The Wideman sisters are so sweet im glad they were chosen for this project. As a fellow Bostonian multi-family homeowner i cant wait to see how it turns out.
It's really amazing how much more I like to watch people like this, who are normal and a lot less weird than a lot of the other rich homeowners on TOH. Everything seems so much less fake and choreographed. It makes for a better viewing experience. What a huge contrast to the first part of this season.
This statement serves to prove your prejudice, not the homeowners persona. You can dislike well off people all you want, doesnt make them any less amiable. Just different levels of existence. Maybe work on your own judgemental side and leave the show out of it
@@hammerdick82 I get what he is saying. They do some minor work on someone who looks like they could afford to hire someone, but they have a nice house so it looks good on tv.
@@hammerdick82 You’ve read one brief comment, and have decided you’ve understood their persona? And to think, you’ve tried to lecture others about prejudice. Oh, the hypocrisy
Leaving all the 80 year old cast iron. But I’m sure they’ll spend big bucks on the landscaping and the kitchen… Also, jet the pipe at 9:00? It’s completely offset? That whole thing needs to be yanked and replaced.
I really enjoy your videos on RUclips and on TV, it's a great school to see how you do everything the right way, you are the best. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
As much as I understand that they are trying to keep cost down. I would have remove all the old siding . You have no idea what condition the wall is in before you add new siding . Also you can add house wrap and insulation before the siding. Also the window areas would look better without that large buildout. But , cost may be king here.
@@claireh.7605 as far as I know , the lead painted shingles can be removed and placed in your trash can. Just wear a face mask and gloves when you tear off shingles. Plus you want to see what shape your plywood is in . You may need to replace some sections.
This isn't the typical rich person's home they usually feature on this program, where money is no object. This is a working class budget job, which means some corners will be cut.
Jetting that pipe ain't solving anything.... The pipe is split and shifted and the earth is comming in and soil is escaping to the enviroment there... Need to find that location, dig it up and align/fix it then jet out the earth and stones

I'm surprised to see such high ceiling in the basement,a plus for all the mechanicals🤗😎🤗😎
I Live in Chelsea, MA, 1920 duplex, 11ft ceilings in the basement lol

So funny, I didn’t have to see more than the first minute and I knew it was Dorchester.

"this asbestos is dangerous" starts touching and playing with loose fibers with bare hands. LoL
It’s not THAT dangerous!
20:44 they better be paying this guy well, hes a no bs man who gets the job done
They're redesign our homes all over Center Ohio.
I would love to know what happens to the hazardous material once it leaves the facility. Does it get buried, burned, left out in the field?
It's landfilled

I currently have cedar shingle with lead paint. Not sure if I should tear and replace or cover up with vinyl.

PLUS.... the insurance won't pay us for that lol
Let's touch the asbestos for visual purposes 😂
👍👍
it still going to the landfill. just slap a name on it.
Sure…
Is that the landfill in the low income neighborhood? Asking for a friend.
Asbestos came from the ground. Its just going home
@@katielin2379 its is :D
Where do you propose to take the debris if not a landfill? That's their purpose. Garbage in, garbage out.
Goes to the same landfil.
I would have painted the asbestos with a good thick layer of latex paint,
let it dry........
I don’t know, jetting 118 yr old cast iron pipe. That’s brave.
They can regulate the water pressure and use chemicals to break up the clog . May be a grease ball .
@@rayRay-pw6gz yup, 50/50 chance you'll be replacing pipe.
