually had the reputation on their arrival as being hard to handle and intimidating but very powerful. It lasted one year and by 2003 there was only 1 2stroke left in MotoGP (SabreV4),
@@B2C2007 nothing is that clear cut though. That's like judging Starks if they limit the power to 30 or something. As the four stroke GP bikes had a handicap advantage in CCs over the two bangers. It wasn't like it was an open class.
@@crankydad.6769 Feel free to watch my other video where Mike Sleeter shows how the bike could be set to 52hp for a 450 race & checked by the stewards after the race to confirm the power setting throughout the race. Similar could be done for a 250 or 125 race where the governing body determine what the HP setting should be for the race. 👍🏻
Let's hope not
If Stark Varg fails, it won't be because it wasn't competitive. So, i don't know why it would fail. Love to see the sport shaken up a bit.
Stark has done everything right . Now it’s down to racing bodies to let them legally compete .
It's gonna have to have its own class. The gas bikes don't stand a chance against it. Pretty impressive.
They will just run agreed power settings for 450/250/125 classes that can be checked by the organisers as touched in my other Stark video chatting to Mike Sleeter.
the bike means fuck all in motocross . all rider
@@chrisbeerad8835 acceleration without needing gear changes would be a slight help I recon when compared to a gas bike whereas no clutch could be a negative on some terrain?
It’s not a great comparison video as the guy on the electric is clearly more skilled than his competitors. He would win on a 125.
That’s Mike sleeter riding it, he was an AMA pro and test rider so I’m pretty sure any bike he would of won like that. But cool to see it out racing
I was wondering if he was fast or if the bike was just that much better
8.28.23 How does a gas bike beat the Varg on the start? Was the start to short? Got a better jump? Nice to see the Varg racing. Thanks for sharing.
I was to surprised to see that too but I think the Varg was possibly spinning up more on the freshly watered start straight..
It was a concrete start and a I spun.
Letting others get a good start and then overtaking them within a lap is a bit of a 'hold my beer' opportunity for the SV rider :)
His RAT racing gear gave him the power to pull it off
My kids started on the Oset MX 10 and then the Husky EE5, both are electric. Last year they had the opportunity to race inside an arena cross track on live TV and in front of a crowd on electric in between the pro gas classes (they needed us to race to clear the air in between motos). I still have a 5 year old on the Husky EE5 but I'm glad my 8 year old raced a Cobra FWE all season and just started on the Husky 65cc to learn the clutch. I have a Stark Varg on order, mostly to keep up with my kids in the woods and accompany them on main tracks when they are allowed to ride in groups. I think gas and electric have their place, pros/cons etc.
The no strokes are coming!
I’m an old fella .
I understand progression
I understand smell of fumes and Brap
Interesting times
I want one

Bravo et sans bruit par dessus le marché.
Ugh. That track prep is giving me anxiety.
A great up grade on these bikes in the future would be a small (/ large if your prefer ) speaker for a 2 stroke / 4 stroke noise. Think that would be cool.
Stanmore?
Can’t wait for ktm, Yamaha, honda, Kawasaki to build them. I think even Tesla will build one.
Don’t care how fast. You can’t beat the noise of a 2/4 stroke pinned. Enjoy charging your bike. The normies will just tip a few litres of bliss in the tank. Bang bang bang.
4-stroke and 2-stroke = A lot of fuss for a little wool...said he who sheared the pig :-)
Electric just gets its power to the ground , sadly there is no ‘ veroooom ‘ or ‘ braaap ‘ you get with a ice .
+ video + + video + race + race
Race must not have been longer than 20 minutes.
Would have been a short club race. Just a few laps. Maybe on a hardback track these bikes will do 35min at top level. Maybe. On a deep track. No way.
smoked everyone lol
Yeah, but is he just a better rider than everyone else. Do all the riders in the race run about the same lap times, or is the guy on the ev bike just a better rider than everyone else who raced in that race. Makes a big difference, if they all run the same lap times, or not, if not, the guy on the ev bike would win on anything.
Imagine all this super fun racing without the annoyance of the excessive noise.
Cool! although the competition level was low and the track was designed against high end speed one can not argue against the ability for the SV to beat out the other participants on the gas powered machines. That said I'm still rockin' a carb bike 100% .....5 years from now, plug me in.
Novice race?
§Hi hi , I think so.
Just a local Vets race featuring Mike Sleeter
maybe they are just better riders
Will never pay to watch an event with them racing. Having a pro against local riders proves nothing.
No sound, no environment, and no senses equals no me lol
Blahahaha. Don't pay, don't go, who needs you?
Kind of boring, someone needs to talk over the video and give us information about the riders, etc. is the rider on the ev bike better than the other riders, or are they all about the same. If the guy on the ev bike is a better rider than everyone else this really does not prove anything. Put a bunch of equal riders on all the bikes and then see how the ev bike does against the rest of them, that would be a real test.
Thanks for watching. I have no idea about the other riders but I’m sure something with all the above will surface soon. I too would like to see 2 pros, one on a 450 & one on a Varg go at it! This was just some clips of the Varg racing that I was surprised to see that day & so soon in Australia. 👍🏻
Well we have found something that sounds worse than the four strokes. What a horrible screeching sound!
Barbie jeeps taking over 🤣
Over priced heavy piece of crap.
They are lighter but thanks for your comment 😂
Have to agree. There is a reason the big 5 are not selling full size electric motocross bikes. Unless they change the rules at professional level we won't be seeing electric anytime soon. Good luck doing 35min let alone charging and doing another 35 1 hr later.
@@StuartCali-vx7fq 260 lbs isn’t light for a mx bike 🤣
Simply googling would show that they weigh the same. Added to that manufacturers list dry weights which would give the stark the advantage with no fuel ect. Also because there’s no engine inertia they feel even lighter. Overpriced maybe but it should say underweight
I believe they are about the same price
