One of my favorite appetizers is 12oz whipped cream cheese , 1 envelope of good seasons dry Italian dressing, mix those together and set aside, now wash an English muffins r Persian cucumber, slice a baguette about 1 in wide, spread cream cheese mixture thinly on the bread, top with 1-2 thin slices of cucumber, sprinkle with either fresh or dried dill, serve. These are so good. Sharla I too am an appetizer freak I love just that for dinner esp on Sunday nights after a busy weekend. I'm Italian so lots of cured meats, cheeses, olives, olive or roasted red pepper tapenade which I make, crackers, or crostini fresh fruits, grapes or apples or pears. Just LOVE appetizers. I've also done just apps and drinks such a success.
Violife makes excellent non dairy cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese Tofutti makes amazing non dairy sour cream....so no worries However there is no real substitutes for cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup. I can make it from scratch but it's not the right consistency for casseroles.
Love it! I was thinkn'- didn't we already do Appetizers? Because we already did everything Bacon Wrapped. Queso Dip. Here in the US we have hot salsa with cheese that would serve really well in one of those mini Crock Pots. There is also the stand alone 5 cheese Dip. Guacamole is always good too. I happen to be in love with bite size Honeydew Melon with tiny rolled up Provolone Cheese on a toothpick. Veggie Trays with Dips are always a hit. I think it's because they are nice and light. It's fun to be creative! Thanks Ladies!
There are never a shortage of appetizer ideas at Sharla's house! Haha. We started thinking about appetizers and had so many bacon-wrapped appetizers we decided it needed it's own video. hahaha You have some great ideas listed here too! Thanks for sharing!
Wearing an apron is the easiest way to limit the risk of your foods getting contaminated by the germs in your clothes. they do provide a significant amount of protection. I worked in a kitchen for many years, plus in my own kitchen wearing protective clothing like apron and of course keeping your clothes clean too works both ways you don't know what germs your clothes are picking up from the unwashed and raw foods. The apron is lovely BTW very nice gift with your logo. About the cheese balls I have rolled them in bacon bits in lue of the nuts allergy free unless your vegetarian bacon goes with anything lol. Great ideas. I've been thinking of joining the club just I have a small family not sure would work for that. Happy holidays from ontario
Christie here: I love wearing an apron! I never thought about the risk to the food but I just wanted to protect my clothes. Now I EXTRA like wearing my apron. Thanks! I like your tip about the bacon bits on the cheese ball. That's a great idea! Also - many singles/couples enjoy the Club because the recipes are scalable. You can scale the recipe down for a smaller amount, or you can make a regular recipe and split it into smaller bags/containers. They find it works well. Thanks for watching!!
hahaha I used to feel bad that my taste buds were so lazy. I rely on Sharla's now and that's ok. Those cooking shows where they do the blindfold taste testing? I would be so bad at that but Sharla would be great at that.
Hi Linda - cooking for yourself is the hardest thing! What we find is that many of our meals divide nicely into smaller bags or containers. Then you can take out smaller portions to cook and you're still getting a variety of meals without dealing with leftovers for days. I'll link some other videos for you for meals for singles/couples. Have a look in there and see if you find those helpful. ruclips.net/video/WLCBVXTDz-0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/JHhnq58T1Rs/видео.html ruclips.net/video/1dd9nBIK_nQ/видео.html
I logged in to the club, but can't find the recipe for the Santa Fe Spirals. Is it possibly under another name? I'm thinking of taking them to Christmas dinner. Thanks in advance!
Hi Luanne, that one is in the Club library here: mealplan.freezermeals101.com/printables/ in the Appetizers meal plan. Once we get a proper photo of it, it will get added into the recipes section.
I do not like Buffalo Chicken dip. I’m definitely in the minority. I also would chop the chicken were I making it because I’m not a fan of all this shredding of meat. It’s very popular and I’m pretty sure it originates from the southern U.S. but I’m not a fan of any of these shredded meals. I prefer chopped or sliced.
I would say you're probably in the minority too but it's sure been a fad for the last 10 years or so. I hope you find your favourite dip this holiday season! Thanks for watching!
Onion would be such a hard allergy to have. It's in so many things. You must have to be really careful even for spice blends and things like that. 😢 It's sad that you're allergic to chocolate. Thankfully that one is easier to avoid than onions would be.
I always make a recipe up to just before the onions, take some out for him, and continue the recipe. His turkey dressing is always stuffed in the neck🦃, lol.
My husband was also allergic to onions. I could use a little bit of dried, but not much because even that made his throat swell if he had too much. It definitely makes you learn to adjust recipes.
I am envious of your friendship!
You are clearly women of integrity.
Danya
Thank you Danya. Our friendship has truly been such a blessing. We are both thankful for it.
Definitely the QUEENS of freezer meals!!
Thank you ladies for ‘teaching the world’. Much much much appreciated!!!
We do what we love! Thanks for watching and happy holidays to you!

That sounds AMAZING! I'm writing that down to make for New Year's Eve. Can't wait to try it! Thank you for sharing that.
I concur with diced chicken! Love the freezer Queens!
I Love the chicken Dip.
We love it too. Totally a favourite!
Spinach, artichoke dip is good on pasta.
Yes!
Try cranberry sauce & chili sauce. So good.
That does sound really good. Thanks for the suggestion!
Yes there is a lactose free cream cheese. Green Valley Lactose Free Cream Cheese.
Thank you for that information. We were hoping someone would have a solution for that!
roll the cheese ball in bacon bits or ground up ham or in crushed up cheez-it crackers
oh yeah! Now we're talking!

@Freezer Meals 101 that would be ideal, I do have you on Facebook looks fun. Ty for replying. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅 🎄
I wonder about freezing cream cheese and its texture when thawed.
I was wondering about the same. I’ve frozen it in stuff before, but how does the texture of the cheese ball turn out after thawed??
It turns out ok as long as there is enough moisture in it, like from the sour cream or whatever else you decide to throw in there.
I'm like Christie - I don't taste a huge difference in the spinach and tomato tortillas wraps.

@@FreezerMeals101 😆 "Must be chicken ... tastes like chicken ...." (she says blindfolded)
Bacon bits and/or chives on your cheese ball!
Yes! Bacon bits would be extra awesome. Way better than pecans... IMO.

@@FreezerMeals101 Thanks so much! I was trying every word combination I could thin of. lol. They look so good!
If you haven't had a cheeseball rolled in crumbled bacon you're missing out!
Yum!

I tend to chop things, too. Just not a fan of shredding things.
My son is allergic to onions and I’m allergic to chocolate. Always trying to make adjustments for the onion.

I'm allergic to onions too. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone else who is

Oh, wow, Pattie- I haven’t either.
