Surprised to see a Stark Varg at my local races at the Gold Coast MX Club race day at Yatala, so I had a brief chat with Mike Sleeter the rider & Australian sales manager.In addition to what’s in video, Mike advised he hadn’t needed to charge the battery during the day on a 52hp map for the race length they were running (maybe 5/6 laps x 3 races?). Also said he’d love to see someone racing with the 80hp map suggesting 52hp is plenty in the 450 class!

Didn’t know that Sleeter was part of Stark Future team meow. That’s rad.
I got a lot of time for Mike Sleeter. Listened to both his Gypsy pods a few times each.
Varg is going to change things going forward. It’s hard not to think we are watching a chapter in motorcycling history with this bike.

Unless it's wet then all the mud sticks to it and drains the battery quite fast so I've heard, unfortunate but the only way I see electric bikes doing well is for re-opening tracks that had noise issues or home tracks where you can ride with no noise, if I had some land I'd buy one for that but not for racing

I asked him about that off camera later & he said there was no need for the 3 or 4 5/6 lap races with a 1.2km lap. 👍🏻
