Glad to see ya in the shop again Buddy….sure have been missing your radio repairs and troubleshooting old radio equipment! Thanks for the review and posting your videos! Hope you get fully recovered!!
Sick about two weeks? Same here Buddy. Really looking forward to Spring. This weather and colds totally suck. The smaller these radios get the tinier the components get to the point you can't repair them. Thanks for showing it and it's delicate circuitry.
Thanks for the info. I have no interest in DMR but I do use Wires-X everyday. Use an FTM100 and an HRI 200 for the node and room. Hope you get well soon! 73 de KB7ICI
The "possibly cristal" thing is likely the I2S microphone. That "main chip" is likely ROM or RAM. It seems to have too few wires coming out of it for being a processor. The "diode" across the battery is likely a tantalum capacitor.
i have this same DMR radio and the battery is faulty i kept it on its charging dock to turn it on i was just messing with tone settings and the volume was full i changed the tone and it shut off and now it's now turning on can you please give idea where the problem might be the charging dock is okay i checked it but radio is not turning on 😢
Working on that. My heating system is very noisy, and it was like 23 degrees outside when this was recorded. I have already purchased a new mic and waiting to find a good interface to go between the mic and camera. What you are hearing is the wind noise from the heating duct, this should help eliminate that. The built in mic on the Cannon G19 is very sensitive.
Everybody's sick right now. Get well soon Buddy and take care

Thanks 👍
Interesting radio, I am not familiar with a DMR radio.
Thanks for the video Buddy
It is digital. So you cannot hear the information being sent unlike analog signals. Thanks Bill
Nice little radio. Get better soon, Buddy! Good to see you back, always a joy to watch your videos.
Neat little radio. I doubt one could order replacement parts to repair the radio. Thanks for the peek inside. Stay warm and get well soon.
You are most likely correct Mr B. I dont think you could find parts at all. They are sort of disposable rigs.

Thanks Frank.
They need to do more videos about the RB22 radio

The mic is mounted in the front case and is not easy to get to. The main processor is a BGA type chip.
@@TheRadioShop Thank you very much for your help! Glad I learned.
Nice video
Thanks
Retevis contacted me too, I haven’t replied to them yet.
I really like the radios they have to offer Scott. Appears good quality. Thanks for the comment

I'd be happy to donate $ towards a noise canceling mic fund, to reduce the background noise.
It's his propane heater running, not sure if the mic would matter? they can be loud.
