This is so very special to me. I went to Paris last May for the first time. I was so enraptured with the Lourvre that I didn't make it to all of the places I wanted to see. This was one that I did not make. I thought that I could just see it this year when I go. Now, I have to wait 5-6 years. Well worth the wait. We are lucky as well that you have this beautiful footage and music to share. Thank you.

Been twice in my life time ...most beautiful of all I have ever seen..... it takes you to another place as an artist I was left in awe as a historian I prayed for all who built it ...
A good deal was spared the fire

Love this video. It has brought back memories of our visit to this magnificent cathedral in 2017. How pleasing it is to see other people understand the importance her history, heritage and meaning. Thank you for posting.

Un grand merci! Thanks a lot for the sharing of this video. Beauty touches the heart of everyone. Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris- a gem of beauty and testimony to gothic architecture. Parisians, and the French people in general, should have a thought also to all the people who contributed in building Notre Dame. They were so skilled and had great knowledge in building and architecture, and did such a great job that the Cathedral still stand over 850 years. A lot has been lost in the fire, but we can see that most of it is saved because of the bravemen-the French firefighters who did their best to save what could be save. And we can say with a little help from Notre Dame herself, the Cross still stand, and many other sculptures, and the statue of Notre Dame with Infant Jesus. It is a Miracle that much of it is saved from the blazing fire. Merci a Notre Dame de veiller sur l'Eglise de son enfant béni, Jésus.

Thank you so very much for sharing your visit. I visited Notre Dame in 1976, we spent 6 hours inside looking at as much as we could. I have old small photographs somewhere in the collected stuff of a 65 year old. Your video brought me back. May Notre Dame return to her full glory in my lifetime....

Thank you for sharing this video of your time there. I may never get a chance to visit Paris but thanks to you, I have seen this beautiful piece of history. Such a sad day when the fire destroyed much of this beautiful work of art.

Great video. I highly doubt I'll ever go to France (or Europe, etc in general), so it's nice to see vacation videos others do. Such a shame about the fire.
Also, where is the background music from? I was listening to that as much as I was watching the video.

I've seen several commenters say, "I'm not religious but I'm anxious to see it restored because of the history and architecture." My question is, If you don't believe in what Notre Dame stands for, why even bother to rebuild it? Has it been reduced to nothing more than a tourist attraction?

I remembered visiting it on May 3, 2016 making it 30,000,000 visitors that year. Before that date, it was only 12,999,999 visitors a year.

    Jesus and Mary of Nazareth
And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east.
And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.
She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah."
He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy."
She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?"
She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?"
He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.' "
So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place.
And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."
But he called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream.
And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.
So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.' "
Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.
O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste."
So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?"
[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.
And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive
And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant.
And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive."
That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute.
